"I take it you were late to receive the memo. Yes, I have, your Most of the crew admit that I am more then qualified enough, though if you don't care for the change of ownership, please, give me a reason..."
The Preacher chucked the tablet onto the manual, the page on Rugal's escapades was open. "How does 'Conflict of Interest' sound?" He pointed to the paragraph detailing how Rugal stole The Angel's powers. "I do not believe for a second that you're trying to lead this charge out of Altruism or to 'Protect The Planet', everything you've done you've done so you could gain something yes? You have such a lucrative opportunity before you."

The Preacher's right arm slinked around Rugal's head, his hand grabbing the man's forehead. He slammed Rugal's head into the seat to emphasise his postulations. "Why I can see it now, the armies of earth and these children at the spearhead leading the charge! All the while you command like the great general. Then, either through the thing those kids mentioned, or through pure attrition, its down to you and the Fallen Angel. And when he's weakened"

The Preacher stepped back, out stretching his arms like wings. "The Lord God Rises, And with all opposition wiped out or crippled."

wandering the halls of the ship, Kalastryn manages to find her way to the bridge again. Noting the preacher as a new face she offers a bow and sits in a chair off to the side, asking. "well your a new face... to me anyhow. Might I ask what a Preacher is doing aboard what I assume is being used as a warship? She asks, identifying him as a preacher by his clothing.

Tajuh moved in to stop any more attacks, then pulled him over to the side and harshly whispered, "Preacher, I do not need these kinds of reckless actions aboard this ship. Although you may detest him for very legitimate reasons, the fact remains that he's the most suited to be in control of this ship at this time. There are many people keeping a very close eye on all the actions that happen here, and unless you can find a more suited person onboard this ship to take the reins that has the capability to make difficult decisions and has an eye for the long term, the head of AIM will be the commander of this ship until this crisis is resolved. Am I understood?"

After finishing that tidbit, he gives the man a hard stare of a seasoned military commander. "Rest up. We'll be on that temple shortly, and you will not be the weak link."

Am I understood?"

The Preacher had just about had it with the madness on the ship. "I cannot believe your naivety. Do you honestly think placing the man whose main goal was to destroy this crew in command will work? Of course he has an eye for the long term, do you think he'll just back down once he has you all under him? If what those children said is correct and there is an artifact that can stop the fallen angel, what would stop him from just taking it? If you're so intimidating, why don't you command this vessel?"

"Rest up. We'll be on that temple shortly, and you will not be the weak link."

The Preacher stood above Tajuh at over six foot, taking a stern stance that conveyed the sincerity and gravity of his point without tying to intimidate "Commander, I'm a patient man. I've walked the Earth for a very long time, but I can only witness so much without staying my hand. I have witnessed what happens when such power is given to men like him, I will not let that happen and I will not accept your approval of letting this happen. Especially given your experience."

Ba'erth and Sentinel entered the room and faced Rugal.

"What's going on here? What is the meaning of this?"
"I refuse to stand by and watch as you take the reins here. You are not suited to lead us, evildoer."
Ba'erth drew his blades and Sentinel raised his weapon.
"You are forcibly taking the ship. That warrants resistance."

Tajuh whispered to him. "You haven't been paying much attention, have you? For all the orders Rugal's given out, he's merely a figurehead. Even with me here, he hardly has a leg to stand on. Take a look around you. There's no love lost when it comes to him, and those two schoolchildren will be the ones accessing that stone, mark my words. Allow him his delusions, for that's all they are."

Kalastryn gets up and faces the three of Sentinel, Ba'erth, and the Preacher. Tapping her forehead a couple times she says. "does it really matter who the guy barking orders is? Honestly we are in a situation of war here... and we are going over a civil dispute of the hierarchy of who is in "charge" when we should have started getting this hunk of junk moving hours ago! Look, I'm no more fond of Mr. Bernstein then anyone else here, but in reality, does it matter who sits in the chair at the top, when we all share a common goal. I don't doubt he has an ulterior motive, but really, is now the time to worry about it? While I agree Rugal here shouldn't be barking orders, we do need to step lively before the fallen angel makes his next move while we sit around here arguing over the captains chair! What's ignorant isn't the act of letting Rugal take charge, but rather squabbling over it while our enemies waltz around like they own the place!" you can see she's had about enough of this dispute, Rugal in the lead or not, they do have better things to do than argue.

Ba'erth faced Kala.
"You cannot honestly tell me that you are ok with an evildoer in command? I do not follow evil men's orders. I sense darkness in him and will not allow this. Where I come from, evil men decided they wanted command. I lost everything, and will not let it happen again."
"The SOU sure seem to be bad right now. Should we just ignore that too? All that evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing."

The Preacher stood back slightly. "That man shuck aboard this ship and deceived the crew, once he confessed, he placed himself in charge. I can only hope your training and experience has bestowed upon you sufficient instinct and common sense to allow you to win this game of chess." The Preacher sat in a seat and crossed his legs. "Well then, lets see this goodship in operation"

"well your a new face... to me anyhow. Might I ask what a Preacher is doing aboard what I assume is being used as a warship?

"Most armies need a Chaplin, for spiritual matters. I'm merely a wanderer, I ended up on board, and stayed on for the ride."

Riki.
Location: Rising Dawn. Riki & Kud's room, (Tomoya's room).
Time: Almost Midnight.
Still up from the terrible nightmare he witnessed. Riki sat up on the bed and let out a sigh of annoyance, he needed some time out of this room. Quickly but quietly getting out of the bed, he retrieved his clothes from the bathroom and left the room with his key to the room. It seemed the Rising Dawn was still active but some of the bright characters had disappeared, it was indeed a busy day they had today with the Rise of Dark Tomoya and the destruction of the once bustling city of New York.

Walking around, Riki managed to get to the kitchen once more and made himself some tea. Picking out two cups for himself and Kud, he quickly finished his own tea and began to return to the room with the cups but overheard an argument above. Walking quickly he managed to find himself outside of the bridge where it seemed that two parties were arguing.

One was the scary steroid man from before and a few others, and the other party was formed of the man they saved and a few others. Riki managed to peek from outside and began to watch, remembering the time he scared both of them and especially his younger lover he wanted to pounce on him but his peaceful side decided to stay out for now. ("Wait... if I remember clearly. Shaun told me about a couple of events which might of accelerated Tomoya's downfall.") He thought to himself as he looked towards Rugal.

Teri held her head in her hands for a moment, and typed;
Code:
"Ugh, so THAT's how the party wizard feels after a bit too much spell casting... Wait-- You just said I can get training?! Yippee!"
Her tired eyes had brightened at the sound of being able to work more healing magics; but felt a distinct emptiness within her.
Code:
"I think I may have used up all of my spells already... :("
She typed,
Code:
"But something still feels... 'Okay' about that. I dunno. Maybe I'm delusional."
What the young Writer did not mention was the fact that she noticed something... Comforting about the paladin before her. Sort of like a feeling of comraderie? As if Slindis was acting like a mom? She shook her head a little. "I'm probably just happy to have a friend here. No biggie. Now, If I'm getting healing powers via interacting with a DnD character... What class am I working into?" Teri thought to herself; but decided to banish the thought as well. The paladin before her wasn't Devon's piece of paper anymore. She was a living breathing person; and Teri needed to think of her as such.

Location: Rising Dawn
Time: Night
BlackHarte closed his eyes and shook his head, "Under normal circumstances, I could display the events proceeding upon a monitor, but... the Succubus is causing some interference with the rehabilitation procedure..." His body shifted uncomfortably, as if a wave had swept through the swarm that constituted his form, "I am trying not to harm either the Succubus nor Master Cwanuld. But it is proving... difficult."

---

The shadows underneath the sheets lunged upward and wrapped themselves around Kurumu's arms, legs, and neck. Then they pulled her hard down against the bed, "If you are not quiet, you will wake the Young Master." Kyre's weak grip on Kurumu's tail tightened as she stirred slightly from her sleep.

BlackHarte walked over gently and sat down on the bed in front of Kurumu, the dark tendrils had begun to work themselves across the whole of her body in an attempt to hold her still, "Just think for a moment Kurumu," the human Black Heart said, putting a large hand on Kyre's head and stroking her hair, [color=nightmare}"right now, what she wanted the most was to have you. She doesn't have the mental capacity to understand what's happening to her, much less understand what all those things that happened to her in the past means."[/color]

BlackHarte smiled warmly as he wrapped his arms around Kyre and propped her up, the little girl was still heavy from sleep, "[sub]Mama? What's going on?[/sub]"

"Do not misunderstand like most organics do, I am not remaking her, nor am I augmenting her. I am simply fixing her brain chemistry so that she may actually think."

Child Kyre turned a sleepy eye to BlackHarte and held onto him with her hands, but still not letting go of Kurumu's tail. "Mama, let go of mama..."

BlackHarte put a hand on Kyre and stroked her hair softly, "Quiet young master, think not of anything. It will be done soon."

The Drow began pulling out various texts from her bag, all of which were holy scriptures. Teri could even see the Bible in the small pile. [color=c20000]"Due to our time being extremely limited, I'm going to have to skimp on some of the training. Unfortunately, the parts that I'll be leaving out are the ones related to physical combat and the usage of heavy armor. So, let's look through these texts. When I found a few people that spontaneously found the divine calling in my journey in Thrane, it was the easiest way to find the path the person was going to go. Even if some of these were produced via Cannith's printshops, they should still hold a connection to you if you're bound on that path."[/color]

Indeed, a good few of the texts seemed to call at Teri as Slindis continued on in a tone associated with some of the harsher teachers Teri had known. [color=c20000]"In addition, that book I just handed to you earlier is going to become your best friend. By the time we're through, you will not only know it from cover to cover, you'll be fixing some of the errors in it and improvising means to cover injuries not found within its pages!"[/color]

Teri nodded with a mixture of anxiety and excitement. She was going to learn more about healing magic! It was a start; anyway. However, with her teacher's tone... Teri could see a world of hurt coming her way. She found it interesting that Slindis had a Bible on hand, being that Christianity wasn't in Ebberon, or at least as far as the new Cleric knew... She reached for the Bible and flipped through the pages a little, and gave a small smile. It was comforting to see this book again, the black and red texts spilling over the girl's eyes as she flipped around.

"Never thought this would influence my life as it does now... I suppose I should do a bit more praying from now on...""

She looked up at Slindis again, and typed,
Code:
"I'll do my best! Now, where do we start?"

"no, I am not suggesting in any matter that Rugal should be in charge, but this isn't a democracy, and we've more important matters to take care of than deciding who sits in the big chair and yells at us. If anything we simply keep him on board the ship when we get to key locations, or keep him under close watch. While I do not agree any more than you do, stranger," she says, facing Ba'erth "that an evil man should be in charge, let us consider how much control he actually has... it's not like sitting in that chair attaches puppet strings to our limbs, I'm saying let him have his delusions of control. and let us not forget the stone said only a soul void of sin and darkness can wield it, so Rugal couldn't steal it if he wanted to. essentially, he can bark orders at us all he wants, but in the end, this is a game in which winning is not an option for Mr. Bernstein." she says with a chuckle

Slindis stretched out as she took her student into the training room. [color=c20000]"For starters, we're going to work on your focus. It's essential for every one of your spells, and being able to focus is key to making quick decisions if you're drawn into combat. Now then, let's start with a simple one: read the passage on how to set a compound fracture without pausing. When you can do that, we'll move to the next step."[/color]

While Teri started reading, Slindis pulled out a bow with blunted arrows, firing them around the author. The room's settings had been reset, so they wouldn't bounce around like they had during Kurumu's fight with Melethia.

Teri would have voiced a protest against being shot at; but you know, lacking in voice and everything. So, miserably, she did her best to read the passage at hand. However, when a stray arrow hit her in her forehead, the girl glowered at the paladin, and then ducked to avoid another one from reaching her eye.

[color=c20000]"Your dodging skills seem to be good enough; but you forget my pupil. This is a lesson in concentration. Read the passage! CONCENTRATE!"[/color]

The Writer would have yelled something at Slindis, but again, vocal cords not usable. Thus, the girl began to run around the training room with arrows being shot at her. Funny how the information she WAS able to retain that accessing a compound fracture immediately was important, despite being shot at. The main trouble was reading the rest of the passage.

Slindis noticed that the author was beginning to get comfortable with the pattern the arrows were being fired, so she varied it up. After what seemed like hours but what was in reality only thirty minutes, Teri eventually managed to read the passage with more than a few marks that would leave nasty bruises later.

[color=c20000]"Somewhat passable, but we now have to move to the next step. Search for the magical and supernatural diseases, the causes, symptoms and ways they're transmitted, and the cures for them. Get to it!"[/color] Teri saw that the kind paladin from earlier had changed personalities to one of the harshest teachers that she had ever known, but that thought was interrupted as an arrow screeching like sharp nails being dragged across a chalkboard whistled between her legs.

[color=c20000]"Snap to it, Teri!"[/color]
