"Also, do you have any of those tinted black glasses Blind people often have? Personally, I found them to be unattractive, but I guess a man walking around with no eyes is even less so. That and it'd keep the dust and wind out."

Teri looked about in the cabinets of Med Bay, but found nothing. With a light frown, she thought to herself, "Hmn... No glasses... I know!"

She took a quick look at Rugal's face, to get a general idea of what his face looked like, and suppressed a laugh; "I know exactly what to get him!"

She tried her hardest to scribble in the tablet as quietly as possible, and with an unceremonious flash of light from the cabinet, Teri had poofed in what (she considered) to be supremely fitting glasses for Rugal.

Yup. She poofed him Terminator shades.

She was trying VERY hard not to let the giggles spill out of her, as she handed them to the Fighter;

"I think these will do nicely for you... Last one's left too."

Rugal quickly did a quick self check after the glasses were put on.
"Mmmm...what are these?...Sunglasses?....Mmmmm Well, guess I can't be too picky at a time like this. I'll order some custom ones in once we're in the clear anyway." He said as he pressed them in closer to cover his eye sockets better.
It was then he began to pick up on Teri's suppressed giggling.
"....Is something funny?...." He asked in a semi-threatening tone, wondering what she did to those sunglasses.

Rugal quickly did a quick self check after the glasses were put on.
"Mmmm...what are these?...Sunglasses?....Mmmmm Well, guess I can't be too picky at a time like this. I'll order some custom ones in once we're in the clear anyway." He said as he pressed them in closer to cover his eye sockets better.
It was then he began to pick up on Teri's suppressed giggling.

Teri couldn't help it anymore, and quietly asked Rugal; *Mmph*

"Oh... Nothing's wrong with them... But can I ask you a little question? Could you say, 'I'll be back' in your best Austrian accent? That would be awesome."

That was all Rugal said, just a great big flat what, He was used to moronic requests, especially since Doom joined his ranks with more to come thanks to Alucard.
Then again, the only person who'd know if he was being soft was Viscus and like he would tell.
"...Fine *Clears throat* I'll be back..." He said in a dead on serious tone, It was almost as if the man himself had said it right in front of Teri.

Slindis walked in the room and nodded upon seeing the two. [color=c20000]"Captain, what would you say about helping me with some of Teri's mandatory training?"[/color] Before Teri could respond, the paladin guided her to the Training room.

[color=c20000]"I know you think my training's hard, but you will thank me for this soon."[/color] Rugal could clearly hear where the two went, and it wasn't that hard for him to get to the training area from where he was.

Before Slindis annouced the training.

The girl paused for a moment, complete surprise overtaking her; and then Rugal could sense a build-up of that aforementioned brightness; and then it overtook his sensors. If it were possible to be blinded again; Rugal would have been certain that he would have been. Excited garbles of static and electronic noise erupted from the Tablet, as the girl jumped up and down in joy.

"asdkfsiflkfs;lfsd;fsdkjfsd;fskfa;jsdf;ajsdf; Oh my gosh, that was AWESOME!"

Thankfully, the aura died down as quickly as it arrived, no doubt on account of the medic becoming embarrassed by her outburst,

*Ahem* "Er, very impressive, sir. You sounded just like Mr. Schwarzenegger. Er, uh... I'm gonna grab some water. Want some?"

Rugal held his ears at Teri's extremely loud outburst of Squeeing, It was bad enough being blind without being deaf as well.
"Lord above, Next time tone it down, Sheez..." He said as she calmed down, He never even seen Terminator.
The Door opened again, putting him on guard, least until Slindis identified herself.
"Mmm...Alright. Not like I have anything else to do, Tajuh is taking care of that..." He said as he got up and followed the pair.
"Still don't understand what was so funny about that..."

Slindis entered the room, struggling through the computer until she finally got the settings she wanted. [color=c20000]"Teri, your job here will be simple. Keep Rugal safe through the mission no matter what.If he falls, use what you've learned from the book. I will only be watching you, so I will not aid you at all."[/color]

Right after she said that, the lights in the room dimmed considerably. Before Teri could get her bearings, a faint whoosh was heard as a rod came at the guts of the two with surprising force.

Rugal recalled his battle with Rose and Lily in this very room and the price he paid for failure.
He went into a sort of daze as he moment of his defeat played out in his mind.
It was his second greatest failure since....
He became clearly uncomfortable for a moment before he calmed himself down, He'd suffered enough without one of the so called "Experts" here digging into his personal demons.
"So what training are we doing?"
[color=c20000]"Teri, your job here will be simple. Keep Rugal safe through the mission no matter what.If he falls, use what you've learned from the book. I will only be watching you, so I will not aid you at all."[/color]
Then the lights went off and Teri was as Blind as Rugal was.
"....I don't think this is a theory te-OOOF!" He let out as he was struck in the gut with what felt at least like a Iron Rod.
He fell to a knee mostly due to surprise then actual pain.
"WHAT THE HELL!? Slindis, what the hell has gotten into you?!" He shouted as another high speed rod whizzed past his head.
He instinctively ducked and brought his arms up to cover his head, taking one of those rods at that speed to the head could knock him out.
"Teri! Where are you!?" He shouted blindly as he heard more passing by overhead.

Scare fo a little AHNALD impression?

"Oof! Ow... Son of a- AH!"

Teri found herself flat on her face as she was knocked over by another rod. As she struggled to get up, her tablet called out,

"I'm to your right, Mr. Bernstein! AH! Ow! STUPID RO-, AH! Oof! Just listen to my stupid- ah! Complaining ass! AHH!"

She looked left and right for another rod or two; trying to look out for her missing charge.

"Try to follow my voice. I'll stay still for you."

"Oh really?" Slindis thought to herself, as she began to turn up the frequency of the attacks.

As she increased the frequency of the attacks, Teri's eyes began adjusting to the dimmed light, and she could see the monstrosity of the 'simple' task Slindis had set out for them. The faint whooshing of arrows joined the mix as Teri could faintly see the rods popping up from every angle. The deployments were so erratic, they were hard to time. In addition, she felt around, noting that there were clear glass walls, some of which produced the dimmed light.

Teri would have to maneuver through this hell in order to get to Rugal.

5:30AM

"Goddamit Slindis, Pray to god that one of these knock me out!" He threatened as he began to wade though the incoming projectiles.
His lack of vision made avoiding them near impossible so he resorted to just sucking it up, taking several shots to the back and mid-section as he covered his head.
After following Teri's voice, he bumped into one of the Glass Walls.
"Dammit, There's a Wall. Hold on and stay clear. I'm going to break it down!" He shouted as he got ready to do just that.
Then disaster, as he was unaware of the Arrows, one embedded itself in his kneecap.
"GAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! AH! ARROWS!? GODDAMMIT SLINDIS, STOP THIS AT ONCE! THAT IS A ORDER!" He shouted as he fell.
"Goddamit....TERI! Watch for the arrows! I'll survive for now!" He said as he redoubled his efforts to break that wall down.

I wonder if breaking walls is part of the rules

Teri immediately broke into a run toward's Rugal's voice after hearing his cries of pain; hand staying on the wall to act as a guide:

"I'm coming for ya, Mr. Bernstein!"

Adrenaline began to course through the young medic's system as she began to bolt towards the wounded man. Of course, she was panicked at the sound of her comrade crying out in pain; but after suffering the training of Slindis shooting arrows at her; the darkness only impeded her so much. Determination filled her as she followed after the walls, despite the angry bruises and wounds that began to cover side.

Rugal's punching the wall didn't seem to do much to the integrity of it, although a miniscule crack formed that was nigh-impossible to see without knowing to look at that exact spot in better conditions. Meanwhile, Teri's advance continued, although her hand and head were thwacked more than a few times by the rods. They didn't knock her out, but they were really starting to hurt. The cleric in training was even adjusting more to the darkness when the room's floor started shaking up and down.

One thing the two of them may have noticed when they got knocked down from a combination of the shaking and the sweeping rods was that no matter what, the arrows stayed far away from any vital areas.

Klaara said nothing in response, and instead eyed the dark night sky outside of the restaurant. The stars boded ill news for the future, calamity would strike, but where, what, and to whom. The seafood platter arrived after a period of silence and Klaara picked up the first piece of severed crab and began to suck out the fibrous meat within.

Kyre was silent, the blood dribbled down her chin and splashed softly against the metal floor. Her eyes seemed to sparkle brightly, and she never stopped chewing. There was a heavy silence, and then she swallowed what she had in her mouth and shoveled the piece she held in her hands, and then consumed that as well.

Only after she was done eating did she finally utter a few words, her voice was carried with a sense of innocent sweetness, "I'm just having dinner Miss Kurumu!" She licked the blood from her hands, "I was just so hungry... and Sir Edward tastes so good I could die."

BlackHarte grunted behind her, his stomach was sewing itself together.

Angelus' room

Tajuh approached the room and briskly knocked on the door. "Angelus, this is Tajuh. I need to talk with you about your author." He had taken another look at the scene earlier through the camera recordings, and there were some facets on it he needed to know more of before their arrival in South America.

Rugal was feeling around the wound to his leg, He'd had worse injuries for sure, but it was clear that he needed to get the he needed to get out of here before-
Then the floor began to rise and fall on top of all the other shit.
Christ, no expense spared, haven't seen training this bad since....I guess Gou Hibiki. He thought as he picked himself up, using the wall he failed to break as a prop.
Once he managed to stand again, He continued to try and protect himself.
He was starting to wonder who the training for, Teri or him.
Either way, he needed get her out and quickly before Slindis killed the both of them and thus he began to shimmy along the wall to try and get around it.

Fionn reached out his hand to look at the gauntlet, smiling while he inspected it. "Yeah, its not Artificer or Mythril, but it does the job. I had a Masterwork Mythril glove at one point, during The War. It could deflect almost any blade, regardless of magic But then times changed." He pulled out Sandy to underline his point. "Yep, once most people made the change to Gunpowder, armor became nigh useless. Colt did one hell of a job making arcane technique obsolete outside of the battlefield." He holstered the weapon, turning to Melethia "Of course, Mages never became any less dangerous, just rarer and with a bigger advantage in the long run. That's where I came in."

Teri was pretty certain that she was making some sort of progress with the walls; but Rugal remained out of sight.

"Mr. Berstein! I know you're not feeling very good right now; but I need you to say something; anything! It's the only clue that I have for your location!"

As she edged along the wall, Teri thought that perhaps she could see the outline of the King of Fighters, and called out;

"Mr. Bernstein! Can you hear me?"

Caim and Angelus' room

The red dragon perked up upon being called upon; and looked to her two charges. Caim was on the verge of getting up; to which the dragon placated and put back to bed.

"Reserve your strength, and take advantage of this rest now."
"Mhmn... Fine. Make it quick."
"I cannot guarantee anything..."

As for Cadolbolg, she lightly slipped the baby dragon from her lap, and placed him on the bed as well. As she exited, her expression turned inquisitive, and she asked, "What's this about Teri? Did something happen?"

Hell on the Rising Dawn, AKA Slin's Training Room

When Teri finally made her way to Rugal, her eyes had fully adjusted to the dark room when the activity completely stopped in there for around five seconds.

[color=c20000]"Congratulations. Now for the next step."[/color]

Before either of the two had time to ask what this next step was, the room was illuminated in an extremely bright flash of light, blinding the young trainee that had just gotten acclimated to the light. Just as suddenly as it came, the light vanished again and the room redoubled in its intensity.

Hallway outsie of Angelus' Room

Tajuh was leaning against the wall and spoke up. "Angelus, I know that your Author likely went through something that as very difficult. So tell me, and do be honest: what does the name Bruiser mean to you two?" Although he tried his best to hide it, Angelus could tell that the man was asking this out of concern.
