The trio stepped off the elevator and began to made their way though the Base
"Pretty cool, ain't it? Its no Castle, but it has all the bells and whistles, Come, We'll show you around." Bruiser said as he led the newcomer though the Base.
They soon reached the Personal Quarters of the base and the wreak room where Wesker was being....Wesker.
They found the former mastermind at the bottom of several empty bottles, passed out of course.
[color=6C1504]"5:30 already huh?...Albert Wesker, used to be a real smarty pants, then he got on the bad said of a Vampire. Never really got over it, Still, though all the booze, I can assure you, he's still one of our better Agents."[/color]
A grown followed by a bump broke the ice.
"...When he can stand that is...."

Viscus
The AI kept his sights trained on Dimitri despite Teri Identifying who he was.

"....In the future Miss Gravel, Refer to me before adding new programs to the Ship, Otherwise, you risk creating a weak link in the Automated Defences. Dimitri: refrain from any sub-systems I operate in otherwise I will Terminate you. Log off...[u]Now[/u]."

Location: Rising Dawn, Armory.
Time: Early morning.

Whilst the unknown presence was sneaking above the 17 year old girl, she was examining a japanese katana which was in the corner of the armor. Kud loved japan and japanese things even though she was part Russian. Looking around for anyone, Kud quickly picked up the katana and pulled it out of it's sheath and swung it around.

"Hehe~" Kud giggled to herself as she paused for a brief while until she felt a light touch on her shoulder. Turning around she simply heard "Boo" before freaking out. "WAFUU~!" She yelped and covered her eyes with her hat, scared to look at the person in front of her.

Until her hat blew off of course.

Fionn shook off the latest fire attack, seeing the panic around him, he decided to stop holding himself back. "All right Heat Man, lets dance".



He pulled out his rapier and held it in his left hand, charging towards the elemental wielding both blades. The White gloow once again ran down both blades as he slashed at it.

Blizzara Blades.​

Large icicles shot out from the ceiling and floor, locking the giant in place as he began to tear the flaming Goliath to pieces.

He began to chant as he lead up to the last strike, electricity enveloping both blades. "Time to light up the room eh?" He leaped up and plunged both swords into the Elemental.

Inuart repressed a laugh; trying his best not to insult his (most likely) superior officer, and muttered to Bison, [sub]"What exactly did the Vampire do to him that caused this level of despondence? I understand the creatures are deadly; but this is... Borderline pathetic."[/sub]

The Computer Mainframe

Teri frowned and said with venom;

"His source coding does not exist in the Rising Dawn, so you've no reason to fear him as an 'addition' to the systems. Furthermore; he was made to prevent other users' untimely deaths or maimings; so forgive me for acting in my line of duty. Dimitri; return before Viscus gets his panties in a further twist."

The butler only gave a curt nod to Viscus, and asked, [color=3897E0]

"Perhaps if you could provide a listing as to where I am allowed; that would prevent any missteps in the future."

Lowering The_Nine_Iron, the AI quickly returned to his home terminal; looking very much more miffed as than he was earlier.

"Although I understand his intentions and, forgive my language Madam, but I dare say he may be the rudest program I've yet to encounter! Is he always like that?"

Teri could only nod and type;

"Unfortunately, yes. I don't usually mind him; but for your sake, I'd listen to him. I don't want you to be deleted. Now, focus upon repairing YAMATA-NO-OROCHI. He needs the most attention at the moment. PRINCIPALITY and SEIRYU can lick their own wounds for now."

"Of course, Madam. It will do well for my... State regarding the matter. If you'd like; I'll keep a progress bar in the background?"

"I'd appreciate that. I'll let you know if I need anything else."

"Yes, Madam. Dimitri out."

With that, the AI's face disappeared from the screen, and a pixelated graphic appeared of the various programs being fixed up as a green progress bar appeared with the following message:

YAMATO-NO-OROCHI.EXE REPAIR WILL BE FINISHED IN 30 MINUTES.

Training Room

Caim gave a smile as he saw his weapon's magic coming to good use, and was pleased to see that the other warriors in the room were, at least in his eyes, of decent competency. They could not use any stragglers in the temple later on.

Fionn stood over the remnants of the dead Elemental, noting the ease with which it was dealt with. "Come on, there has to be a better challenge than this?" The Computer had detected Fionn's abilities and began to compensate for it at his "request", creating an opponent he'd know, but would provide a worthy challenge.

Higher Power Levels detected, recalculating opponent strength.

Fionn turned around to see the the new opponent appear, "Oh, bugger. Gentlemen, get out now."

Hey kids, Its a giant robot scorpion!​

Slindis took the wounded Jake out of the room. [color=c20000]"Honestly, the thought was appreciated, but you need to be able to size your opponents better."[/color] When she was out of the room, the scorpion appeared with Caim and Fionn still inside [color=c20000]Great, more of them. It seems that it should be around their area, though, and tending to this human's qounds takes priority.[/color]

[color=6c1504]"He never said, but from what I gathered, After a failed experiment, A Vampire named Stella captured his soul, Don't ask how because I don't know. What I DO know is in that state, she could do anything to him and there was nothing he could do about it. I do believe he was in that state for several months to a year."[/color] He explained as Wesker attempted to wake up, only to fall off the counter.
[color=6c1504]"I knew that man before it happened. He was extremely proficient in Biological weapons, but that role has since been taken up by Dr. Cortex. It is a sad sight for certain, but what can you do?"[/color]
"Point and Laugh?"

Viscus

"I'll send on a listing, Now begone."

Viscus said as he got one ready.
Once Dimitri was out, he received the list.
It was the size of a note found in fortune cookie and it merely read "Personal Quarters: Teri Gravel".
Viscus wasn't about to let Dimitri have any breathing room.

Akane was quick to run to Slindis and Jake and help the Paladin with the wounded Author. Standing just outside the doorway, Jake could only grin sheepishly at them all.

"I'm sorry Ms Slindis. I could've sorted that whole thing with my Author powers, and I forgot what I was. Got caught up in the moment and all. Fuck me, would've hurt bloody less... That's for sure." Jake apologized.

*SMACK*

Jake and Slindis could only look on stunned as the Kitsune turned on her heels and crossed her arms. The slap mark was very evident on Jake's face. "Then think next time you idiot! What happens to me if you die?! What happens if we're attacked now!"
"You'll live, we've been through this! ALL of us Authors have! *HACK COUGH COUGH* Oh gods that hurt... My chest, right in the center..." Jake tried to shout.

His face went pale as he realized what was wrong. His sternum had been cracked.

Inuart nodded along with the story, and then perked up at the mention of the 'good' doctor, and asked, "Ah, yes; the doctor. Er... Aside from getting to know whom this fellow is; is there any other reason we're here? Otherwise, I am rather eager to meet this doctor you've mentioned on several occasions..."

Outside the training room

As Dimitri angrily continued his work upon fixing her programs, Teri disconnected the USB from the terminal and ran to Jake's side; already pulling on a set of gloves.

"We need to get him to the Med-Bay! Akane, can you carry him? Ma'am; do you think it'll be alright to leave Caim and Fionn on their own in the Training Room? I have confidence in their abilities; but your help might be the last push. Please, I believe I can do this; if you'd allow me!"

Inside

Caim's grin remained wide; and whirled around the Spade at the ready.

"I'll take it's left leg; you get the right. On you mark, GO!"

And with that, the warrior charged ahead at the scorpion's supports.

Outside the training room, Slindis nodded. [color=c20000]"They can handle themselves there, but I need to make sure this human didn't suffer any other injuries."[/color]

Fionn noticed it's tail was raised, any direct attack would result in the Scorpion defending itself with its tail.

"I'll take it's left leg; you get the right. On you mark, GO!"

"Wait, No!" Fionn tackled Caim and pushed him out of the way of a barrage of Lightning Bolts. The Scorpion kept its distance, aiming its Gatling Guns at the Pair.

"We have to cut off the tail, or it'll just fry anything that gets near it. It'll absorb electricity with it as well. I'll distract him." Fionn leaped over into the Scorpion's view, waving his arms about "LOOK AT ME I'M A TARGET!" He pulled out Sandy and began firing, keeping his distance. The Scorpion replied with Gatling fire, keeping an eye on Caim.

Spoiler: Scorpion's Weaponry/Abilities

-Two Gatling Guns, one on each arm. (Both are enchanted so each bullet fired is enveloped with flames)
-Two Cannons, loaded with explosive shells.
-Lightning Tail, Absorbs Electrical attacks, fires Bolts to protect its legs.
-Stomp: Can raise one of its legs to stab/crush an attacker

[color=6c1504]"Understandable, There'll be time for meet and greet later. Bruiser....Sober him up."[/color] Bison ordered as he led Inuart towards the actual Research Labs.
They passed by several of Cortex's creations, It was a massive zoo where animals were mutated together, A Koala with Gorilla, A Dingo and a Crocodile, Some strange mouse man that looked like he was out of some Mobster Flick, the list went on.
After several minutes of eyeing up the freaks, they reached the Lazarus Pit chamber, a large green glow filled the room as several men were taking samples.
[color=B4B400]"-AND I TOLD YOU, NO SAUCE ON MY BURGER! GET IT OUT OF HERE!"[/color] A rather small man yelled at his interns as he flew about on a hover-board, throwing said burger at him.

[color=6c1504]"Dr. Cortex, This is one I was telling you about. Inuart, Met Dr. Neo Cortex, Creator of the Lazarus Pit. He is the "Egghead" as Bruiser put it."[/color] Bison introduced them.

Outside the training room
Jake shuffled a bit and got an arm wrapped around Akane's shoulder, she likewise doing the same and supporting him as they made their way to the Med-bay.
"Mental note to self... Pilot complex... does not work on ground. Thanks... Everyone."

Akane just bit her lip to stop her from crying and hitting her stupid author again. Then Jake spoke again between laboured breaths.

"Hey Teri... Can you keep talking to me? Anything, just keep me talking and breathing, I don't wanna go into shock."

When they got to the medical room, Slindis took a closer look at the human's injuries. He'd been knocked around quite a bit, and his sternum was certainly one of the larger areas of damage. Luckily, he had been protected from the fires, so he didn't have any burns. [color=c20000]"Akane, we'll need you to hand over any supplies. Teri, we're going to use the procedure for setting broken bones in a pinch. If you see anything in your area that demands attention, call it out."[/color] After issuing those orders, the drow tied her hair behind her head and replaced her gauntlets for thin, opaque gloves that were reserved for medical procedures.

AIM

Inuart, having dealt with dragons, borderline sociopaths and demonically possessed children; was not fazed by the doctor's appearance or of the appearance of the creatures around him. Rather, he was fascinated by the zoo of creatures the doctor had created, as well as the knowledge the doctor could impart to him (especially in regards to Furiae's rebirth). Extending his hand Inuart said; "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir. I look forward to learning more about your research and it's applications."

The Battle Room

Caim nodded to his comrade; and reached into the Wheel; pulling out Hymir's Finger, a huge and nasty looking greatsword.

"This should do the trick."

And with that, the warrior ran towards the scorpion again; and made use of his jumping ability to leap towards the tail, and bring the blade down.

Teri and Jake

"Yes Ma'am! Getting right too it!

As she began to do some of the preliminary preparation; her voice continued to ring from the Tablet:

But Jake, want me to talk? Uh... Well, I can't say I'm the best conversationalist; but I'll try. Hmn... I made an AI, somehow... Named him Dimitri; after my computer. He's kind of working to fit some programs I used to stop the algorithm that's dropping the monsters, but it looks like we're too late; what with the scorpion and everything. Sorry about that... We really did our best; until Viscus decided to show up and be a douche-nozzle to us."

Akane nodded and moved to the small tray Slindis had prepared. She looked on with fright, healing was not her forte. Aftan had a much quicker way, she knew.

Jake kept nodding and listening to Teri, replying even as they laid him on a bed. "Heh, sounds like you did pretty good kid. Anyone ever tell ya you've got a cute voice? I don't mind that ya stole me room, sorry for it being a big mess. You can keep it if'n ya like, I'll find another eh? Sorry I didn't think ta just stop that training with me author powers, Caim... Cayim is a bad influence eh. Oi, Slindis. Don't worry bout being gentle, just fix me up please? Jeez, more women on this airship I owe me life to. Thanks eh guys. Thanks."

Slindis nodded. [color=c20000]"Thank me after we finish. Akane, heat the blades then dip them in the water to clean them. Teri, some of the sleeping agent we used on Rugal, but a much lower amount."[/color]

Cortex shook Inuart's hand with his stick like arm.
[color=B4B400]"Finally, someone who cares about my work. UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE!"[/color] He shouted to this interns.
He motioned Inuart to follow him to beside the pit.
[color=b4b400]"This is the Lazarus Pit or as I like to call it, The "Dr.-Cortex-punches-death-in-the-face" Pit. observe."[/color] He explained as Inuart looked on into the bubbling pit.
*PEW*
He recoiled as Cortex blew the head off one of the Interns with his Ray Gun, coating him in Brains and Blood.
[color=b4b400]"...Roll him in..."[/color] He calmly said as two of the remaining interns casually kicked the dead man into the pit.
[color=b4b400]"BEHOLD! MY MASTERPIECE! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"[/color] He laughed madly as he hit the on switch, electricity turned the pit a deep blood red.
And almost as quickly as it started up, he turned it off.
[color=b4b400]"Ding....Turkey's done."[/color] He said as the Intern was dragged out, shaking in fear.
[color=b4b400]"And that's why, you NEVER! PUT SAUCE! ON MY BURGER!....Any questions?..."[/color] He asked as blood dripped from his forehead.

What's left of the Training Room.

The Scorpion attempted to dodge Caim's attack, but it was too late to stop the strike. The great-sword went through the tail with next to no resistance, sending the walking tank staggering, blindly firing in all directions. Fionn seized the initiative and focused his attacks, now unloading Sandy in a near instant, each shot hit a joint in the Scorpion's legs, almost crippling it. The Scorpion barely stood up, aiming its arms at Caim and firing both cannons at it. It then turned to fire on Fionn.

Med Bay

Nodding along to Jake's words, and thinking that they were the mutterings of a delirious man, Teri gave a faint smile as she injected the needle into the Author's arm and slowly pushed the sleeping medication in.

"Don't fight the medicine, Jake. I'll talk to you again soon. Hey, I might even let you talk to Dimitri!"

As the male Author found himself falling under the influence of the medicine; Teri's smile faded away and slipped into a more serious expression as the surgery was about to begin.

Training Room Remnants

Caim rolled to the side to dodge the turrets aimed at him; and brought the greatsword into a leg; causing the machine's leg to buckle and fall. Caim gritted with pain when he felt a piece of metal hit his shoulder, but he was able to get out of the wreckage without incident. But the machine was as stubborn as the man who jut broke one of the machine's leg.

"Persistent insect! I'll feed your corpse to a garbage compactor!"

AIM

Inuart balked at the science being performed before him; to which Bison had to close his gaping jaw. When the bard realized what he had seen, he stammered; "This is amazing! How..? HOW?!"

[color=b4b400]"By science, my good man! Now, why do you ask about the Lazerus pits...? Let me guess, you want someone back from the dead? It'll cost you..."[/color]

"I know, and I'm willing. Please. I'd do anything for her return. But, there's one problem..."

Cortex's eyes glinted at the sound of "A problem" and at his urging, Inuart began to explain what became of his love...
