Ryan sighed
"This dream world is beautiful, look at the sunset Zero, if you have a soul You will know."
Zero and all the others turned to see. blue clouds parted away from the Great emerald sun. the sky was a deep green setting the sea from deepest indigo to magenta."
"It's beautiful." stated Farrago.
"I know these people are the descendants of lost souls, I also Know that the wind fish wants to be awakened."
Ryan clenched his fist. however he took a deep breath and let it all go.
"Let's set sail," he enthusiastically he then pointed east ward the wind was blowing in that direction."for the fiery Island of Dinn."

"Aye Aye Captain!" Farrago called as she gunned the engines. As everyone took a seat on the ship, Jack stood up and called for attention. "So, we're now on a fetch quest to get out of this dream world. I vote we simply demolish each temple we come across and grab the whatever we have to grab thingy, because we will come across them and I really do not want to go through temples. We're here to rescue Youmu, nothing more, nothing less."
"But we don't need to, I can use the Supspace Highway!" Scott added, but everyone ignored him.
Tomoya stood up and began to speak. "But we can't, thats cheating isn't it?"
"Well, not really. It's a dream world that is going to be destroyed at the end, so why not?" Zero added.

"Well choose quickly, because we're here!" Farrago said in a loud voice. The Heroes all looked to Ryan, who had been silently thinking the whole trip.

 

[Orinon]

Ryan had been thinking and the voice Orinon spoke through him.
"I couldn't think of a puzzle for the temples anyway so let's just smash through beat up a boss get the piece of the spell, lather rinse repeat."
the heroes cheered for no bullshitistic puzzles.

"Good, I'm up for that." Jack said as he stepped onto the island. He stepped forward and assumed his pose of asskicking. "Time to go renovating. Step one, remove annoying temple with overwhelming firepower! FIREDOKEN!!!"

The giant blast of fire shattered the temple, creating a huge explosion and levelling it. But, out of the ashes rose a giant bird of flames, beautiful in its fierceness. Jack looked at it, and sighed. "Damn it, why is it always a Phoneix? Zero, Tomoya, you guys are up. Use your wind and water powers to defeat it, the rest of our powers won't harm it!"

Tomoya looked at the phoniex in amazement, then Tomoya looked towards the team and spoke "Well, number one, I dont control wind powers, if anyone didnt lisen to me the first five times, I got the light stone and got the powers of a lightning angel, number two, Zero's water powers will proberley work against that thing and I dont know about lightning and electricty, number three, electricity and water dont mix, and when I got stranded I hit the water and it hurt like hell, number four, didnt Farrago or someone else got wind powers!", everyone could clearly see that electricity was surrounding Tomoya in rage but disappeared after he said the last word.

Their was a long pause after Tomoya's speech, Jack cleared his throat and spoke "Well Im sure you can still provide back up, just dont hit the water" Tomoya clearly saw the fire within his eyes just like he saw the blue aura of electricity within Tomoya's eyes, Tomoya lets out a huge sigh "Fine, I was going to sleep but I dont mind doing this so we can get back home"

Tomoya then burst out his wings of electricity and starts to hover above the ship waiting, "Anyone else want to come?" Tomoya smiled.

@Orinon: Are you still mad at me? Because I'm really, really sorry I screwed up so bad. Not sure if anyone remembers, but I had a problem with really late edits before, and I kinda ran away after that...Same sorta knee-jerk reaction, except this time I still had a plot thread going. *sigh* Sorry.

@Everyone: In case nobody's noticed, I changed my avatar yet again. I'll leave the new guy out of it until this is over, though. Once Scott and Youmu are out of my hair, he'll be ready to start going with you guys. And I'm planning for him to start with the evil team. (Scott might come back later if we don't find Ramona as well, but I'm permanently retiring Youmu.)

Let's do this.

Zero charged forward, firing an intense stream of water out of his Buster. The phoenix seemed maddened by the attack, but otherwise nothing seemed to happen. Why didn't I think of that? he thought. You can't kill a phoenix with just water! Summoning a waterfall didn't work so well either, with the bird quickly revalitising the flames that were doused.

"Mind being a little careful there?!" Tomoya yelled. "You nearly hit me with that thing!"

"I'm trying to! It's just that I can't get a clear shot!" Zero yelled back.

Back on the ship, Ryan had been trying to move it to where he could get a shot as well. "Now all I have to do is--" Suddenly, the ship was rocked violently, and a lot of warning lights flashed up. Ryan swore loudly.

"What's going on in here?" Scott asked, rushing in.

"I can't move the ship to where I can shoot it with my big gun. We'll have to use the manual turrets," he explained. "You take one and I'll get the other. Shouldn't be too hard to use, right?"

"Just like in Star Wars, huh?" the Canadian replied. Then he ran off the bridge. "Let's rock!"

I'm not that mad, also we're kinda trying to find Youmu, she'll be in the second or third temple.

Ryan readied the guns and then remembered
"Oh right I'm saving my energy for the final boss."
as such he suggested to Farrago that she attack the phoenix Ryan then moved to the bit of the temple that contained the first bit of the spell. As the battle raged on Ryan used his sword to clear his path.
Soon he found the Parchment, it was readable even though Ryan had never seen this type of script before.

Well, Scott's original motivation was to find Ramona, who's also ended up in limbo. In fact, in his intro post, I dropped a pretty obvious hint that the two of them would probably be together. They may have split up by now, though.

The phoenix was still fighting just as hard as before, despite the onslaught from Zero, Tomoya, Scott's turret and now Farrago. Zero's attempts to co-ordinate their attacks had been thrown off by the bird's ability to cut off radio communications, leaving him to shout out orders (or rather, suggestions) to the others and Scott completely in the dark.

Trying to concentrate, he closed his eyes and let intuition take over for the aiming, but Farrago had gotten between him and his target, so he sighed angrily at not being able to do anything and spun around to try and get a better shot.

"It sounds like a good plan. Although if they have any explosives, you are going to lose a lot of health," said Justin regarding the plan Ken cooked up. "Well if they do I doubt more than 10% of them will actually have some kind of explosive as a weapon," Ken remarked.

"Fine, if you're so eager to die then go ahead. Just remember that its your own fault if you get killed," Justin said to him in a threatening tone. "I'll be sure to remember to that. For now lets just get this over with so we can get some loot," Ken said to him nonchalantly. With that he started to sneak around to the other side of the raider camp. While sneaking around, he began to think about what Justin said. He had to admit that getting hit with explosives would be bad. He was immune to heat but the blast could still do some damage. That was one of the reasons that he made himself the center of the nuclear blasts that he could create.

Once he reached the other side of the camp, he ducked inside the nearby ruins of some house. He peeked outside and saw that there were about 15 raiders in the camp. He was gonna have to make he ducked behind cover once in a while to make sure he didn't die horribly. Being as ready as he'll ever be, Ken started his attack on the raider camp.

Ryan was seeing there was a lack of co-ordination.
He knew the only way the heroes could kill the phoenix was through a coordinated attack.
Ryan returned to see Tomoya nearly hit Farrago.
"HEROES" he bellowed over the sound of the guns.
"IF YOU WANT TO BEAT THAT GIANT BIRD, YOU NEED TO WORK TOGETHER."
The others were looking at Ryan
"Let me show you how to fight like a pro."
Ryan's spark phased out of his chest,the spark was a turmoil of light and electricity. Tendrils of lightning hit each of the heroes hearts. once Ryan's spark reentered his body they could hear each others thoughts, it was like a com link that you didn't have to speak with you just thought it and they could hear, conversations took millisecond. Of course you didn't hear all their thoughts just what they wanted you to hear but no one could lie.
"Now heroes." Thought Ryan
"You all have great stones of the elements.
Farrago use the earth stone to Shroud the bird in a desert storm.
Zero create a massive blast of water to put out that fire.
Tomoya let Zeros water carry you electricity up to the bird.
Scott whip up a whirlwind, like a tornado around that phoenix It won't escape then.

Now make sure to name this attack. if you have troubles I'll help."

Oops should have said this earlier.
1: Ryan's spark is is soul but he was a robot so he has something called a spark. 2: during my time writing this I assumed Youmu had managed to pass the Air stone to scott.

"Idiot!" Scott yelled, finally getting his radio connection back. "I don't have any wind-based powers! All I can do is beat the sh** out of stuff with my fists, and that doesn't seem like such a good idea in this case! Besides, I haven't liked Sonic Underground since I was 12!"

 

[Orinon]

Shouting at Ryan got the phoenix's attention which blasted a fireball scorching him.
Ryan face palmed at this, he would have to fill in for Scoot. He lit his Storm ring and opened the box weaponA black serpent that had Red Flames near his fangs. It was about 25 feet long and thick as a sewer pipe.
Ryan jumped on Typhos's back
The serpent then flew up to the Phoenix then flew past it up to a nearby cloud The storm flames from Typhos transferred to Ryan's Blade.
Ryan then used his rocket boots to fly off Typhos's back. The two Then began altering the cloud, it began to stick to Typhos's Storm scales. once complete Typhos then charged at the phoenix wrapping around the Phoenix.
Typhos then shed the cloud skin, upon leaving Typhos lit the cloud with it's storm flames. The Phoenix was now suffering as the flames were disintegrating it.
Ryan then appeared out of the sky He sliced at the Phoenix's crest which had the added effect of making the storm flames stay as a serpentine cage.
"Cloud Serpents coils"
The Phoenix cried in pain
"Now that It's trapped use that attack I described. And I will punish you if you don't name the attack." Ryan told them Via Soul link.(That thing he made in his last post.)

OK The new blood should be able to beat the weakened and trapped Phoenix it's injure but no where being dead. so just use a combined attack like I Described earlier and bam, we got some coming of age stuff. By that I mean they'll hit a milestone learning how to fight Together as a team.

There's a few things I feel like I need to tell/ask you.

One, Scott is still manning the turret, meaning that if the fireball was enough to burn him through the airship, it will have taken a lot of damage as well.

Two, I think you just tried to shut me up for not going along with your planned mini-arc.

Three...like I said through Scott, not everyone likes motivational, teamwork-makes-the-world-go-round, Captain Planet kind of bull. Case in point: uh, me.

Four, your sealing the phoenix was kind of fast...

Five, did Scott somehow find the Wind Stone while I was gone, separate from Youmu, whom I believe it's bonded to?

Falling out of the destroyed turret, Scott tried to make sense of what Ryan had been saying through the pain of his burn. Naming attacks? Wind powers I don't even have? Making sure a phoenix can't escape, even though he was making sure of that himself? This guy is insane! He crawled in the general direction of where he thought the medical ward was, hoping to find something for the burn.

"Jack! Help us!" Farrago shouted as she, Zero and Tomoya all struggled to avoid hitting each other with their attacks. Jack took in the situation, and sighed. Ryan was hovering above the Phoenix holding it in a weakened state as Farrago, Zero and Tomoya formed a rough triangle around it. Jack drew his hands infront of himself and began a complex series of movements.

"As the valley of Water burns, the Light shines above the clouds, the Earth burns in clear daylight! A triangle forms from the ashes of bones long rusted away! All that is Holy and more that is Unholy, combine to begin the Cycle anew! Let the Three Pillars of Water, Light and Earth burn brightly!" Jack intoned.

"Triple Pillar of Flames, IGNITE!" he shouted as he slammed his burning sword into the ground. From the sword, three lines of fire spread to the three battling heroes. Three Pillars of white flame burst out of the ground below Tomoya, Zero and Farrago, leaving each hero standing on a pillar at eye height with the Phoenix. They each felt Jack's power flowing through them, uniting them as one force, his wrath driving them forwards.

"FOR EARTH!" Farrago shouted as she attacked.
"FOR WATER!" Zero shouted as he attacked.
"FOR LIGHT!" Tomoya shouted as he attacked.
Ryan's Storm Serpent released the Phoenix as the three attacks hit it dead on, and it shrieked as it glowed white then exploded with an huge force, sending a mushroom cloud of dust everywhere. As the dust settled each of Jack's pillars disappeared and the three heroes stood in a perfect triangle around the dead body of the Phoenix.

Ryan descended from above and happily looked at everyone. "Well, I got the thingy we needed from here while you guys were sucking at defeating the Phoenix. So now, everybody back on the ship, and we'll head for the next island!"

As everybody shuffled back onto the ship, Jack held back. He quickly walked over to the dead Phoenix and placed his hand on its head, sending a small flame onto it. "Back to the ashes you go. May you rest, In quiet slumber." he said as the body began to burn. As Jack boarded the ship he could see a small egg sitting in the middle of the pile of ashes that was once the great Phoenix. He smiled softly to himself as they sped off to the next island, Who's Name I Forget.

The Forested Island Of Farore was their next destination and the wind was blowing in that direction even thou it was in a northeast direction while Dinn's island was in the west.
Ryan was in a good mood smiling as he looked at the heroes who had just done something very dramatic just like old times.

"Good work, We defeated the first boss, two more than the final boss. then we can all go home. I have a feeling we'll see Youmu on the second Island then we can gt her out of this nightmare I have a feeling she won't mind if she has to give up the stone. it hasn't brought her much power."

"Wasn't the stone destroyed when Jack fought that thing?" Farrago asked, confused. "I don't think she'd still have it..."

"It doesn't matter. We save the girl, we get out, we go beat up some villains," Ryan replied. "What's not to like about this plan?"

Jack pointed out a window with his scythe and said, "That." 'That' was a veritable horde of fanboys of various types, all having a brawl with one another. "If we intend to reach what we want inside the temple, we'll have to get rid of the fanboys first." He headed for the hangar, intending to sneak down to the island and wait for the brawl to end.

Meanwhile, down in the medical bay, Scott had finished with a strange spray bottle whose contents had somehow cleared the burn right up. That was when he saw Jack walk past. Running to keep up, he asked Jack where he was headed and if he could come as well.

Jack just chuckled. "Already wanting to prove your worth after what happened with the phoenix?" They reached the hangar, and Scott figured out what he meant, mouth hanging open at the mob down below.

"Want these guys cleared out of the way, huh?" he said. "I'll handle it for ya. Mobs are my specialty, after all." With that, he pulled a bag of chips out of his pocket and started eating them. I'll need an extra boost for this, he thought as he crunched.

Ryan scratched his head in confusion.
"What the hell what are Fan-boys doing here, Fan-boys are Justin's Minions. and he's having an adventure over in DC. what's more before we crashed we were in the Atlantic. we are nowhere near Justin, I know because I wanted to avoid the villains at all costs.
Meanwhile at the Fan-boys
"Are you sure this is the way To DC, I don't remember a purple sea being in the directions or the sky turning green."
"I'm telling you it's a shortcut maybe your head is fried during that Nap you took."
"I was resting my Eyes besides you were driving."
"Well I didn't think you'd notice, you were both asleep. anyway According to the map we're almost there."
the second fan-boy then noticed the map.
"Hang on a second, Your reading it upside down."
a third fan-boy noticed something else.
"Wait a moment your reading the wrong side."
the Fan-boys began arguing so didn't notice Scott pilgrim approaching.

Scott still had his empty bag of chips. That was all part of the plan.

As he walked up to the fanboys arguing over the map, he noticed that two of them (the two facing towards him) were wearing Scott Pilgrim T-shirts. That'll come in handy, he thought. If the third guy attacks me, they'll go for him and I'll be able to leave in the confusion if I don't make it out the first time... He tapped the first fanboy on the shoulder. "Want some chips?" he asked.

The fanboy grabbed the packet without saying anything. The others didn't look up from the map. Scott started walking away, but then the fanboy spoke. "Hey, this bag of chips is empty! You hog!" He charged towards Scott as the others looked up. "I'll smash your--"

The other two fanboys grabbed him. "Hey, don't go beating up on my homeboy Scott!" one shouted. "No, he's my homeboy!" yelled the other. Scott didn't hang around to watch them bicker and fight, as much as he wanted to. He had bigger concerns than that...

...including getting to see the much larger fight nearby from atop a conveniently placed cliff overlooking the temple.

 

[XIII's Number XIV]

Zero didn't really speak to anyone after they boarded the ship. He was tired, and needed some time to himself before they moved on to the next battle. Waving tiredly at his comrades, he headed to his room, where another mysterious E-Tank was waiting for him. Downing that, he flopped onto his bed and plugged himself in, dozing off to the sounds of the water the stone's power had allowed him to hear.

...Zero...

"Buh!" Zero awoke to find...the same room. Only weird. It was off-colored, a strange mix of sepia and red, and Zero couldn't hear anything. He looked around the room for a second, finding nothing at first but a shadow...wait, a shadow? He backtracked to that spot, where a familiar figure was standing in front of his mirror.

Zero's eyes narrowed. He knew who this was. "What do YOU want? Come here to mess with my head again?" he growled at the moustached stranger.

The figure chuckled. "Is that any way to treat your creator? Asking if I'm going to 'mess with your head'...no, I'm only here as a messenger, my opus. And I'm here to tell you that you aren't using yourself - or that new power of yours - at full potential."

"Yeah right. Last time you said that, I turned Maverick, and I almost killed everyone I knew and loved."

"Ah, but see, maybe turning Maverick isn't such a bad thing after all. Let me ask you this, Zero. Do you have a free will?"

"I wha-...yeah, of course I do."

"And are you bound by those worthless Laws of Robotics they installed in you after your...well, for lack of a better term, Disney Death?"

"Yes."

"Think, robot! You answered me by instinct. I'll ask you this once again; Are you bound by the Laws of Robotics, or are you of free will?"

Zero paused. What was he trying to get at? "...I..."

"If you are of free will, then you shouldn't have a problem with harming humans. Even the ones on your so-called 'team'. If you are still bound by those stupid rules, then you have, are and will be going against yourself and the Laws, therefore labeling you, a Maverick. Even in this world..."

"No!" countless calculations flashed by in Zero's electronic brain. The red 'bot gripped his head as the conflicting ones made tiny yet powerful sparks in his head go off. His ears sizzled. He turned and twisted in his bed, trying to make the sparks go away. Meanwhile, the silhouette watched his creation writhe with interest. He continued his statement after the sparks had died down and Zero had gained control of his head again, heavily breathing when he had done so.

"Listen to me boy, robot, Hunter. Whatever you consider yourself nowadays." he spat out 'Hunter' like it was acid, "No matter where you go, remember you are still my creation. I did not build you for these shenanigans you call 'heroics', I built you for what I built every other robot of mine to do. Destruction! Murder! Annihilation! Do not fight your true nature, my son, or it will come back again and again to haunt you, just like me!" a mad cackle emanated from the shadow and the walls around Zero, who drove his head into his pillow to try and block it out. Then it dissipated, and so did the world around him, sending him falling back into consciousness.

"GAAHH!" Zero sat up lightning fast, breathing like he ran across the world. He held his head for a few minutes to try and get rid of the horrid remnants of the dream, then sat up with a new resolve. He needed to take care of something. Heading outside, he found Ryan at the controls.

"Ryan." Zero turned to the man in question, who looked up from his business..

"What do you want, Youngling? And why do you look so pale?"

"Dream. Crazy dream. Look..." he began, "I'm really sorry for the 'tude back there. I was still pretty worked up from the stuff that's happened the past few days..." he held a hand out to Ryan. "No hard feelings, right?"

Tomoya clicked his tongue when his went passed Ryan "Tch!" feeling insulted, as Tomoya entered his room he noticed that nothing was real, "(Im starting to get confused with this dream or not dream world shit, and Ryan is seriously starting to piss me off!)" Tomoya spoke to himself in Japanese. Tomoya then decided to just lay down on his bed while juggling balls of electricity in his palm waiting for the next wonderful event to happen and mabey finding what has happend.

While Tomoya slept from lack of sleep he dreamt about his beloved Nagisa and dreamt that he returned to her and then she dissappeared "AH!" Tomoya screamed then woke up, Tomoya stared at his watch to see only ten minutes went by "(I guess I cant sleep well in this so called dream world)", Tomoya then went to the big space of his room and started working on his powers to improve on them so anyone else could insult him again.
