Caim's nerves buzzed with anticipation of the coming battle. With his hand tight upon the dragon's neck, he asked,
"So dragon. You ready?"
"I am always ready Caim. Now, former general of the Union, what is our planned course of action?"
"We find the weakest vehicles and crush them into nothing with your fire."
The dragon shook her head in a chuckle,"Of course, I shouldn't have asked. But it will be doable. Now, what about Dillon? We do plan to keep that deal, correct?"
"Of course. But once the finals come in and we're the only two left... I can't say we can protect him then. I can't believe you were able to pull me into that."
"Caim, as much as I have shared war with you, don't you think I would have known basic tactics, such as garnering allies? For now, let's enjoy the fun while it lasts."
A familiar smile ghosted upon Caim's face for a moment,
"That won't be an issue."
The dragon's eyes coasted the city. "Now, who will be fun to tear into..."
Caim silently laughed, "I'm liking the way you're thinking dragon."
"All is fair in love and war, isn't that how the human saying goes?"
"It is, dragon. Oh, yes it is..."
In their reverie together, Caim and 'Red' did not notice what Puce had done. But in later time, the dragon would realize that marks would be missing where she thought they belonged; and mark it up to her vitality, unless an energy melder (Puce) told her otherwise...
