I'm not sure if that's information I should really be releasing on an escapist thread about badges, if you get another wave of posters saying nothing but "lol, I agree" then I apologise, entirely my fault.
Also, it might be that over here threads will often get locked long before they reach that number of views. Mods on Warcry (if you have more than one, I've only ever seen Guitar) are way more laid back (or are allowed to be way more laid back). Often times I've seen a thread locked over here seemingly because it was too popular.
Or maybe the whole "larger number of posters" thing works against us too much, you can make a thread here and have it on the 2nd page of the forum before it even gets any replies, even large threads (by our standards) can easily be lost forever in a wave of new ones, no matter how thought invoking or entertaining they were. Whereas Warcry has maybe five to six active threads on it's off-topic forum at the very most.
I'll stop trying to analyse the way forums work now.
So, slightly more on-topic.
I generally dislike the idea behind badges, but I don't hate these new genrewars things.
I wouldn't wear them, but I don't hate them.

Join IRC if you want, but don't just do it to harass people who may or may not know how to get a badge that has nothing to so with IRC in the first place.
Spam PM's at someone who has it asking how, that way you're only harassing one person.
