We're getting very close to 1000 now...
Why yes we are, should we add in the mystery badge, or figure it out first?
Nivag's said in the past that he won't add a badge to the gallery until we're certain what it's achieved for. The only exceptions to this are Russ Pitts'
Columnist badge and the
OMG Pony!!1 badge, which we just say are awarded by and for the staff at their own pleasure, because they are. All other badges it's preferred if we can find out how to get them before putting them in the badge gallery.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I'm just intrigued...
It's moments like this why it's good we have a gallery and a user-group. In the gallery we're just tour guides but in the user group we're more like... detectives... or even paparazzi guys. I dunno where we would be today if user-groups hadn't been introduced. It's really boosted our goals. Anyways, there are more reasons. As the gallery is for presenting badges, we don't want people to turn up, see an awesome looking badge and then have absolutely no idea what it's about or how to get it. It's good to think of each badge like a painting. You don't present have painted works of art, do you. Adding a badge without a description is exactly the same. Of course, half way through typing this I did get bored and start talking utter crap. Was fun though.
I thought that's what long posts are for; Getting carried away half way through, and going off on a tangent.
I'd try using paragraph breaks, it looks less cluttered, and it makes it easier to read, just don't get carried away with it, you mostly need to have at least 1 and a bit lines on one side of it before you do, otherwise you look very very silly, and people might not take you seriously.
See that?
That was just off the top of my head, and not related to anything.
OT: You have a point there, and I agree not just because of that, but also because it makes me feel super cool, and sort of like batman, or Rorschach, but without the crazy street person bit.
[sub]Oh, and to shut up my inner grammar nazi, it's half painted works of art, not have[/sub]
