I can play guitar and do death metal vocals.

I think considering the instruments and musical tastes of most escapists we should do some sort of symphonic metal.

Whoever is organizing it should have some sort of midi program to script out the whole thing and assign each person their own part.

Damn, when I get the chance, I should post some guitar videos. I could sing along too I guess, but I have a horrible voice. Anyway, I'll probably play Hero of War and some Green Day junk...

Wait. I saw a tab for the Pokemon theme song today... I have to learn that.

Inverse, I'm more than happy to hear anything you can add to this with your piano, If it sounds good, I'll try and incorporate it.
Do you have a click track or sheet music for piano?

I'll join that band thing you have set up. Just send me the info and I'll learn the song.

Also Neonbob, I'm working on Colony by In Flames. It's taking a while but I've got almost all of it down except for the clean verses and the crazy solo so I just might play the rhythm part during the solo because there is no way I can pull that off.

No problem, consider yourself added to the list. If you want to play something specific, suggest it and see if others might like to do so, or talk to ravens_nest about it, he's coming up with a lot of the click tapes and such that we'll need to keep people in time.

Well I think an awesome song to play would be Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter. So... I'll see what kind of reaction that song gets. It needs a pretty good bass player though.

There's something wrong with the bbcode for BattleOnion's stuff. Everytime I add it in, it messes up the OP and makes it so I can't access any lower than BattleOnions stuff, which just has the word 'report' in a non-clickable spoiler box. It's really weird.

Yup, sounds good! Pitch the idea to Raven and see if anyone else is interested and you should be right to do something like that!

I tried quoting you and posting it, but apparently that last addition pushed the OP over the boundaries. I'm getting a Comment too large error.
Even when I snipped you and Nivag's contributions, it was fussing at me.
I'll try to get in contact with one of the tech team.

Alright, I deleted the gigantic wall of text to keep space down.
Sorry for the double post, everyone, but I think I got the problem figured out now.

Hey,

I'd be up for giving that a bash on the bass. PM me if you get anymore offers, email me the track as I don't own it and i'll make you a click track for it...

Also if your interested, my pink floyd cover (see last page) also needs some more guitars and vocals so holla at me with your email address if your interested an i'll fire the guide track your way.

Heya, I've found this [http://www.forpiano.com/FILEX/A/9d0v8s8v0a/pink_floyd--another_brick_in_the_wall.pdf] piano sheet music for Another Brick in the Wall, should I play it softly or loudly? I'm guessing softly because you'd want the guitars to stand out more. This might take me a week or so to learn though...

It's a jam session man, play it how you feel it. I'll worry about the volume and what not, just make sure the recording is as high quality as you can muster...

I recommend starting softly and playing harder as the song progresses, putting emphasis on beats 2 and 4. Try and get in the groove of the song and you'll do fine.

I'm thinking that I might play up until the solo part, then step back and let the guitars take over. That way the thing I'll be playing will be relatively simple so I want be learning it for ages and I can make it sound better heaps quicker.

Actually i'll need you to play the root chords during the solo, once per chord change. This'll help keep the song intact whilst the guitars to their thang...

It's quite a simple song, i'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Besides if something's not working, I can edit out that particular part. So you can do as much as you like, maybe even improvise a little... So long as you're playing along to the music (on your headphones) I can use your parts anywhere...

I had a bit of a muck around on the piano just then and the opening seems very simple (although I think some of the cords on the right hand should be in stoccato form, they're very quick) so I should be able to get the hang of it alright. I'll see what I can do with the solo, it's the sort of thing that give me a while and I'll be able to play it fine but we're on a slight time limit here! I'll probably have a decent crack at it on sunday, so I'll let you know what is happening then.

Hooray! I finally got my violin today!

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2839565&l=f83890f12f&id=608038441 if anyone is interested.

Now just to learn how to play the stupid thing. Does anyone have any tips when it comes to finger positions or anything like that? I could use a good tutorial.

Yeah, I've noticed that if you put four fingers down on the A string you get an E-flat, yet if you move your fourth finger slightly back towards the end you get a D, so with a few finger charts it hasn't been that hard to figure out which is good. I have the same problem a lot of guitarists have when they start out, I don't hold the strings down hard enough yet which distorts the sound, but that comes with practice.
