The sale also puts FEAR 2 at $28 if an FPS is more to your liking. I've never played it, so I can't really say whether that's good value though.
It'd be great to have a few more games with other people in the groups, or perhaps a more formal tournament. However, I can't really organize anything, as I'm going to be pretty busy for the next few months.
Oh yeah, I have Far Cry 2 as well. I'll join the steam group tomorrow, and can easily create a logo if you want (with a nifty translucent escapist E and everything!).

Edit: We really need to get our stuff together and actually plan a TF2 extravaganza instead of us all just not going.

It's also a flaw with the way we conduct the extravaganzas, we don't set a time due to time zones being all around the world, so we just set a day. Of course, most people can't be bothered to wait for more than half an hour or so seeding the server so that it shows up on the browser and they can get a game going, and so they leave, and then a few minutes later someone pops in to try and seed it, sees that no-one's there, and leaves again.
Hell, there's nothing stopping someone else from announcing one and I'll link it and help out with it if I can. I'm not the only server admin.
I think what we need is a concerted effort to push The Escapist's TF2 server up the lists. Say all the Escapist TF2 players always try to get a game going on our server if they can rather than going elsewhere?
I reckon the next one will work, though. We missed Easter, so what's the next public holiday?
Maybe one at the beginning of the Summer Holidays? There must be some obscure holiday somewhere!
