The Fable II Contest You NEED To Enter!

What's better than the chance to win a copy of Fable II, an Xbox 360 Elite and a Samsung 37" 1080p HDTV? Two chances!

Here's The Deal

Entering our Fable II contest is simple: just fill out your information and you're automatically entered into a random drawing for the prize pack. In addition to providing your vital stats (name, address, ice cream preference, that sort of thing), you'll also be asked to choose your alignment: good, neutral or evil. The skin on our site will change to reflect your choice of alignment. Here's the twist -- the winner will be chosen from the alignment with the FEWEST votes.

So that's one chance to win some pretty sweet prizes, but we promised you two. Play the Fable game in your profile [/profiles/view] at least five times (you can play once per day between now and October 24th), and you'll automatically be entered in the drawing for a second time but ONLY if you've already entered the contest. Here's the catch - your second entry will be under the faction that you end up in as a result of your game choices!

That's two chances to nab some killer prizes, so SIGN UP NOW [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/contests/register/fable2_alignment]!

NOTE: This is for USA residents only and you must be 18 years or older to participate. Sorry, but that's what the lawyers required.

Entered, checked the little box that said "good". That should separate me from all the unwashed, soulless masses...

Just my two cents, but provided nobody thinks too deeply about it, neutral will always get the least votes on a "true" personality test. Honestly, how many people actually played more neutral characters than good or evil characters in Fable, KOTOR, or any other game with an allignment system?

That bit about "chosen from among the least" makes the game a variation on the Prisoner's Dilemma and really forces someone to think "should I game the system and try to guess which will have the least or just answer honestly because everyone else gaming the system will cancel each other out and make it a game of chance?"

Anyway, I chose Neutral because it reflects me fairly well---I always score some variation of Chaotic Neutral or True Neutral on D&D-style alignment tests.

I love how incredibly difficult it must be to extend states contests to Canada. Like changing one line in the terms. "Valid in U.S. AND CANADA except for Quebec."

Fail :(

Plus+ People gaming the system will vote neutral or evil, people actually voting for how they play will cancel each other out. So vote good ;)

US residents only? Why? Isn't like 60 % of the readers NOT from the US?
And it's not like the Escapist can't afford the shipping fee.
This is rubbish. You're letting us down Escapist.

Can non-Americans still do the quiz thingie but not be entered to get the prize? That's be cool. Also, with all this money the Escapist has now, maybe next time we could have the contest in the top three Escapist countries? Or something?

Oh, and people, it's because of all the legal stuff, to have it in other countries, you need more lawyers.

A) No, >50% are from the US
B) There are a lot of very complicated rules about contests in every country of the world. We are purchasing and sending out the prizes for this one, and with a relatively high dollar value attached to them we can't afford to be caught by them. Our lawyers say US only.

It's not a matter of shipping, or even tariffs. Blame the politicians.

If the entry has a US mailing address, we will send it to them. That is how we determine 'residency' for contests.
