I really hated that, after about the first wave of bad guys in the station, I hated it with every fibre of my body.
Is it even out yet?

Mercenaries on PS2. I got as far as the overturned jeep on the first mission (about 3 minutes in?) and realised that I would be wasting my time to go any further with this game.

Not sure if I quit Resistance faster or not, but it would have been close.

May be a bit of a controversial pick, but Killzone 2.

Well, I watched through the opening, the cutscene, and then played to the place where you go out of the ship, go further a bit, then turn left, and then there are a lot of Helghast far from you, and a lot of places you can cover to.

I played that game for about 15 minutes, tops, and I didn't even touch the multi-player.

I just didn't like it.

I bought Damnation for £5 in a pre-christmas sale a week ago. I thought "Heck, it can't be THAT bad, and it's only £5."

I slammed it in the disc tray, shot like three guys, pulled the disc out and literally melted it without uttering a word.

That game scarred me for life, and I needed to make sure nobody got their hands on it again. I know you guys would've done the same.

About 15 seconds in to I Want To Be The Guy.

"Huh. Okay: No."
then it did its job.
Depends on how you define I Want To Be The Guy's job.

If you define it as "being a flash game whose purpose is to be deliberately as ball-breakingly annoyingly hard as possible" then yes.

If you define it as "being a flash game that is a well-balanced and entertaining way to spend an afternoon" then no.

I don't exactly "hate" games. I simply start swearing at them and stop playing for some time 'till I fell like getting my ass kicked again. Which is good, I guess, I can't just go around beating every single game I buy without so much as a single death. My official ass kickers as of late are The Last Remnant and Fallout 3. Especially The Last Remnant. God, things have such a way of turning out badly in that game.

Peter Jacksons King Kong (yes I know, but I was young and clueless), after 10 minutes of playing I gave up trying to get any enjoyment out of it, and sold it to a friend!

I saw the trailer for Velvet assassin and thought "this game looks ok" but I made the rookie mistake of not reading reviews before I got the game, now it just lays there under my bed collecting dust

Agreed. I can't stand ANY JRPGs; let's sit back and "play" a slightly interactive "game" for 50+ hours and have huge boss "fights" with monsters that have 9 million HP and steal a minimum of 3 hours of your life (if you're lucky...). Give me a WRPG and I'll run around making my own choices and ignore as much story as I want.
And yes, my opinion includes the FF games.

I played Bayonetta for about 30 seconds then switched it off. Shame really, I had been expecting something halfway decent.

Eve of Evolution. Got past the first big fight and realized how broken the combat and collision systems were. Impossible to play. and quick time events that were just horrid.

Two minutes with Killzone was all I needed. That game was some pretty graphics wrapped around an unforgivable amount of bugs.
