I think it's fatal flaw is that it completely ignores the KoTOR series, KoTOR 2 especially. It's most glaringly obvious in the trailer when it talks about how Revan met the Sith Empire in the outer regions. Anyone who's played KoTOR 2 will know that that's bullshit because when you talk to Kreia about Revan, she says that Revan 'met no Sith Empire yet learned their teachings'. I just refuse to accept this one as canon, the same way I find that Star Trek Online's "plot" is just a contrived excuse to have you killing every red blip on sensors, no questions asked.
It takes place hundreds of years after KoTOR, and no one really knows what happened when Revan and Malak disappeared...at least to my knowledge...other than the fact he came back as a sith with a large sith fleet.

Not true. I'm going to be playing with a gaming clan I'm already part of (Angels of Death @ clanaod.net), and of the people I've talked to, it seems like there are more people wanting to play Trooper, Smuggler, or Bounty Hunter than Sith (we'll be going Empire alignment, most likely, unless the beta reveals that the numbers favor Empire too heavily).
Yes, I myself am planning on playing a SInq or SWar, but those are just main characters. I fully intend to also play a bh and trooper.

Side note: if you're interested in joining up with us, feel free to stop by our site and check us out, we'd love to have you. Only thing is that TOR isn't a full division of teh clan yet, so you'll have to play something else with us in the mean time :p

Seriously? Absolutely not. Screw the Sith: they're evil weaklings that take the easy way out, go with easy power instead of doing the training and practice that allows for the true potential of the Force to be unlocked. I'm going Jedi all the way (assuming one of the non-Force-using doesn't catch my eye more), and I know plenty of other people will too.

Plenty of people like the Republic. Where else can you play as a surrogate stormtrooper, or imitation Han Solo.

im going to be republic because in cannon the good guys always win
I think you mean 'canon'. Besides, what about episodes III and V? Also, winning doesn't really apply to a persistent world MMOG, does it?
you just have to poking holes in everything dont you? lol i mean that in the sense that i will be playing tor mainly for the story. and in the over encompassing star wars saga the light side of the force prevails

Yeah, don't really agree with the OP, but I do enjoy being evil more than good in video games, though that might be because it is a good way for me to vent any anger or stress, and frankly, a lot of the stuff Bioware lets you do when it comes to being evil, is fun, not to mention funny.

Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Bounty Hunters are Sith, just saying.

Is bounty hunter a good guy or neutral or what? Should be neutral. Work for whoever pays the most.

I might choose bounty hunter...
Well, Bounty Hunters tend to be self affiliated, so though neutrality defines them, a bounty hunter can be whatever they wish. A "good" bounty hunter would be one who goes after the evil bounties, a bad bounty hunter is the greedy murderious type. A neutral one is just doing their job.

I thought to myself a few months back i'd like to play the bounty hunter class and then the other day i quit WoW forever for probably the same reason i will turn my back on TOR mainly because i'm constantly pouring money into an MMO, secondly i know i will be wasting countless hours toiling away for x ammount of y and i know they will still have that same system in this MMO.

Pretty much every MMO has that same mechanic, its what drives you into the trance of doing it over and over.

And i had a very important reason to quit WoW and roughly stop playing pc based MMO's for a good long while.

You can keep your Sith, I'm going Jedi all the way!!! XD
(yes, I know, I'm a total goody-two-shoes, but that suits me just fine, thank you very much!)

Considering the post I quoted was saying that people want to be the good guy and be a bounty hunter, it's a safe assumption that he was referring to bounty hunters being on the Republic. Since that isn't true, and the bounty hunters are actually sided with the "Sith Empire", it is a logical conclusion to call them Sith.

Wait what? Since I cant play the game, I have not followed much about it. If Bounty Hunters are Sith, then thats just stupid. Are they copying WoW THAT much? Lame. DnD is a better way to go. A bounty Hunter can help whoever the hell they want.

Not sure if someone already quoted you and said this since there are 6 pages of posts I have to read through.

Bounty Hunters are on the Sith Side but they are not SITH. By Sith I mean dark side force users.

Personally I think I am going to Roll a Jedi then a bounty hunter before I go for a Sith.

You can't really assume that. I avoid MMORPGs [and Start Wars, for that matter] like the plague, but I'm pretty sure Bioware has found a way to make all the classes appealing.

I know that if the game was single-player [and possibly not Star Wars..hell, lets use Mass Effect as an example here], I'd have a hard time choosing my character's class.

From what I've read about the game, all the classes seem fairly awesome. And not everybody likes the Sith.

Well, i'll be republic because being a Sith makes no sense to me. "Hey Johnny, do you wanna be powerful? Great! Now sign up to have a complete 180 personality change to be a gigantic jerk to everyone, become physically repulsive as you progress, and train an apprentice to kill you!"
