I'm going to enjoy destroying mic-spamming twelve year olds who think they are "the shit" for playing as a Sith.
This is true.Miumaru said:Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Ah, well I'm on the EU Patriot server and it seems pretty even. I mean, yes, we get LTL weapons. (Stun Grenades, my weapon of choice) But Enforcers rarely respond to backup, so in heated battles, you have to really duke it out to come out tops.gPandalink said:In actual fact, there are more enforcers due to the imbalance of the factions at the moment.RobCoxxy said:People moaned about APB. "Everyone will be criminals" it's roughly 50/50. It works.
So if the Republic were actually given gameplay advantages (as silly as that would be), more people would play them, as happened in APB.
As for the simple good guy/bad guy thing.. yea, it is pretty even.
It's because the enforcers get overpowered combat abilities I reckon.lawnmooer said:I found out recently that the majority of people don't like being evil/bad.
E.G. In APB I thought most people would be criminals and when I start playing it more people are playing enforcer.
Also after a while people will start thinking "Now why am I being evil again?" or at least I do... so many times I choose evil over good... now I just want to be neutral... D:
I've been told everyone on Alliance are 12 year olds, we appear to have a conundrum.Elochai_IV said:This is true.Miumaru said:Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Have you ever played World of Warcraft? Everyone on the Horde team are 12 year olds, so I've been told.
personally, Im going Republic![]()
That we do.Ickorus said:I've been told everyone on Alliance are 12 year olds, we appear to have a conundrum.Elochai_IV said:This is true.Miumaru said:Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.

As an Alliance, I beg to differ. Horde usually works together quite well in battlegrounds, healing classes actually healing and being protected all the time, while when I ónce give some tactical directions I'm told to "stfu tard" or something along those lines. Goddamned Alliance...Elochai_IV said:Have you ever played World of Warcraft? Everyone on the Horde team are 12 year olds, so I've been told.

Well then it seems you're just being difficult. I've given you the evidence you've asked for, and you've still dismissed it without a second thought. All current evidence shows there will be a good balance of classes, maybe even in favor of the Light Side, but you seem to be stuck on your idea of "Dark Side's superior" to the point that you won't listen.ThePlasmatizer said:There is no math to be done, while this may be the core group of gamers a couple of thousand members is not a large enough test group to show a trend for millions, and let's say you are right and these are the very hardcore Star Wars fans, then that suggests the majority of subscriber will not be as hardcore and might have a hugely different outlook towards the classes than the core fans.
Actually I play Horde on an alliance dominated server, and I mean really alliance dominated, something silly like 3 alliance to every 1 horde.Elochai_IV said:That we do.Ickorus said:I've been told everyone on Alliance are 12 year olds, we appear to have a conundrum.Elochai_IV said:This is true.Miumaru said:Unlikely. Though, the person, or people as it were, in question all play Alliance characters, on purely Alliance dominated servers. In other words, "They lick Alliance Ballsac."
Im assuming you play Horde, on a purely Horde Dominated server.
If not, I apologize. I myself do not play the blasted game. All my friends play World of Warcraft every waking hour of there pathetic lives.
So, if you are in fact playing a purely Horde dominated server, or Alliance dominated server, then of course the only people that play the Underdog of the server are cocky twelve year olds who think they will "D0MIN@T3 TEH ODA TE4MZZZ", as majority of younger players (Im Sixteen) spell, in my company.
Therefore, It depends on many factors.
If you do not play World of Warcraft, then most of what i have just said will make no sense to you, and have no relevance.
yeah, when i played wow i chose alliance cause there were the true evil though there were always like "im so good!" i prefer to appreciate lore then make my decision based on the lore that was given to me,im gonna probably play sith seeing as i always pretend to be the good guy then backstab for my own personal gain.but yeah if you look at it in wow on my server alliance outnumber the horde at least 3:1,but everyone plays the SAME DAM CLASS! so when in a Bg or something horde wins cause they got *gasp* healers and tanks! :0 so yeah i 100% agree with you,TOR is prob gonna follow suit.sith varied while republic is gonna have the majority of their side covered in jedi knights and ONLY jedi knights...hope to see you on the dark side!Jandau said:Alliance is kinda more evil if you look at the lore. However, how large a percentage of WoW players do you think care about the lore? I'm gonna take a wild guess and go with VERY LOW. Also, you need to search the lore to find Alliance doing evil stuff, while the Forsaken and Blood Elves are doing wierd shit all over the place.Rpground said:hate to burst your bubble but to lore alliance is the true evil side...Jandau said:Yeah, because WoW has shown us that EVERYONE plays the bad guys... Oh wait...
EDITmg unintentional pun! haha
DOUBLE EDIT: now that i look at your post it tells more then it tells...hrmm good move!~
Add to this the common division of "Humans, Elves and Dwarves" = "Good" VS "Orcs, Trolls and Undead" = "Evil"
So I'm going to wager that in the mind of the average WoW player, Alliance are the good guys and the Horde are the bad guys, hence my comment. Alliance outnumbers the Horde on almost every server, sometimes as much as 2:1.
However, Warhammer Online has the bad guys in numerical superiority (or at least it had back when I played), though that's mostly due to the fact that the good guys get this guy [http://news.filefront.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/smas04.jpg] and this guy [http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/images/careers/KOBS_04.jpg] while the bad guys get to play as this [http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/media/images/newsletters/warhammer/2007/NL-Chosen001.jpg] and this [http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/images/conceptArt/ConArt0807_39.jpg].
TOR will have the same split as WoW most likely, but not in a good way. It'll be 2:1 in favour of the Republic, only they'll have nothing but Jedi, while the Sith will be spread more evenly across the 4 classes (the 2 non-force Sith classes look a lot better than the Republic ones). Also, Sith will likely obliterate the Republic in any PvP situation. Just like WoW...
TOR takes place 300 years after KotOR 2, so the Jedi could have easily replenished their numbers. And yes, the Sith in this game are the True Sith that fled to the Unknown Regions after losing the Great Hyperspace War, not Revan's Sith.Der Kommissar said:My shortcomings concerning my internet connectivity deny me from reading this whole topic, but has it come to anyone's mind that exactly how are there supposed to be massive armies of Jedi and Sith around, when in KOTOR 2 there was barely one last Jedi alive (and after the end of the game, if I remember this correctly, the Sith were having a shortage of men aswell after Sion's/Nihilus' fates? Have they introduced the True Sith to the game or why are there so many of them?Supernova2000 said:I think it's fatal flaw is that it completely ignores the KoTOR series, KoTOR 2 especially. It's most glaringly obvious in the trailer when it talks about how Revan met the Sith Empire in the outer regions. Anyone who's played KoTOR 2 will know that that's bullshit because when you talk to Kreia about Revan, she says that Revan 'met no Sith Empire yet learned their teachings'. I just refuse to accept this one as canon, the same way I find that Star Trek Online's "plot" is just a contrived excuse to have you killing every red blip on sensors, no questions asked.
