Well. It's a Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX. The best of the series, IMO. Also the most beautiful. In fact, it's the most beautiful aircraft ever made. I picked it out of sheer respect and admiration.
I obviously got a sad Dan Dreiberg as my avatar. Not sure why I went for that one, but I am glad I did. That whole scene in the movie and the comic is very sad. I like having an emotional avatar. Shows that I am not afraid to show emotions. Or some crap like that.
A member here made the rain animate, but my memory is shot to hell, so I cannot for the life of me remember who. Sorry!

I like this thread. Ok, who can guess my Avatar? Hint - look at my name and the colour of the animal.
I chose my current one because I love the Layton games, and having it Halloween'd seemed appropriate for the time, since we're in the run up to Halloween.
<- This is Upshot-Knothole Grable, the first ever artillery-fired nuclear weapon detonation, 15 kiloton yield, performed in 1953. I've been using it as my avatar everywhere for at least a few years now. Before that, I tended to use different pictures of a spaceship I'd made in DoGA L3, for a Space Empires IV shipset. Whenever you see the name "Strategia" associated with this little nuclear plume, it's me. I chose it because it seemed appropriate to what was my main forum at the time, a C&C Generals modding forum.
For the longest time I had Harima Kenji from School Rumble as my avatar, simply because he's an awesome dude.
But after a while a got a little tired of looking at the same picture so now I have Ben from Dr Katz.

I chose mine because I loved the Watchmen movie (Never read the comics though).
It's not very original as far as avatars go but it looks cool.

There is no major reason why I chose this particular image, I felt like I wanted a change and this seemed like a good choice. I did consider choosing C.C. from 'Code Geass' but I decided choosing a female character as an avatar would confuse people.
I am yet to see anyone else with the pic so it does stand out. Although it took e a few glances for me to realise it was you, for some reason I never looked at your name when you had this avatar up.wouldyoukindly99 said:

Also, in my lurking here (I'm more experienced than my join date suggests), it seemed that people with anime avatars were more relaxed and friendly, which influenced my decision somewhat.
