soul calibur 4 and spore. I'm not sure what i didn't like about soul calibur 4, i guess fighting games have just lost their luster to me. Spore was fun for like a day and then it got boring and repetitive.
No the whole picture is that they start of well and they change everything for the worst. When they make a squeal they are meant to improve mistakes not make the same old ones and new ones.Jimmyjames post=9.72096.752274 said:It's unbelievable how much people expect from games nowadays. If it isn't the second coming of Christ, people see it as a failure. It's like no ne plays games anymore just for the pure enjoyment of it. They're so busy trying to spot every single flaw that they can't step back and see the whole picture.
Hell, I guess that goes for just about everything these days. I'd like to lobby to call this generation the "JADED GENERATION". Or the "Spoiled Generation", either works fine.
No, actually I can't stand Yahtzee's reviews. He was good a year ago, but he's deteriorated into self-parody and loathing. He bitches and complains because he knows people eat it up.Nazulu post=9.72096.752322 said:Don't you watch any of Yahtzee's reviews? If you like everything these days congratulations, your standards have been worn down to a stump!
Interesting. What it is about OoT that you were let down by? (I'm asking partly because I'm curious and partly because you should be prepared for the hate bomb you're likely to get)Wardog13 post=9.72096.752680 said:Ocarina of Time
Yea, Oblivion was one of those games that takes awhile to get in to. =[Teth post=9.72096.751881 said:Amazingly enough, my choice was a game that was universally lauded (as far as I can tell) - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I found the interface claustrophobic, lack of a reasonable third-person perspective to be detracting (you couldn't properly aim and what not in third person, it was more of a cosmetic mode), and the game world was extremely dull right from the get go.
I'm sure that if I would have stuck with it and traveled the game more I would have found it more appealing - but you know what they say about first impressions.
