Hi all, still sort of new here I know but I had something happen too me the other day and I was wondering if anyone else shared my experience... well I already know everyone probably has, but I wanted people to share their thoughts.
So I was in summer A humanities and was having a good time (I actually like school..) and I that the girl next to me was also in my psych class, so I asked her and we laughed about the other teacher, anyways I hadn't really looked at her too much except her face and maybe a casual glance. So she was sitting next to me and the teacher is going on about mythology when suddenly she stretched her arms above her head, arms back, chest forward... I thought my eyes were going to pop out of my head, I felt like the guy from raiders of the lost ark that face melted... I kept my cool and looked away (I'm christian and don't really think it is right to stare)
The rest of the class I had complete mush brains, [http://www.thelondonpaper.com/thelondonpaper/news/london/news/researchers-talking-to-women-makes-men-thick] I was just utterly freaked out by the experience because I hadn't really had this happen before (Homeschooled) Now I have to sit next to her in class for the rest of the term (NOT COMPLAINING) but I find myself severely distracted in class at times.
Who else has this happened to? Discuss.
(PS if anyone has tips on how a tall, skinny, shy guy could go about befriending this lady, would be nice... =D)
First of all, allow me to congratulate you on your self-control. Believe me, getting caught staring at the headlights is a good way to find yourself in a lot of pain.
Secondly, (and this will sound trite but..) act casually. Be calm and be friendly. Don't let her know how much she makes you sweat. She may be trying to prod you to see how you react.
Thirdly, listen to her. Throughout any given conversation she may drop clues as to who she is, where she is coming from, her likes, her dislikes, etc. This also might clue you in to whether or not she digs you.
Got all that, Captain?
Me? Well, there was this girl in highschool. Real sweetheart. Cute face. Shy as can be. I thought me and her had good chemistry. Complication: she was also be pursued by our school's star runningback. Big, handsome, built like a battle tank. He began flirting with her too. So it was that one day she invited me to come with her a local anime convention...and *shiver* cosplay.
That's right. I was so head over heels for this girl that I was willing to look like a total goon. So me and some friends drive over to Orlando and meet up at the Convention Center in full costume. We were not alone. Apparently, she also invited the football ogre as well. The tension was thick. I seriously thought me and him were gonna slug it out. But then, he did the strangest thing. He pulled me aside and we had a chat. He explained that he wanted to take a swing at this girl, and he realized I wanted my shot too. We both agreed to respect her wishes and not to interfere with each other's attempts at hooking up with her. If she chose one of us, the other would back down like a gentleman. We shook hands and all was well.
...until the girl in question walked in the door. Boys and girls, that was the most stunning and erotic thing I had seen in my life up to that point.
She always wore sweaters that seemed to hide her figure. So when she comes in dressed in a skin tight latex body suit (she was dressed like Rei from NGE), revealing a body that made me grateful for the loose robes I had on....all bets were off. I don't know how long the two of us stood there staring like dorks but I remember her walking past and telling us to follow her...I remember making eye contact with the runningback. The message was clear: one of us was going down.
Well, it didn't quite work out that way. Seems the convention was her excuse to meet up with this older guy she had been chatting with online (the guy was in his 30s). So neither of us got the girl.
So yeah, the rest of the convention saw a dour looking generic ronin moping around with a sour looking Kenshiro.
Moral of the story: learn the facts before you dive in.
