The Dark Knight thread inspired this one. Basically which characterization of Batman do you prefer? The one from the older Animated Series or the one in the Dark Knight?

That is the real Batman in a way. Why? Because in the majority of the comics he is shown like that. Arkham asylum is also based of the animated show in the 90's which later became Batman beyond, not to mention that the same batman in that show was also in the official justice league show. (The whole time they still had the same guy doing the voice of batman in The first animated show, Justice league and Batman beyond)

Edit: Of course he wasn't THE Batman in Batman beyond but he still was Bruce Wayne. The voice actor I mean.

I have to say The Batman in Arkham Asylum was the best when it came to characterization. It isn't based off the animated series though. It is based off the comics.

The animated series. 100% anger all the time makes for a 1-dimensional character.

I like Batman the best at the moments where he's mellowing out. Of the entire bat-family, I like Batman the least. I still like him, just not as much as the others.

I don't care. Whether it's Adam West or Arkham Asylum, Batman will always be Batman.

Arkham Asylum is how I officially recognize the entire Batman universe now. The way that every character was portrayed in that game is the best it has ever been.

Also, Mark Hamill's Joker > Heath Ledger's Joker.

It is actually based off the Batman comics. In the Batman Beyond series Barbra Gordon was not confined to a wheelchair. In the comics she is and is also called Oracle.

The show was based of the comics thats why the voice actors from the show did the game.

I was watching Batman beyond the other day and Barbera said that "My dreams of helping the city died with a tommy gun" I'm assuming in the future of Batman Beyond they cured her Paralysis since in the show there was never a single person in a wheel chair. Edit: I just saw an episode and they have robotic implants for people with handicaps, so she must have become Oracle than recovered in the time between beyond and the original animated show.

The show was somewhat based off the comics yes. I think the reason they picked the voice actors for the game was for the fans. Plus they knew how good the voice actors were as well.

I kinda doubt they cured her. It would have been nice if there was an explanation for why she was not in a wheel chair.

well in beyond she was married but had no kids and was an old woman, so what I'm thinking is she got Paralysed became Oracle then in the futur got robotic implants to walk and got married some time after retiring as Oracle and becoming the new police commissioner.

Since I don't want us to start an argument over this I say we agree to disagree. You have your opinion and I have my opinion.
