At one point I was thinking of changing my gamertag to UAV. Everytime i would log on then my friends would have to activate their counter-UAV's, of course.

I won't lie. I laughed my head off at that one.

I always wanted a level 100 Metapod called Mr. Balls or something. I'm pretty sure if you let it use Harden a few times it would actually be an indestrubtible green doom machine, whose only attack is to make the enemy give up when they realise you have like a million defence points.

Once, my friend and I made a Fallout 3 character called Reginaldinette. She had a chin you could use as a diving board, and we used console commands to give her the Mysterious Stranger's revolver and spawned loads of Behemoths. That was fun.

In Dragon Age 2, I named my character Thomas. Get it? Thomas Hawke? ThomasHawke? Tomahawk! Hardy har har! I love terrible puns.
I went with Moe.

Also in dragon age origins I called one of my characters "Shepard". And when you play Awakening you become the Grey Warden Commander. Making my PC, Commander Shepard. YEAH!

My current KoTOR character is called Mrs. Madness
I named mine Chell, she kinda looks like her and it doesnt seem so out of place in the KOTOR universe

anyway usually I dont really put too much thourght into charachter names, I called my first shepard Sally because I thourght it was such a funny non-threataning name, now I belive shepards name is Jennifer

anyway I had a weird moment in Fallout NV, I named my courier shepard and didnt give it a second thourght

then ageis later I talked to a ranger and the option was "the name's Shepard.." for a second I was like "WHHHAAA???...oh thats right"

I never bother with silly names, I tend to either use my own name, or names that I really like. For example, right now, my favourite female names are Luna, Alice, and Niamh. So in Pokemon Emerald I'm currently playing a female character called Luna, and my Fallout 3 character is called Alice. Just because, hell, why not?

That is a stroke of genius!

I suppose the wittiest character name I ever used was appropriated from City of Heroes. I named my character in Oblivion U'kon G'rai which translates to "you con grey". It was the name of a raid boss in CoH. There were never enough Mothership Raids. It took so long to get all those Vanguard merits.

*Conning denotes the level of an NPC (particularly in MMOs) with grey meaning that the NPC is several levels below you and can't put up a halfway decent fight.

I think everyone has named the rival from pokemon a range of colourful names. "Douche" being a favourite of mine.
"This is my Grandson, his name is...oh what was his name? Oh that's right! It was Douche."

Alright: you win. Here is your complementary plate of bacon:

OT: I know I've done it before but I can't think of any good examples at the moment.
Funnily enough my last Fallout 3 character was called Bacon.

In Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, I named my character 'Linebeck' so when you meet Linebeck he asks you what your name is and then says "Linebeck? That's a stupid name. My name's Linebeck."

When I was seven, the funniest name that I could think of was penis for my pokemon character. I would call my rival vagina, and nickname my first pokemon either shit, or fuck, and a legend was born. Just imagine it. A pokemon legend called penis, who adventured with a pokemon called fuck and who battled a rival called vagina. God, I can't believe I found that funny.

my one and only favorite silly name to give, would be the name i gave "Link" in ocarina of time. i named him Zelda, because in the begining of the game when zelda and zelda are spying on gannondorf whilst he's talking to the king, zelda asks Zelda what his name is... to which he then replied, "Zelda" and she says something along the lines of "ohh? Zelda you say? that name sounds so familiar"

HAH! still cracks me up

Once I named my Oblivion char 'That C*nt'. It was pretty funny putting 'That C*nt' into every conversation mentioning me (in my head).

e.g.

By Azura, by Azura, by Azura! It's That C*nt, Grand Champion of The Arena! Standing here, in front of me.

Misread the thread.
If you're irish and someone tells you "The gards(guards)know your name", it would mean you are known to the police.
Far more exciting...
haha, i'm not even 1/10 irish and that's what i thought it meant as well!! hooray

I am replaying through KOTOR at the moment and my character's name is 'Ruuku Des' which is 'Luke' the way Japanese say it (im not racist...dont give me that look!). The reason why is because one of the custom characters faces has the 'Kung-Fu Master' look about him so I named him in Japanese for the lols
