Regarding Juno, I edited her sheet so she's a Sargent, and I changed "distrustful" to "collaborator". Not sure why I put "distrustful" there in the first place, actually...

Oh, and her Anti-Materiel rifle's scope now picks up heat sigs.

A question, am I allowed Active-Camo or maybe a downgraded version? I'd love to be that one guy who sneaks behind enemies and flanks them while the bigger conflict happens up front.

Just a thought...

Sounds interesting.

Name: Zack Tower, callsign ZACK
Race: Human
Gender: Male
UNSC Unit: Spartan IV
Rank: Private (?)
Age: 28

Appearance: Operator helmet, HazOp shoulders, default chest armor. Visor color: black. His armor is a very dark green, meant to be used in both jungles and night operations. Pale skin, brown eyes, shaved head.

Personality: Zack is a strange combination of cowardly and loyal. He will often abandon his mission if he feels in danger, but will not leave behind his squad mates. He has a long attention span and has a lot of patience, but when he snaps, he really snaps. He's been promoted many times for exceptional combat prowess, and demoted many more times for disobeying orders.

Bio: Zack has a troubled past, but doesn't seem to care. He was a bastard child, his father had left him before he was born. He lived with his sickly mother in a slum. The local gang had an initiation test of killing one person, and he was unlucky enough to be selected by a host of initiates at the same time. It was then that he learned the arts of stealth, hiding from his pursuers and then turning the tables when they weren't looking. Eventually, his pursuers decided to take matters to the extreme, and tossed a molotov cocktail into his house while he was asleep. He barely escaped, but his mother was not so lucky. In order to escape, he enlisted in the military, fought many battles, was selected for special ops, then made into a Spartan IV. The ops he participated in were supposedly secret, but he is very forthcoming with information on them.

Specializations: Trooper, Operator, Commando, Stealth Expert, Scout, Collaborator, Renegade Hunter, Mystified.

Weapons: Silenced DMR, silenced pistol (Could I possibly get some sort of special knife for stealth kills?)

Let me know if Zack's tendencies to disobey orders when in severe danger is going to be too much of a problem.

Just to clear this up, James carries a silenced BR55HB SR Battle Rifle with a heat sensitive scope. Meaning the scope can pick out heat signatures.

Sorry man, no Active Camo, though you can sneak around as much as you want.
If Active Camo were allowed inevitably someone would go invisible and kill a million and one enemies at once.

Sheet looks good, and that shouldn't be a problem.

Infact defining characteristics like that are welcomed.

Actually, now that I've noticed that almost everyone else is a stealth expert, I'm going to change mine up, to add some variety and so that the squad can actually handle combat. Certain aspects will stay the same.

Name: Zack Tower, call sign THOR
Race: Human
Gender: Male
UNSC Unit: Spartan IV
Rank: Private
Age: 38

Appearance: E.V.A. Helmet with a silver visor, commando right shoulder pad, grenadier left shoulder pad, grenadier knee pads, Assault/breacher wrist armor, HP/Halo chest armor. The armor's primary color is a rich orange. He has brown eyes, a shaved head, and tanned skin. He's about average height, but is much thicker than other foot soldiers.

Biography: Born and raised on a remote farm with his gambling-addicted father and sickly mother. When he was eight, the local mafia showed up on his doorstep, demanding that his father would pay his "debt." They seized Zack's father as soon as he appeared, and took off. Without his father, Zack was solely responsible for the upkeep of the farm, and for producing enough money to pay for his mother's medications. He would fight off the wildlife that would try to eat his crop, and would travel for several days by foot to reach the nearest pharmacy every seven days, in order to get the medicine he needed to keep his mother alive. The physical torment made him mentally and physically durable, but he lacks knowledge of culture or arts. Not that the UNSC cares.

When he was sixteen, a group of insurrectionists bombed a shipyard, and tried to escape into the wilderness in order to escape UNSC pursuit. They came upon his farm, and demanded that he shelter them, threatening to kill him with their superior weaponry. When the UNSC patrols arrived, all six insurrectionists had cracked skulls, twisted limbs, and a minimum of three broken ribs each, all caused by Zack's bare hands. After this discovery, the UNSC lieutenant Blake tried to recruit Zack. Zack agreed, on the condition that his mother would be taken care of on government money. She didn't eat much, lived on a remote farm without heat or electricity, and the medicine, while vital, was relatively cheap, so the UNSC agreed. Zack showed excellent marksmanship and resilience, occasionally taking several plasma burns and continuing to fight with deadly accuracy. During training, he was picked out to become a machine gun specialist for his special ability to essentially ignore recoil. He was offered promotions on several occasions, but he declined every time, stating that he was a follower, not a leader. He did, however, accept the invitation to join the Spartan IVs. In his Spartan career, he was mostly used to help extract special operatives from nasty situations after their cover had been blown. He is usually sent alone, and he says that the phrase he's used most often in his military career is "I am your reinforcements." He was the UNSC's "get out of jail free card."

He still routinely visits his mother on his rare shore-leaves, and as she reaches the dusk of her life, her mind begins to falter. Her memories of Zack have become skewed; she thinks he is her long-since disappeared husband, and criticizes him every chance she gets, even though he is literally taking bullets in order for her to stay alive. She thinks that the UNSC delivery men are God's messengers, and they find that hilarious. Zack's touchy subject is being called a "momma's boy."

Personality: He bears a resentment towards the higher-ups in the army. He considers the men who send others to fight for them cowards, unworthy of their positions of power. At the same time, he understands the importance of a well coordinated battlefield. He holds a deep respect for other foot soldiers, especially the marines and ODSTs. He sometimes regrets becoming a Spartan, as he feels that he has taken a "cowardly shortcut." He is by no means humble when it comes to his combat abilities, but is very aware if his lack of intellect, and is ashamed by it. He also severely hates gambling, and has been noted as "passive aggressive" towards gamblers.

Specializations: Trooper, Heavy Gunner, Warfighter, All Guns Blazing, Vehicle Expert, Collaborator, Renegade Hunter, Mystified

Weapons: Machine Gun Turret with a bipod attachment, and a pistol.

I am cool with the idea that my character wouldn't know about the natives. That makes perfect sense. I was thinking he could know the limited information/lore/legend the Covenant had concerning that planet. You could alway PM me relative exposition about the setting/planet/background throughout the RP which I could work into my characters dialogue. Just an idea.

Will post an actual character sheet at sometime tomorrow.

What happens to the turret when Zack gets into a vehicle? What happens to Zack's turret when he mans a warthog turret?
Awesome sheet man, thanks for mixing things up a bit by the way.

Depending on the vehicle he could use his turret.
Say if he were in some sort of truck he could jump on the back and use his turret.
If he were in a vehicle which already has a turret he will use that instead.

Ahhh ok.
You can have a very less powerful version of it, like an its only effective at night kind of powerful.

How about only working for a limited amount of time. 10 Seconds? I'll have to think about it more and if that's suitable, I can explore with more 'depth.'

Hyped for this by the way, haven't been in one for a long time.

To be honest I'm not sure how many players would be a good amount.

We've got six guys who have made or are making a sheet and have multiple posts at the moment. (In other words have a major interest.)

I think one more player would be enough, but may be a stretch.

Anyways, just wanted to ask what you guys reckon would be a good number?

Yeah 10 seconds seems right, thats enough time to jump some poor fool but not to kill a whole army.

Your hyped for this? Good to hear.
I really think its coming along quite well and most of the users who have posted seem really into it.
I think this is gonna work pretty well seeing as you guys seem quite dedicated.
Theres just one small issue I'm not sure about, explained above.

I'm more wondering where Zack is to put his turret. There isn't exactly a whole lot of room in the seats of a warthog. And how much ammo will the turret have? Could Zack take ammo from stationary turrets?

Also, some suggestions about the invisibility problem, if I may?

You could make it have a once per day usage, and only functions while stationary. So that it's more of a last resort, "get out of jail free" power instead of a "IMMA GO AROUND KILLING THE SHIT OUT OF THESE GUYS, AND NO-ONE WILL NOTICE!" power.

Ammo will be assumed to be unlimited for everyone, simply because of the problems that the opposite would entail.
Say if everyone had 60 rounds and it takes 5 to kill an enemy, it would be weird and confusing and we'd all run outta ammo quickly.

As for where the turret goes there would be enough room to store it in the back of a warthog for example, or to make things easier your guy could sling it over his shoulder when not in use or carry it on his lap when in a passenger position.
Oh yeah and the camo issue is being resolved.

I meant the above post, the issue is the number of players, how many there should be.

Okay, now that I know that ammo isn't going to be an issue, I've updated my sheet, by changing the attachment/mod on the turret from 3-round-burst ability to a bipod.

Also, I think that eight players should be the absolute maximum. I think six is the ideal number, seven is passable, eight is stretching it, and nine just causes the RP to turn into a clusterfuck.

Name:Covenant Name-Sssu 'Retomee (Elite Name Maker!) Nickname-Terror
Race: Sangheli
Gender: Male
Rank:Special Operations Sangheli
Age:Unknown
Appearance:

Like this, except it is a mix between Jet Black and Blood Red. Since it's Sangheli Armour, I can't really describe it anymore.

Weapon:
Custom-Made Red/Black Silenced Plasma Rifle (or do I have to make that Specialization thing to add one? I hope making a weapon is alright...)
Energy Sword.

Personality: Respects humans but to an extent, he wishes to kill any human that isn't like the others. Some are in his 'good book' which he would die for but the majority are mutual allies. One must prove him/herself 'worthy' to gain his respect.

He likes quick and decisive battles, taking out the enemy as soon as they're in his sights. Knowing that frontal conflict is suicide, he picks his enemies off one by one. Although it is rare for him to fight in close-quarters, he like all other Elites are skilled in such situations.

He is calm and cool-minded, very relaxed in the most heated moments which is why he was regarded as one of the best Special Ops. But now forgotten by most, classified as MIA. (Does that fit with the criteria of this team?)
Biography:
Having grown up in the typical Sangheili Culture, he was noted as a more calm and relaxed yet more powerful than the others. He was quickly thrust into combat when ready and showed talent. Going from Minor to Major, he quickly became a Specialist Operative.

He fought on many planets unknown to most and did key things to turn the tide of a battle. On one fateful mission, he was sent to Theran to deal with something not even his commanding officer knew about. His Squad was wiped out and as his officer's last wish, he was forced to kill him and take his commander's energy sword.

Since this, he has a burning hatred for the natives which at times, his calm self can not control.

Specializations:
Warrior
Commando
Stealth Expert
Scout
Collaborator
Sympathizer
Xenophobe
