The last Game you Over Hyped about ?

Halo 3 for me.

Hey, if I bought my 360 just to play it, does that make me a bad person?

Probably Masters of Orion 3 (MOO3). MOO2 was so good, so very great, that I was sure the sequel would be so great and grand, and the website screenshots seemed to confirm my hopes and dreams, and then when it came...

It wasn't so much "Interstellar Empire" as "Interstellar Beaucrat"

Spore. I had access to a friend's demo character creator and I made about 15 different characters before the game came out. I was all pumped, I'd pre-ordered the special edition... what a waste of fricken money.

i was hype on spore since the first E3 where they spoke about it, i think it was in 2005...

i was in the store at opening time to get the special edition one... and played something like... a week ?

Kingdom Hearts 2

I was waiting for 5 damned years...and when it was finally released in the UK, I ran out to the shops and bought it.

I put the game into the console...and almost lulled myself to sleep with the opening song.

Then I got to play the game...not as great as I expected, but still pretty awesome.

At the risk of sounding like a JRPG fag, KH2 was the game I nearly died waiting for.

Oh MAN! Thank god there is somebody like me. I hated having to wait for this game, but when I finally purchased it and tore of it's covering, I was in heaven for about 3 months.

I liked the character and thought the game looked kickass. But when I got down to playing it, i just lost all hope in my beloved blue adrenaline rush.

I was counting down the days for over a month for GTAIV and when it came out the opening credits actually gave me the shakes as I sat in antisipation, then after 4 hours of playing it finaly got good. But as i sat doing the bad missions which build storyline and develop character i was so let down but then it really picked up.

Neverwinter Nights 2. Pre-ordered and then regretted.

Also, Warhammer Online. I have played it since Open Beta till December, then got bored (also, it was when $ sky-rocketed, so it was no longer worth paying for). Tried picking up trial, didn't want to play more than a day. I was downloading it longer than playing, for crying out loud.

Resident evil 5.

I heard about it last year whilst I was in University. I actually forced myself to get good grades so i would have money to get the game when the time came.

I remember looking at the video game countdown and it was at 290 some days and saying its so close.

For me this HAS to be Halo 3, I remember the hype around it, it built up so much in those painful last few weeks. You know those AWFUL last few weeks before release, I'd just be sitting around in my house not doing anything because I was WAITING for the game to come out. I would have dreams about playing Halo 3, then wake up to discover it wasn't real. My friends and I all got together and made a rule, everyone wait until eight o'clock so we are all playing the game at the same time. I remember the day it came to me, it was there in my house and the wait until eight nearly killed me. Fingers shaking as eight o'clock approached I placed the divine disk into my humble 360 and started playing. I listened to the great Halo theme with my eyes closed in utter bliss before creating the elite player avatar you see on my profile picture.
When the game finally started and I heard the opening music I just was in danger of passing out in excitement. Halo 3, I was actually playing Halo 3.

It was the most happy I've ever been with a game console ever. My friends and I took the release of Halo 3 and made it into an event that I think I'll remember the rest of my life.

If this makes me a fanboy here this:

"If playing video games you love makes me a fanboy, then I'd rather be a fanboy who plays something he actually likes then someone who only plays the games everyone else plays."

That is a EPIC story
Even though in my personal preferance i like Gears 2 more (Mind you i own both consoles)
Halo 3 Deserves ALOT of respect
