The last Game you Over Hyped about ?

Resident evil 5.

I heard about it last year whilst I was in University. I actually forced myself to get good grades so i would have money to get the game when the time came.

I remember looking at the video game countdown and it was at 290 some days and saying its so close.

This except I also over hyped for Fable 2.

I never over hyped any game (maybe that is sad). Usually i get a demo or beta or something to see if the game is good. Too many times have i heard friends saying: "This game is going to be awesome!!!" then it turns out to be a complete failure.

Resistance 2. In a single player campaign terms.

I loved the Fall of Man campaign, first FPS campaign I've enjoyed since Call of Duty 2. And while Resistance 2 was still good, I was just hoping for it be miles better than Fall of Man's. It just felt like it didn't really take off until the end of the 4th chapter.

Fear 2. I was so excited I accidentally went to Best Buy a day early to get it. I haven't touched it since I first played it. What a waste of money >:/

Fallout 3 let me down so much that I couldn't bear to finish it before putting in Oblivion again.

I has such high hopes, and I never have high hopes for a game, ever. But I thought this would be different...But I ended up enjoying Fable 2 so much more.

I also fell prey to the hype of Fable II. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it and have seen it through to the end more than once, but all these features they made sound so amazing just weren't there. The dog did next to fuck all, online co-op was shite, and where was the free roaming?

GTA4 definatley.
I wasn't let down by it, but I was a bit dissapointed because it wasn't as much fun and crude humour

Because I have very, very, very low expectations.

However, when I saw the Fallout 3 trailer...Every fond memory of Fallout came back to me, and it was captured perfectly, and it reminded me of the intro of the first game (obviously) and I got so happy...

And you know what? It's a sequel I actually liked.

Left 4 Dead... Then you realize it has only 3 levels... and I'm still waiting for either new ones.. or at the very least player-created maps... Still waiting..

Quantum Of Solace. From what I saw on the hands on demo from x-play the game looked awesome. Then the Demo came along and I cried. (not really though)

For a game that actually was good, Dead Space. I skipped half of school the day it came out just so I could go back to my dorm and play it.. And it was actually not that bad.

Halo 2 was the last game I ever overhyped about. I still like the game, but I've realized it's stupid to overhype about a game.

Kingdom Hearts 2

I was waiting for 5 damned years...and when it was finally released in the UK, I ran out to the shops and bought it.

I put the game into the console...and almost lulled myself to sleep with the opening song.

Then I got to play the game...not as great as I expected, but still pretty awesome.

At the risk of sounding like a JRPG fag, KH2 was the game I nearly died waiting for.

Oh MAN! Thank god there is somebody like me. I hated having to wait for this game, but when I finally purchased it and tore of it's covering, I was in heaven for about 3 months.

Took me a while to get into KH1 but once I was went out the next day to pre order KH2. My mom held on to it for a week after it was released so i could focus on my school work till spring break. Once she gave it too me I was entranced for weeks.The story wouldn't let me go

More recently was Tales of Vesperia, It was as orgasmic as a hoped it would be, barly noticed when the play one hundrered hour acheviment flashed.

BioShock. Since I had to pick it up around 6 - 6:30 pm, the commercials were just an endless taunt. "Bet you can't wait to experience this huh..? Just a few more hours? Good luck."

Honestly I heard about Endwar like 2 years in advance and as soon as i could i pre-ordered it. I was stoked. the day it came out i grabbed it and played it for 15 mins and was immensly disappointed. "Biggest waste of money." (I was pissed)
