Or,with Mount and Blade again, having one's army decimated, only to be alone vs 50 enemies that can get reinforcements and get an extra 60 or so men.

Charging through the "ranks" of archers with your shield up,only to couch your lance at the last second and take out one of the bastard is a thrill.
It becomes less fun when the arrows and lucky sword hits on your horse kills it and you are surrounded by 30 swordmen zerg-rushing you.

The general who destroyed my army is still rotting in the jail of a forsaken little castle in the mountains.I drop in from time to time to say hello.

I had one on Team Fortress two, we were down to no respawns, I was the last one left on my team, the other team had four people and I was a madic, the shock I felt when I killed all of them was exhilirating.

I used to make amazing comebacks in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Whenever I had one life left I started doing a hell of a lot better then before. I'm usually able to take out a few lives on the other person or beat them entirely.

In most competition related FPS games.

When all your team mates die and you are left alone with around 1 HP against 5 enemy 12 year olds.

I usually fight back because the feeling you get when you pull it off is bloody great!

I headshotted two people with a bow in TF2, then smacked 3 more with the kukri.

I died later, but hey, it was cool.

Operation Flashpoint 2
I was doing the mission near the end where you have to assassinate the general, after losing it and sniping everyone in the valley I went to the top of a hill to blow up a radio station. Anyway, as I went down the hill my team got slaughtered and I got shot in the right arm and left leg. I had no cover and I just emptied my clip at the air so I pulled out my pistol and killed about 12 of the bastards. After that I was pretty fucked, ran through the forest to the LZ with two attack helicopters following me. I made it and I felt like I was some sort of war hardened badass, the sole survivor.

Starcraft... it was 6 vs 2

My base was destroyed by the enemies rushes, so i re-established a small little production and resource collection in my allies base.
We took a beating, but during one there massive raids, we moved a fleet of carriers into there base while a siege tanks line up, supported by battlecruisers, held the line at our base.
Took out the main rusher, then moved a full scale counter attack, which obliterated the rest of the bases as they had failed to build up a force in the time between raiding and being raided.

I've had this feeling in several games. In Warcraft 3 it normally just irritates the other team but in FPS and MMOs I feel like I'm stalling the enemy team or getting a few extra kills.

Gotta love it, most recent moment was playing Guild Wars, (If you don't play Guild wars you won't get the following story.)

So, a hour and a half into Frostmaw's Burow on Hard Mode, we get to Frostmaw himself, team gets killed except me and the norn allies. I ended up soloing and killing frostmaw by myself with those allies tanking (everytime he burrowed the allies respawned and they got attacked) since I was running ranger with a longbow it was easy to get out of aggro and deal damage.

Amazingly the game recognized this feat of sheer luck and rewarded me with a Req 10 Silverwing for my troubles :)

Gears of War 2 horde mode. Getting to level 49 and having your 4 team mates die while you run around in cercles trying to shake off the enemies. Most fun times of my life...

Once on Gears of War 2 I was playing a round of Guardian on Jacinto. Our leader had died and it was me and one other guy on the other side of the map. So I was alone and I saw a big horde of people walk by. I thought that there was no way I would survive so I waited for them to pass and I ambushed their leader from behind. To my surprise, I actually killed the leader and just went all out and ended up kill the entire team by myself. Maybe that was luck but it was a rush if I ever felt one.

Also Counter-Strike: Source on cs_office is so much fun if you're the last man standing. Normally if the other team is significantly better than our team and I'm a terrorist then I'll stay back in the storage room and wait for the other team to kill off everyone on my team like I expected. I hardly ever survive, but hunting them down one by one makes me feel like Rambo if I can pull it off.

It's the best part of a game.

Mount and Blade, where the enemy outnumbers me 400 to 60, and I imagine my lord giving out his "Do not go gentle into that goodnight" speech.
.
Yeah, in that game the feeling is often there.

When your 80 top elite soldiers fight the 900 strong horde of khanate sodliers of much varying skill.
Charging them with your waraxe (i swear to that weapon) makes you feel like part of 300 or 13th warrior

Modded Fallout 3, hiding in a high place in Greyditch from a LEGION of fire ants (40+) with limited ammo and health. EPIC

I played Rome total war like that once, I had 1 unit of crew (probably nearly equal to peasants) and I nearly took the entire enemy castle with them, I was outnumber about 10 to 1 by heavier units, eventually they regrouped however, and my [by then] 20 guys were no match for 200 or so spearheaded by polish knights, epic though.
I think you're talking about medieval total war, not sure they had polish knights in ancient times.

I experienced it in board game form when I was younger.

I was playing Axis and Allies; I was Japan, my friend was Germany and his older brother was the Allies. We had been playing since 11pm and it was nearly 6am. My friend had actually lost Germany and only had a few remaining troops in the southern region of Africa. At one point I had laid claim to Russia, but it was only a token takeover that wasn't actually thought out.

His brother kept trying to decimate Japan and the few places I held onto were just the eastern seaboard of Asia next to Japan. My resistance was so strong that he told me that we would end in a stalemate if he hadn't won by 7am (we did want to go to sleep after all). At 9:45am he finally declared a stalemate as he couldn't defeat me, and any expansion I tried was utterly futile.

It was EPIC!!!!

I have a dopamine defficiency so I don't get addrenaline rushes. Instead, I get stress, heartache, fatigue, & then I get reallly tired. That's why I suck at shooters.
