I'd say Gravemind from the Halo series...

I mean, he has the combined intelligence of billions, wiped entire galaxies clean and controls millions of the Flood! The only thing missing is the shades...

THE SHADES!!!!

Since Lelouch has already been mentioned, i'd say... Manfred Von Karma from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, he was probably the best opponent in the game... And y'know the finger snap was awesome XD
lol that dude was only great because of how irratating he was!!!! and whats with the same judge at every single trial grrr
Yeah the irritation was what made him epic "i'm finally getting somewhere OBJECTION! FUCK VON KARMA WHY!" XD

Keyser Soze. The man killed his own family so the mafia hostage takers couldn't have the satifaction... And then killed all the Hungarians except one, so he could tell the mafia what had happened. He then dissapears, and begins to murder anybody and everybody affiliated with the mafia or that just happens to gets in his way (innocents included).

Or did he?
I got his ass on tape *looks both ways* [small]Take this, don't show anybody else... shhh.[/small]
Great movie but can't for the life of me remember the name at the moment.
I had a feeling it was him in the ship scene where the informant got killed and knowing all the info etc.

OT: Kefka and Sephiroth are both great villains for polar opposite reasons and The Joker is also brilliant.

He's not technically a villain insofar as he plays the lawman, but James Coburn as Pat in Sam Peckinpah's "Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid" (1973). Totally badass.

Damn it... well, there you go. How could I forget?

Of course, Keyser Soze. The sole concept of the figure makes The Usual Suspects a damn good film.
I think he's like #51 on Hollwood's top 100 villains, which has never made sense to me. He's a top 10.

OT: LELOUCH though... Really people. We're talking badass villain, Lelouch is like Brutus to Caeser. A footnote. Now his old man the KING was a badass, he dominated the world! Lelouch was just a lil' emo chess playing martyr, that played his part. Hell, even Suzaku and Kallen were 10x as badass as Lelouch. Kallen had no special abilities, and kicked ass and actually fought in the battles on the forefront that made Lelouch(Zero) look like the hero, but take her out of the mix... Lelouch loses! Who else could fight Suzaku? Lelouch? He got his ass handed to him when he tried. Ridiculous to say the least!

Just a shame that EA had to molest the series and ultimately destroy it in the unmentionable last game that totally doesn't exist.

OT: Albert Wesker has a good amount of badassness to be considered as one of the most badass villains in the world. But Gman and Gandorf are much better examples of badassery.

I'm trying to remember other badass characters that seem to be killed at the end of a game but turn out to be controlling all the events in the sequel but I can't remember any names.

Darth Fucking Vader. No one can deny it! The voice and the suit are the coolest things ever. Grnted hes a whinny ***** for one scene but from then on hes awesome!
Well, he's a whiny ***** for three entire films if you include episodes one to three pre-mutilation.
I dont count that as Darth Vader. Tome hes only Vader oncce the suitis on. That guy ebfore him was a clone sent back in time by the rebels to runin the image of the Sith.

I would say Kefka. Nothing as badass as being completely 100% batshit crazy and still able to get what you want done. Though I respect the frail frame does weaken his case a bit.
Seconded...because you can't beat this quote: "Nothing beats the music of a thousand voices screaming in unison."

Father from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I'd give his ultimate goal to show how badass he is, but I don't know how to use the spoiler boxes and i wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.

Me and SimuLord (no, I'm not gonna say SimuLord and I) just had this discussion. If you could combine two geat RPG charactes to make one... Those are the two (three, counting the Joker). Throw in some Soze, SquareEnix could breathe some new life into the Final Fantasy series.

Sovereign from Mass Effect. Seriously, the dude is fuckin' Mecha Cthulu. He nearly brought about the end of the world(s) single-handedly.
Also, just listen to that voice:

Lord Cutler Beckett, Pirates of the Caribbean :p He was so epic that i rooted for him.
Is he really a villain? He was a crime fighting, progressive sort, and the pirates were the bad guys.

I guess someone had to take up the slack in the last movie; Capt. Barbossa was a now a comic side-kick to Jack Sparrow, and Davy Jones became a pussy whipped, de-masculated wuss. Barbossa was an awesome baddy in the first movie. Davy Jones was suitable for the sequel. Beckett is kind of lame.

Oh, and most badass? The bad guy from Avatar. Come on, it was a lousy movie, but that guy was great. He would walk outside into a lethally toxic atmosphere without a mask, just so he could get an extra second to carry on shooting people. He watches a flaming holocaust whilst drinking coffee and laughing. He jumps out of a crashing aircraft in a robot gorrilla suit and takes on a giant native riding a panther the size of an elephant in a knife fight. That's bad ass!
You're right. I just liked his ship. Still dont understand it, that thing had like five hundred canons it could have owned the black pearl and maybe scratched the Flying Dutchman. I mean really...
Yeah, didn't the guy have an entire armada of ships? What where they doing whilst the Pearl and the Dutchman where slaughtering the flagship?
