Well, I bet so many people have said my choices.
Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin is just beautiful. I tear up so much when I listen to it.
Don't Cry by Guns N' Roses is a lovely song too, it's also pretty damn awesome.
18 and Life by Skid Row is a great song, it's pretty soothing, and it has good lyrics.

'Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien' by Edith Piaf would have to be one for me.. I don't usually like french music, but after seeing her life story (a movie adaption, La Vie En Rose) and the translation of the words.. Wow.

'Farewell' by Apocalyptica and 'Silence ~Battle With the Colossus~' from the Shadow of the Colossus OST are two songs that never fail to give me chills. Simply stunning.

Two more I have to add to my pool would have to be 'Cry of the Black Birds' by Amon Amarth and 'The Wonders At Your Feet' by Dark Tranquillity. Both are heavy, but something about them is just so soothing and beautiful.

The most beautiful album ever made is In the Aeroplane over the Sea, the most beautiful song is Two Headed Boy part 2. For me it's because I have a brother that I'm very close to which enhances the song. It makes a person feel vulnerably mortal, and makes you realize how important family and loved ones are. At least to me.

Well it depends. I'll be one of the few to say that the first few songs that came to mind were from soundtracks.

At Zanarkand - Final Fantasy X
At the Bottom of Night - Chrono Trigger
Aerith's Theme - Final Fantasy VII
Shinshuu Plains - Okami

The next few were from anime -

Blue Bird - Naruto
Megumeru - Clannad
Tobira no Mukou he - Full Metal Alchemist

Then I thought of some others.

Pieces - Red
Stand - Denver and the Mile High Orchestra

And I, like some people earlier, love I'm Still Here, Jim's theme from Treasure Planet. Amazing song, amazing movie: Treasure Planet doesn't get enough love.

Well, just for starters, "The End of All Things" by Howard Shore. Best implementation of choral crescendoes I have ever heard.

Then there's "Kanada's Death, pt. I (Adagio in D Minor)" by John Murphy. Great beat with a very light overall tone.

Hide and Seek - Imogen Heap
Woods - Bon Iver

There are probably a lot of people that are going to hate those songs. . .

Now for the obvious's

Mad World - Gary Jules
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley version

Just because they're overused doesn't make them less beautiful. Until Alexandra Burke covers it.

Fuck yeah, though my vote for them would have to be Love You To Death [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9BwQGYDLXg&feature=related]. Aside from that, I'd say Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber. Nothing else signifies the struggle for perfection better (IMO). Such sad music.

Both are great, yes :)

I think the song I consider to be the most beautiful is Trapeze Swinger by Iron & Wine [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raVzi_y6XWI]
