I can't say without spoiling the game, but all those deaths in Shadow of Destiny? Wait 'till you find out who was killing you. I felt like a massive tool after that.

Most of the time a Needler-wielding grunt is a joke, but when your shields are gone EACH needle takes a single blob of health. Ouch!

I was playing TF2 on a Crit server, and a demoman did a Grenade jump, blowing himself to pieces. BUT, his "Scrumpeh" bottle flew all the way across the map, and hit me in the face just as I was leaving spawn.

Ah yes, a giant rat in Morrowind. In my excuse I was 10 years old, the weather was bad so I couldn't see much and it snuck up behind me. And once I saw it, I tried to kill it but it just wouldn't get hit.

got killed by an imp in runescape ages ago. came out of the wilderness after fighting like 4 dudes in a row, no food and low health, and i was running to the bank and poof, imp was in front of me. tried to run past but it killed me.... shameful. i quit rs after that.

My own grenades. Just think of any game that has grenades, a grenade launcher, or rocket launcher. Somehow, I've killed myself with them.

Also, in Modern Warfare 2, I somehow managed to kill myself with my own throwing knife. Don't ask me how, I'm still trying to figure that one out.

That throwing knife thing should be an achievement, lol.

Not embarrassing as such, but I was playing GTA:SA, and gunning down some Ballas Foo'. Quite happily running around with a nice SMG, then I die. From standing around the train tracks too long... One must have spawned when I wasn't looking.

I also got killed by a bunch of wolves in DA:O once because I accidentally forgot to select other party members when I ventured forth. SUDDENLY 20ish wolves happened.

I always hate it when I die to standard encounters. Dying is for boss-fights only.

Back when i played WoW, i was boosting a friend through rage-fire chasm (a lvl 10-ish instance) i was lvl 40 or something, i would prolyl be able, to fight every mob in the instance at the same time if i had to, but i died due to falling asleep and running into the lava.

Back when I played World of Warcraft I found out that a friend of mine also played, he had a high level character on a server different to my own so I decided to start a new character and meet up with him. I was pretty low level when we met up so for a laugh he challenged me to a duel, needless to say he creamed me in a few blows but in an act of pure cheekines he had subtlely moved the fight off the road and into the open area of things like low level creatures.

For those that haven't played WoW if you lose a duel rather than dying you're downed to a few hp, as I was only on a few hp I was obliterated by a snake that was levels below me.

Also in various Halo games, I've been killed by my own vehicle after having exited it and no, it isn't just Banshees several hundred ft off of the ground.

Earlier last night, I found some weird ways to die in Uncharted 2. Along with getting my back broken by being blown up by grenades, at one point, as I died, Elena yelled out "Drake!" and a random guard yelled out "He's dead!" in a perfect deadpan timing. Someone was watching as I was playing and, though it was thoroughly embarassing, it was still incredibly hilarious.

I accidentally blew UP my cousin up with grenade in the coop for Rainbow Six vegas 2. We stacked up to breach a room and i accidently lobbed a grenade right at him. As for me i once bailed out of a plane in BF 1942 on the Battle of Britain map. As i was parachuting a way i was hit by my own plane.
Also in our D&D Underdark game i forgot the consequences of the Earthquake spell in an underground setting nearly killed one of the group members and totally blocked off our goal since i callapsed the fucking cavern. Luckily i was able to turn everyone ethereal.(Portal domain from the Forgotten realms underdark book) Another friend who was a 1st lvl barbarian raged and fought a horse. It nearly killed him.

I died on the first part of Half life 2 EP2. That part just after you get the gravity gun and you walk up the hill to the train car and you have to blast the doors open. that door on the right that doesn't open, if you push against it and hit it with the gravity gun at the same time, it squishes you... or at least it squished me
