I am going to say when I cracked a rib rollerblading. The problem wasn't the cracked rib. The problem was noting being able to breathe for about 2 minutes. That CO2 really likes to burn your lungs if it hangs out too long.

Funny you should say that.

I had a water birth, with no pain releif. My Daughter was tiny, but my good god that did not help the matter at all.

Owch.
Really? I have a coworker who did that and was texting her friends while she was giving birth.
Your co-worker is a legend! I remember texting while I was in labour and they were filling up the pool, I then lost signal and my life ended and the pain and beating my boyfriend for putting me through this started again

...spinal tap when I was fifteen. Worse than being shot (and that's from experience).
Oh my God, how did you get shot?!

OT: I think that the time when I split my leg open on a stone wall. It took about 30 stitches to patch up.

Cricket bat connecting to my face. It's the worst pain I can remember.

I'm sure breaking my leg twice at the same time would have hurt more if I could remember the experience.

Abcess under one of my bottom front teeth. It was made all the more fun as the infection underneath was coming from the one tooth BUT the amount of gunky badness meant it was effecting three other teeth that were around it. It also didn't help that it really kicked off on a Saturday night leaving me waiting until Monday to get it sorted.

Actually, tell a lie, that was the second most painful thing, the first was the dentist's intial injetion into the infected area. Fuck me that hurt, I left finger imprints on the dentist chair where I gripped it and, I'm not ashamed to admit, the noise I made actually made someone in the waiting room feel ill. Go me.

(For the purposes of comparison, it's worth noting that those experiences beat appendicitis, a broken elbow, dislocated middle toes and torn wrists/knees/ankles to the title. It REALLY hurt.)

She is a rather....forceful/abrasive individual. She was back at work (as a waitress) within a week of giving birth and was working until 2-3 days before the birth itself.

Having two wisdom teeth removed. They had to put 2 and half times the normal does on anasethetic before my jaw went numb. Although having read some of the other post I feel I have got off lightly.

I somehow cut off the tip of my little finger in the hinge of the bathroom door when I was a kid, it was one of those moments when I didn't feel any of the pain until after I pulled my hand back and saw the blood dripping everywhere. Then it was very bad, but at least they were able to fix it. Though, I'm in lesser, but constant pain for the past many years due to a carpal instability in my wrist, and over time that has really worn me down and might actually be worse despite having adjusted to it being normal.
...Wow, and despite that you still managed to make kickass TF2 items. I salute you.

While going tubing, I fell out and smashed my hip against the water and, as I was going quite fast, I fractured the bone and could barely walk for several days.

I was just diagnosed with stage 4 non-hodgekins lymphoma cancer with a tumor sitting on top of my heart, but days after my initial hospital visit, a tumor no one knew about on and in my intestine ruptured and spent 4 hours with the equivalent pain of a gunshot wound to the belly from what the nurses told me. I was breaking out in a cold sweat from forcing myself to stay awake since I was convinced I would die if I let myself pass out.

Had emergency surgery and a two week recovery where I was kept from eating for one of those weeks. By the end I was so hungry, that while I was watching No Reservations on TV where they were using brain in a sauce with stir fry somewhere, I thought it looked like the most awesome thing in the world and HAD to have it.

Just over a year ago I had pleurisy which if you don't know is s swelling of the lung lining so it gets trapped between two of your ribs, its completely harmless and goes away on its own after a week or so but by god it fucking hurts. I was crippled in pain when I woke up, it got better of the course of the day but the next morning it's be back again.

The main concern was I had no idea what it was, when you can barely move because of a pain thats in your chest you worry. Queued for 3 hours in A&E, got x-rayed and wired up to a machine to be told to go away and take paracetamol... Fun times.

I somewhat enjoy pain. So, I don't know if I count. But a few months ago, I pressed a lit cigar into my hand for about seven minutes. I stopped feeling anything after about two and a half.

Oh, I also got shot in the knee-cap with buckshot by some drunken idiots while I was out hunting. And, I once broke my collar bone completely through in two places in a lacrosse game. One piece was floating around in my shoulder, and another went straight through the skin and was sticking out a little over an inch. But, those pains were not that bad, and there are people on this thread with way better stories.

Probably when I shot a bow at a trash can and it bounced off and hit me between my knuckles. So pretty much nothing interesting.

Never had excruciating pain before. I tore the ligaments in my leg when I was 7, that was pretty bad. My first tattoo was on my chest (bad place to start with) and that was a *****. Every tattoo since has felt like a feather in comparison
