I somehow always manage to break my game in that almost every enemy is easily beaten. I don't even do it on purpose. I beat the archdemon, on nightmare, with just my character, no party and no huge spells.
...How? Please tell me! I need help on that fight...
Depends on your character. I had a mage. Considering you don't do what I did and face him off alone like a loon, you can have three/two mages (yourself included) in the party. He's immune to a lot of stuff, but not paralyze (though it takes less). Have a rogue at the ballistas, mages spam paralyzing and if there are party slots left, a warrior guarding you all.

When he flies to the secluded ledge, make a Storm of the Century or an Inferno or something similar. That's where he dies for me, which makes the following cutscene a little odd.

I defeated it, personally...well, I had a lot of mana potions, a huge amoung of Magic Points and some of the most destructive spells in the game. One of my fireballs could take out a pack of darkspawn (horde?). And usually Alistair with them. I wish I could have had some sort of achievement (Killing Alistair for the 1000th time!)

For me in final fantasy tactics
it was when i had to fight 11 level 30 monks..my highest on the field was 29 and you can only deploy 5 guys...needless to say i got the shit punched out of me
so whats yours?
Wow, almost ninja'd by the OP. The most one-sided fight I've ever had in a game was also from FFT. For me, it was the boss fight at the end of chapter one. I had over-leveled to the point that my black mage had a level 3 Ice spell, which killed the boss in one hit. It was pretty darned funny.

There was also the time I went 50-0 in a game of Shogo: Mobile Armor Division, but I've told that story several times on here. Basically, the other two players thought they could play it like Counterstrike, when the game had much more in common with Unreal Tournament. Cue a slaughter as I sought out their little camping butts and killed them, because they had one shot at best before I knew where they were, and the few one shot kills in that game were really hard to hit an experienced player with. Cue angry claims that I was cheating. The best part? I barely even qualified as a mediocre player. The poor noobs I was up against sucked that bad, precisely because they were new and hadn't taken it online before. Which is kind of strange, when you consider this happened around 2007, and the game was released in 1998.

Well, there's a game called TF2 right? Well, if you play it on Oceanic servers than you know how 1 sided some games can get. Just recently, like a day ago everyone except one person in their team of 16 people had at least 1 domination on our team. Plus half of their entire team had more points than our TOP guy. I wish Mr.Autobalance visited me more.

Hard to choose one, the first boss fight in the first level of Demon Souls was pretty unfair. But if I had to choose one it was probably wandering through a mmomrpg as a mage and stumbling across a level 70 mob who, needless to say, ripped me to pieces.

Also Fallout New Vegas, it was Jake in the Red Corner and the Boomer's missiles in the Blue corner, and the fighting ring was a few kilometers squared. So after hearing that the xenophobic Boomers fired upon anyone from outside their town I thought to go all Chuck Norris and run across the field up to their town. BOOM! BOOM! MY ARM! Then I was destroyed with no legs and one arm with my glasses shattered so hard that my Medulla Oblongata was filled with glass.

I tried again with more Stealth until I was seen, so I then tried Chuck Norris style and I ran up a hill, missiles blowing up behind me, and I jumped off the hill as a missile blew up at my feet, I flew 100 meters in the air and landed on my face, I was hit again and broke my arms and legs. When I got to the town they welcomed me with open arms and didn't even mention how they exploded my arms so hard my RADIUS AND ULNA WERE STICKING OUT!

Demon Souls. First boss in the tutorial. You have absolutely no chance of beating him the first time, one hit will kill you. Only a pro could win.

Recently in Dead Space 2.
I was in a really long spacious hallway, when I was attacked by a Brute (who is pretty much just tons of human corpses fused together to make some extremely powerful monster for those who haven't played dead space).
I had gotten by generally okay with the first, but used most of my health kits. Suddenly, ANOTHER FREAKING BRUTE CHARGES.
This fight I didn't come out of so well. I had no ammo at all besides a few Plasma Cutter shots, I was on the lowest stage of health. I was trying to find something to kill me so I could restart the checkpoint, BUT IT JUST AUTOSAVED.
Then, in my wretched condition, I get attacked by 2 advanced slashers, 3 normal slashers, a pregnant and a lurker. I then had to repeat this stupid fight 10 times before I said "Screw it." and played something else.
Funny thing, I'll probably get it on my first try tommorow.

Kefka as the final boss in FF6. Down to 4 people, knocked the whole team done to 1hp then followed up with a magic attack on everyone at once. Didn't even get a hit in and made me fight the previous 10 minute boss fights all over again.

Next time around, I just spammed Quick and Ultima and equipped an item that droped all mp costs to 1. Beat him in one turn and over 15 Ultima's. Now that's what I call revenge.

In my favor:
The fight against Zathrian in Dragon Age: Origins. I used my Templar's ability to dispell surrounding magic and then pounded at him along with the freed werewolves. He went down in less than a minute.

In my opponent's favor: A fight in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I was playing as Wolverine, Juggernaut and Venom. He had Cable, Captain Commando and Strider Hiryu. The most damage I did was getting Cable to 55% health. He didn't even use Strider: He killed Wolverine and Juggernaut with Cable and destroyed Venom with Captain Commando, without me getting in one single strike!

Any fight in AC Brotherhood. You can kill a dozen guards in one combo. I really hope they raise the difficulty for the next AC.

Most one-sided fight in my favor (exclusive of things like sneak attack criticals and cheapo one-shottings:)

The one that jumps out at me was just how easy the Legendary Cazador went down in Silver Peak Mine. Level 30 + 12.7mm SMG + Entomologist + tight, confined space = not only did the Legendary eat it quicklike, but so did the four (!) other Cazzies that thought they could get in on the fun. Spray, pray, have prayers answered in glorious wasp-killing fashion. Afterward I was like "that's it?! Legendary, my ass. Legendarily WEAKSAUCE AMIRITE?!?!?!

Most one-sided fight against me:

I've told this story before, but a glitch in New Vegas had hilarious---and lethal---results for me. My level 18 character was cleaning out the Radscorpions east of Goodsprings and west of I-15 (the Yangtze Memorial and surrounding environs, basically.)

You know how there's an abandoned shack right by the memorial? Well, let's just say it wasn't abandoned. My sneak status inexplicably went to [CAUTION], followed by A FUCKING DEATHCLAW emerging out of the shack! All I had on me that had any chance of doing some damage was a 10mm SMG. NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH.

Any time I play a game fighting game with someone who's really not a gamer at all. Not only do they suck but I feel like I become incredibly better due to the fact that I'm not worried about having it turned around on me.
Or World of Warcraft when I started on a player versus player server and got killed ten times by a level 80. Boy did they teach me not to play player versus player servers.
OR Star Craft II the first five games I tried playing protos and each one the enemy did a zergling rush. I still don't know how to get around that!
Any game that has to do with level grinding (final fantasy, Pokemon, star ocean Etc etc.) have been either stupid impossible fights or super easy fights depending on how long I've been running around in circles. Final Fantasy Tactics War of The Lions in particular got on my nerve because they lined up like five really easy fights then gave me the option to save in a spot where I couldn't go back, and faced me against a boss at least 10 times stronger than every enemy before. I went from killing everything in one hit and only really needing one guy to clear a level to not being able to do damage and dieing in one hit. Talk about a difficulty skip, I put that game down then and I've never picked it up again.
One sidedness in fights just seems to happen allot because allot of games just aren't looking to balance those kinds of things. Actually I think it can be used rather nicely because it can force the player to stop for a second and actually look around rather than just blaze through the game without enjoying it, or it can give a player a goal, or it can allow a player a sense of all powerful awesomeness when they murder everything terribly.

Almost forgot, playing Battle for Middle Earth, or Halo Wars, and amassing such an army that I can just attack move to the other side of the map and laugh and the cock-shaped army on my minimap as it wipes the battlefield clean.

Once when I was playing an online JRPG, I was on a team consisting of about 3 LVL 9-12's and we were up against 1 LVL 15 with a bazooka and a flaming crossbow, our team died, it would probally seem unfair on the other side, it wasnt. It was pretty weird =P.

In my favour:
My second run through of crisis core. Downed Sephiroth with 2 costly punches.
Kinda just left me feeling a bit disappointed after getting killed so much by him the first time.

In theirs:
After recently buying Blazblue, decide I'll work on training with Taokaka.
Fight with her a few times, learn a couple of combos, then decide to do the whole 10 fights in a row thing.

Get to either fight 9 or 10 (can't really remember which) with few problems.
Then get slaughtered by Hakumen.

And I mean slaughtered.

I would have lost >20 first to 3 matches in a row against Hakumen that day.
Didn't help he could use his finishing moves as often as he wanted of course...

I did improve though, from fighting him so many times. I went from a consistent 0-3 to 2-3.
But still never ended up beating him.

The prick.

Most one-sided fight against me? Anything where you get put in stasis or there's a move that disables you until you get back on your feet comes to mind. I have bad memories of Alex Mercer vs. Elizabeth Greene on hard coming to mind. Seriously, the final boss was easier.
Really? I found that boss remarkably easy... Bulletdive from 50 stories up with musclemass can kill anything ^_^
