Most of the top weapons in Soul Calibur 2 were stupendously overpowered, doing things like double damage, big ass vamparism, fast regen, and ignoring blocks among other things. Sure, each had a downside, but nowhere near balancing the things. Yeah, Nightmare's Soul Calibur eats vertical breaks more... has anyone ever witnessed that happen?

Fully upgraded Elves in BFME?
I..fucking..hate Elves!! the entire Rohan army was one overpowered unbalanced faction in that damn game. Remember peasant rush? or even the 60 second cavalry. Being mordor or isengard meant you were fucked before the game started.

Oh!! and dont forget Eragorn...Elendeil!!! fuck you you Eragorn!!
lol i have 2 say if you got a full army of rohirrim cavalry then u won the game
Peasants vs Spam-happy Orcs.

Fun times!

Another overpowered item: Any gun in any realistic FPS.

+10/+10 vorpal bastard sword on a female halfling child, while using that anti-smite thing that Blackguards have.

Awesome.

Gravity Hammer from Halo 3: I understand the need for decent melee weapons, and I'm not denying that it's fun to use... But c'mon, you could flip a Warthog with that thing if you timed it just right. It's insulting.
Let's not forget about it's ability to send rockets back to their owners. Fun.

Planetary Assault Carriers, [http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x113/illmatic2609/Screenshots/CnC3%20Tiberium%20Wars/Scrin/PACs.jpg] From Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath. Those things ruined my multiplayer experience, man.

Also, the Fuel-Air RPG, the MOAB, and the Nuclear Bunker Buster from Mercenaries 2 are all worthy of making this list.

damnit. But that is true that fucks everything up. More so in the original doom than the new ones.

Not really IMO. it used a lot of ammo, and only dealt damage to enemies you could see. I am assuming you are referring to doom/II, and not Doom 3.

My favorite overpowered weapons are from the Castlevania series. In SotN, you had Alucard's Shield combined with the Shield Rod. Instant game breakage as you dealt shit-tons of damage while healing yourself. You would kill Dracula with it by holding the shield out and just running around the room jumping back and forth. TOTALLY broken.

The other was in the Aria/Dawn of Sorrow games. The Cliam Solas, or whatever it is spelled as. Freakin' huge screen coverage, as it covered at least a 90* swing arc, holy damage, so just about all enemies are weak against it, and easily obtainable in the "Aria." Not as broken as Alucard's Shield, but still fun to use.

The Fierce Deity's mask from Majora's mask. Sure, it's hard to get (you have to collect every single other mask first) and can only be used in boss fights, but it turns all bosses, including the final one, into pathetic pushovers. Aim, shoot a couple dozen magic sword beams, boss dead, game over.

Or, maybe the "Mega Mortar" object I made for UT99, which repeatedly spits giant mortars with a velocity precisely calculated to land exactly where you will be when it gets there. It pretty much obliterates anyone not hiding underground, and is destructible only in theory.

The spell I made in Elder Scrolls IV: Morrowind, The Wrath of the Gods. 5000 Damage Health, 5000 Fire/Ice/Lightning, Drain Health 300pts/sec, and to top it all off a nice 200ft. area effect. It raped my computer and I was forced to spend the next three days nursing it back to health with some soothing ointment.

Custom oblivion spell
100% weakness to magicka
100% weakness to lightning
+ soul tap

Apply this spell on target, finish with lighning mage staff. self recharging game breaking pwnage.

DISCLAIMER: have to do mage guild quests at high level to get best staff and complete a fair few to make custom spells.

In fallout 3 I thought chinese assault rifle manually spammed to the head pretty much raped anything and took away any challenge up to death claws. but it was funner to just sneak and get a sneak attack headshot with my blackhawk or something.

SW battlefront two didn't have over pwered. just ridiculously easy. i used the pistol to hit some guy a quarter of the map away and i have an itchy trigger finger so he was dead before he knew what the feck. also did it in number one. too easy. also there is collosus in xmen legends 2. once i got him in the second half of easy mode, i kicked my other members out of my group and didn't use them at all through the rest of easy, easy again, medium, and hard. i was a fecking juggernaut! ironically, juggs was the only character i never used so he was the lowest leveled char. working on number one. mysteriously, more of a challenge. its so backwards. o well. ive rambled enough. if you want me to do a review of one of your old games, please tell me and i will have it done in two days. if you want a referal on whether or not you should buy a game, i would also be one to tell you.

Hammer of dawn in Gears of War 2. You haven't laughed until you've chased the enemy team around the map with it.

LOL
Anyways...
Weapons:
The fully upgraded Peacemaker in Jak 3, easily clear out a room.
The Golden Gun in any James Bond game, do I need to explain?
Skills:
That meteor skill you get in Conan where you stand in this teensy-weensy safety circle as fiery death is rained upon your enemies.
Trances from FFIX (Kuja is a great example of this)
And the Rick-Roll.
Hmm... items... items....
Potions of any shape or form, I mean enemies would totally rape the average Diablo 2 player if it weren't for that inhumanly fast grab-unplug-gulp movement that we are so unable to explain.
Lets be honest, when you have the fully upgraded peacemaker, you can just use the second one and then blast everyone floating around in the room, far more fun!
