For that, Satan has prepared a special place in hell for you.

OT: The Simon. You know, the little thing you have to click the colors in the order they flash?

Annoying, and people say it's the best portable gadget invented.

Threads like these. Far too often it's just full of people who insist that if they didn't get the point of a book/song/movie/game, there clearly IS no point. A work isn't overrated just cuz you didn't like it.

Truthfully? Just about 99% of anything relating to or worshiped by pop-culture. Whether it be pop music, film, TV shows, hipster tech (i.e. iPod, Twitter, Facebook, etc), or vidja games.

Now don't confuse me with some indie hipster. They're just as "comformist" as any other pop culture group. They're just more pretentious about it.

The Beatles. They were just druggies... I mean some of their songs were nice, but not that nice. Nowhere near that nice.
First of all I hate you, you little *****.

Facebook for me. It's boring shit that you could just as easily talk to people about outside the house. Unfortunately the damn thing has spread like wildfire.

I find a lot of things very overrated to be quite honest with you. I think I am just sceptical of anything "popular" but here we go: The Avatar film, Johnny Depp (even though he was OK in "Pirates of the Carribean), Tim Burton, The Beatles and the England football team
I more than agree with this. Has anyone ever noticed that while he plays his one type of role well....he plays the same role. over and over and over. The eccentric weirdo.. every time

Friendship! Over!

Well, technically we were never friends, and technically I mean nothing by this. In reality I was just responding to you as a means by which to lead into my point, which is ...

Dogs are awesome but I find cats are extremely over-rated and the only redeeming quality they have (being cute) isn't very common, as most of them are actually ugly and/or evil looking.
No, good sir, now our 'friendship' is over!

Cats are so wonderful and cute and fluffy! Especially kittens. They're so tiny and adorable, and their tiny mews (for they cannot rightfully be called meows) are so soft and cute...

I've have the same old cat for about 12 years now, and he's as loyal as any dog. When I come home, every single time, he's in the same spot ready to meow at me when I walk through the door. He follows me around and is very often around me in whatever room I am whether I pay attention to him or not. Hell, he even figures that my bed is rightfully his.

Better than any dog, like my dad's. Annoying little alarm clock, and far too clingy. The bastard can learn a few things, but so far it's only aided him in 'justifying' whining even more! The bastard will whine at any chance he gets and it's all far too annoying. I hate that damned thing...
I Just gotta say here that Dogs are hardwired to show affection to the "Leader of the Pack"/Alpha. Most of the time, that is their owner. With Cats, cats show affection because they actually feel it for you, not because they are compelled by their biology to do so.

I personally think all this "X is so overrated" business is overrated, especially in threads that are supposed to be aimed at fans of X. Yes, we get that you don't like something. I personally think "overrated" is the most ignorant term in the world, considering it is all opinion and by saying something is "overrated" you are automatically declaring all people who like X incorrect and/or sheep.

I was thinking about this whilst reading the thread, well not so much Halo 3 as the entire series. Not meaning to sound like you're A-Typical Halo hater here, the games aren't bad, just not that great either.

It's already been said though, there's so much Halo hate around lately it's quickly becoming underrated, strange what becomes "cool" on the 'net :/

As for my own idea... Toast, that gets alotta love, it's just hot, dry bread :p
READ the books before you hate the series the books are MUUUUCH better and give you an idea of what the games SHOULD BE. anyway for your toast comment I will say your obviously eating it wrong because while its hot you take the soft butter and cover the toast with it and when its hot and melted you eat it. Perfection really.

OT id have to say television is overrated and so is basketball. I mean thats REALLY lame basketball...
Firstly maybe I should clarify that with "series of games", rather than just "series". I have never read the books and as the series was coined in the world of games I can't say they made me want to read the books either. Secondly I don't recall the part where I said I hated them, and reading back neither does the forum post apparently (I believe my exact words were "the games aren't bad, just not that great either" it's right there in the quote, honest). Thirdly that's not Toast that's Toast with butter, I simply said Toast, which unless someone changed the definition recently is, simply put, hot and dry bread (Call semantics if you want but I'm still right).

On a side note I've had a pretty terrible day so if all that sounds snarky it probably is, I just don't care at the moment :p

Funnily enough, me and a couple of friends talked about that not too long ago, when we watched Edward Scissorhands (even though it is a good film) and then we watched Alice in Wonderland (which in my opinion was pretty....meh). It can also apply to my beef against Tim Burton. They do the same thing over and over, and Tim Burton also uses pretty much the same actors.

Ahem, I suggest you keep that kind of opinion to yourself. We're here to rag on things that are widely accepted and popular, not to piss people off... Wait...
