hmmm how about...

Sir Daniel Fortesque's Arm

KUDOS and Puppies to anyone who gets that reference and which game
The medieval series and yes that was a terrible weapon. The magic sword was the best imo.

The most pathetic would be the starting knife in Primal. It did about 1 damage.

The fucking Knife in Farcry. sure, knives can work in shooter-heavy games, Counter-Strike proved that, but Farcry increases the ranges significantly, reduces hard cover, and introduces a large number of foes that specialize in hand-to-hand combat, can leap 50 feet, and can kill you in two hits, assuming you have full health and armor. So, to quote Yahtzee, if you actually use the knife you'll die more often than the Nameless One in a fucking blender. And you'll get no kills, because the guys that don't specialize in close combat can actually aim and wear armor. The pistol is a runner up, but you can actually kill a couple people before you find a better weapon and never touch the thing again.

Alternatively, every weapon is of dubious usefulness in Fallout 2, as I successfully finished the game without ever using a weapon (and still killed every enemy I came across). Granted, it was a little tough, but it turns out with enough focus on critical hits, punching a guy in the balls can be quite lethal even if they're wearing powered armor. On that note, I really DON'T want to think about instant-kill criticals that occur when I do target another man's balls with a punch.

Also, the "hold-out" blasters in KOTOR; since no one reacts to you being armed in the first place, what the fuck is the point of having a weapon that is harder to detect?

Oh yeah. The Machine Gun in any Mechwarrior game. I mean, really, you're running around in a giant mech, shooting other giant mechs, do you expect an anti-infantry weapon to be of ANY use? (I actually tested this. I loaded up a 75 ton mech with nothing but machine guns and ammo, and tried to take down another mech. Thankfully, I'm good at dodging; I actually lived long enough to see that hitting them with every bullet I had did nothing).

Yeah that has to be the worse. There cannot be a worse weapon than that.
Um. I've actually gotten several kills with Poke. Given that I can't aim the bazooka, it's actually fairly useful (I hit my own worms 50% of the time with the bazooka; Fucking wind!).

All the weapons in FEAR.
None of them can kill a nine year old girl, what the fuck? Gary Glitters cock kills children, so why can't a submachinegun?
Really? I actually liked all the guns in FEAR (the original. FEAR 2 somehow turned them into piles of shit). Of course, when you shot at Alma, she was a motherfucking spirit at the time, so should you really be surprised a gun doesn't kill a ghost?

I know it's pretty obscure, but anyone tried to use a bow in Mount&Blade? I'm pretty good at shooting things in games, but I couldn't even hit a horse with that shit.
Ditch the bow and go for a crossbow.

Or just use throwing axes. XD

I can actually hit with it pretty often (mario kart on SNES) but only on other players. Somehow I can't hit computers, but I can sure piss off my friends. Usually with ludicrous banked shots that I didn't even line up; somehow luck causes these to hit something like 75% of the time. I pull the same bullshit in Rock and Roll Racing by hitting other players across the entire map.

Oh yeah. The bow in Morrowind was fucking useless.

The Razorback, anyone?

Halo 2's pistol, sheerly because of the stark contrast between it and the Halo 1 pistol.

Any weapon in BF: Bad Company that doesnt have a grenade launcher attached to it. Best weapon in that game is the screwdriver.
Haha I agree there.

But probably the most useless weapon would be the blowtorch in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat...
It was fun to dismantle enemy tanks with it though.

The severed arm you get from killing Gimble in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
It was actually a decent weapon if you spec'd out for Melee weapons. Crap if you didn't, but then all melee weapons would be crap as well. The Saturday Night Special was a massive piece of shit in that game though. It was pretty much there only so that the enemies using it wouldn't hurt you too much. You couldn't make that gun effective no matter what you did.

The Klobb from Goldeneye...

I mean, it just sounds stupid!

Also, the Halo 3 pistol. I don't think Bungie could have made that weapon any more useless. First they took away my scope. Then they made it weaker, but faster (so I could duel wield it and go Charlton Heston on their asses).

Is there any point in picking up the Halo 3 pistol?

Goldeen in SSB
o lol

Seriously, that was a total waste. What about Mew, though?
sorry, not entirely. you can throw the pokeball at some onedealing a good deal of damage. its more of a disappointment when Goldeen come out.

I think the 10mm pistol in Half life 2 episode one. I shot the same zombie with all the rounds you can hold and it still ran toward me.
no ofense but did you hit it?
cuz its got something like a hundred and twenty bullets possible
I'm pretty sure I did. That yellow-green ick was coming out when I hit him. it might've just been a fluke with the computer and all but it put so much distrust in me I never used it again.

I still think the Halo 2 pistol was worse. The only point of using that was to dual-wield with the plasma pistol to get easy kills. But then, if you did that, people would get pissed at you for using the "noob combo", so it wasn't really worth it. The Halo 3 pistol at least did some damage, even if it still sucked compared to Halo 1's.

It seems to be something about sequels and pistols, actually, because the other one I was going to say was Half-Life 2's pistol. I know HL1's pistol wasn't brilliant, but it was very accurate and did a decent amount of damage. I just found HL2's pistol useless.

The "noob combo" was more often than not Plasma Pistol/SMG, not Plasma Pistol/Magnum

That's a point. It's called the magnum, and yet it does barely any damage.
Ironic juxtaposition or just inept naming, anyone?

The toy Megaman gun Nerf thing in Dead Rising...did it actually kill anything?

Spray paint in GTA SA was kinda useless too.

Sorry if someone's already said these (don't have time to read the whole tread)

The KRAKEN in Crazy Ivan, fairly sure it did absolutly nothing to anything other than those little x-wings.
The pig's trotter from Hexen (if you get "porked")
About 1/2 of the weapons on Silent Hill 4
