Yea, this was before I started watching Terminator, Hollow Man, and The Shining- movies that expanded my fear/comfort zone, yet effectively killed my dreams.LetheanLilith said:aw, really?G1eet said:Oh God, thanks for bringing up repressed memories.LetheanLilith said:hmmm.
.. Have you all seen The Thing?
whatever that ..thing.. is.
I used to have nightmares about that amorphous demon for years when I was younger.
Somehow, I always ended up being eaten.
I'm a horror movie junkie, but movies can't scare me.. I find horror movies pretty hilarious actually![]()
True, when I posted this I totally spaced out on the Yuuzhen Vong, they are really scary (their organic technology gave a giant ***** slap to the galaxy, they tourture and mutilate them selves for pleasure and sacrafice people)Vuljatar said:The Ssi-Ruuk are pretty scary, but I have to agree that the Yuuzhan Vong are scarier.TheMatt said:Isn't it the Ssi-Ruuk? Of the Ssi-Ruuvian empire? And come on, the Yuuzhan Vong had them beat for crazy and scary real easy.
The hounds of Tindalos are definately in contention. I'd go with the Nightgaunts, though. There's something extra-special scary about a faceless horned imp who grabs you, lifts you into the air on leathery wings, and then uses the razor-sharp barb at the end of its tail to tickle you-- creating a sense of terror unease and violation.Ishnuvalok said:The Tyanids were eating worlds and tabletop armies a decade before the Zerg showed up in Starcraft. I originally hated them because they reminded me of the Zerg
But I'd have to say either Tyranids or the Flood. Maybe the Daleks, but it's a stretch.
For me, it's also gotta be the Tyranids, either that or the Hounds of Tindalos. Jesus christ those things scare me.
I'm with you.DeathWyrmNexus said:I'm rather fond of the Xenomorph as a horrifying race.
Haha, almost every dream I can remember having in the past half a year had to do at least slightly with a game..G1eet said:Yea, this was before I started watching Terminator, Hollow Man, and The Shining- movies that expanded my fear/comfort zone, yet effectively killed my dreams.LetheanLilith said:aw, really?G1eet said:Oh God, thanks for bringing up repressed memories.LetheanLilith said:hmmm.

Now the only dreams I remember having involve Left 4 Dead, with my friends as the three other survivors. Now if that doesn't scream fanboy, I don't know what does.

Okay seriously most terrifying race has to go to the Vogons from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy... why?
Because they are an entire galactic army of accountants and I hate accountants.
