I'm with you, good sir. While it may not be the best, this hilarious and fantastic game has been sooo overlooked and gotten very little love.Dragonizer said:I'm chiming in with:
-Deadly Premonition. It didn't have the best budget, so the graphics aren't the best and I think that's mostly why it got passed by so much. Happens to be my favorite game, though.
lol fair enough, that's happened to me before. You just have to stay on top of them and single out one of them.Father Time said:I think I might've upped the difficulty, not sure. But anyway when I'm only fighting one monster it's fine but when I'm fighting two... those bastards double team me. One starts beating me up while the other goes for health and then they switch roles, so all my damage to them doesn't last long.captaincabbage said:really? I never had a problem with the single player. I always thought it was smart to retreat and get health, at least it makes it more challenging. It's better to play survival mode to get the tokens tho lol.Father Time said:I own that game, although the single player is way too frustrating when those freaking monsters know where every last health pick up is.captaincabbage said:Has anyone else played War of the Monsters?
It was such an epic game and it was fun as hell to boot. It had a great selection of monsters and locations with excellent destruction. It still feels like you're throwing a giant gorilla through a tower when you play it today because the destruction felt right, and that counts for a lot. You could even play two player with a friend and two AI players as well!
If you have a PS2 and like destructive brawler style games, pick it up if you see it.
I'll definitely be the first to say that this deserves a PS3/Xbox360 remake more than most other games. I'd just love to see it in full high def and with more monsters, new levels and a whole new game engine.
But when it was at a more even level (like multiplayer) it was so much fun. Hell I remember me and my brother playing the demo for it so many times. And that was just two monsters in one stage.
It's the type of aggravating that makes you want to throw the controller at the TV.
no problem man. I'm just jonesing for a HD version tho. I really want a fourplayer splitscreen brawler.Father Time said:thanks for the advice, if it doesn't work there's still multiplayercaptaincabbage said:lol fair enough, that's happened to me before. Easily the most useful move in the game is the 'down triangle' combo. It's an instant uppercut attack that throws enemies across the map. It is awesome.![]()

I am truly sorry. I feel like that weird moment when you accidentally called your teacher "mom". Too many people couldn't get past the controls, but I've always had the belief that you get used to any game's controls, so I just trekked on ahead. I also loved the controls. I felt that it added to the humor of the game and actually enhanced it.Dragonizer said:Good woman, you mean.PeePantz said:I'm with you, good sir.
