The Most Underrated Games of the Decade

but it was the most underrated game of ALL TIME so deserves at least a sly mention

I gave up on that game after my lightsaber permanently glitched, and refused to damage all enemies during the underwater level. Started a new game, and the same thing happened. Congratulations on completing that glitchy mess of a game; how the hell did you do it?

Aquaria (Not sure how big it is, but I LOVED that game, and nobody I know has ever heard of it)

That about covers it for me. Not the most imaginative list, but I thought all of those games deserved more.

Well, the original Fallouts are pretty underrated. I know the first doesn't fit into the last decade, but I think that 2 and Tactics do. And the Disgaea series. That series is completely brilliant; it's like the Half-life 2 of the tactical RPG genre; and yet, it doesn't receive anywhere near how much praise it should. Hell, if Yahtzee played it, he might actually like a JRPG for once. He sure as hell won't like it as much as Portal, especially since he won't even like Portal 2 as much as Portal; but he'll probably find it to be damn good compared to all of the Final Fantasy bollocks they force 'im to play every little once and a while.

I thought Star Wars Episode 3 was fun.
But then I'm a sucker for messing with the canon and slicing body parts off Storm Clone Troopers.

I was always under the impression that decades started on a year ending in 1, the first decade being years 1-10. Thus, 2011-2020 would be the 202nd decade. But even assuming that you're correct that the decade began in 2010, wouldn't the last year of that decade be 2019, not 2020?

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. It was one of the best GameCube titles out there, much better than its deformed offspring on the Wii. I've yet to see anyone else acknowledge its existence.

The original was great in every way, and the music is some of the most memorable from a game. I still would like to know why square removed EVERYTHING that made the first one so unique from its offsprings. Compared with the fact they will never make a FF7 remake, I have only one conclusion: Square hates money.

That could explain The Spirits Within.

Or why they keep sending money to IGN. What other explanation could there be?

Has anyone else played War of the Monsters?

It was such an epic game and it was fun as hell to boot. It had a great selection of monsters and locations with excellent destruction. It still feels like you're throwing a giant gorilla through a tower when you play it today because the destruction felt right, and that counts for a lot. You could even play two player with a friend and two AI players as well!
If you have a PS2 and like destructive brawler style games, pick it up if you see it.

I'll definitely be the first to say that this deserves a PS3/Xbox360 remake more than most other games. I'd just love to see it in full high def and with more monsters, new levels and a whole new game engine.

I own that game, although the single player is way too frustrating when those freaking monsters know where every last health pick up is.

But when it was at a more even level (like multiplayer) it was so much fun. Hell I remember me and my brother playing the demo for it so many times. And that was just two monsters in one stage.

really? I never had a problem with the single player. I always thought it was smart to retreat and get health, at least it makes it more challenging. It's better to play survival mode to get the tokens tho lol.

Count the years. 2010, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. That's 11 years, not ten. A decade consists of 10 years. Something doesn't add up properly with your logic.

So... we really are in another decade now.

EDIT: I forgot to respond to the original topic so for the response to the OP, I can't think of any. I would say Jet Force Gemini, but that's the 90's.

Spore: Okay, I know, they marketed it to kids after gettign us all exicted, and it wasn't an epic game, but it was amazing in scope and scale, it's editors are unmatched PERIOD outside of mods, and it has an entire GALAXY to explore.

Dark cloud 2/ dark chronicles

Sonic adventure 2 battle: everyone says all 3d sonic games suck, but this was one of the best sonic games EVER.
