Probably any button in a fighting game that taunts, I'll taunt the guy once I've killed him.
Taunts hurt man. In the original Guilty Gear, Kliff's taunt is his projectiles. And in TF2, the pyro can one-hit kill you. Dying from a taunt is a baaaaaaad way to die.

Didn't you use the select button with the start button to restart your ps(2)? Just hold start and select for a few seconds and it would restart or reset? Or did I just make that up?

Uhm, most useless button, eh?
Other than blinking in Alone in the Dark, I'd say the back button on the 360 controller, no idea what that does.
Oh yeah, he really trolled there.

The Pause/Break key on my keyboard. Never have I pressed it save for once, and it did nothing. I was expecting it to yano, pause the game. It did not. As such, it is the cleanest key on the keyboard: forever may it's uselessness shine.
Press the Windows Key + Pause/Break

Okay so there are much fewer uses but back in the day when DOS games were all the rage and Windows 95 crashed if you incorrectly setup the sound card and tried to play a DOS game, the Pause/Break key had alot of function.

Another useless key: Whats the point of the Music Note key on the PSP?

Haha.. I also just finished Bioshock last week.. Frikking amazing game..
The plasmids you need are, Incinerate, telekinesis and the electrisity one, no other plasmid needed.. And fully upgraded Shotgun is without a doubt the best weapon..
Towards the end of the game I started to use Winter Blast because it is just fun. I agree those other 3 should always be available. Also the wrench is not to be overlooked. If you get all the slots opened up and the right tonics you can do a LOT of damage with one hit. Electroshock an enemy and 1 hit to the head is usually a kill.

Did anyone ever have to use any of the directional buttons on the N64 controller in any game besides Turok or South Park?
"The New Tetris," which was very much the same as the old tetris, used the D-pad.

Hey, the 360's back button is very useful if you're developing games for it. Where else are you going to get a button that you're not going to include in your control scheme that you can use to instantly quit the game when debugging?
The PC? With 100+ buttons there's got to be SOMETHING that performs the same function as Alt+F4, like, say... Alt+F4?

Oh snap xD

OT: The "Pause/Break" button on a keyboard. Never Ever used it, and haven't ever known it to be a default binded key in a game.

The reload button. If you have a chance to reload then you havent been fighting (and dying) hard enough!

I could name any number of them, but there were a bunch of early PS3 games that horribly mis-used the SixAxis feature of the controllers. I hate it when devs shove a gimmick down your throat. Then again, Sony probably made them :).

The windows key. Nobody uses that. And if you do, shut up, no you don't. Click the start button like everyone else.

Yeah, i kinda thought it might do something along those lines xD But i thought of mentioning the scroll lock. Well i guess scroll lock is useless outside of a game, and pause/break when in one.

Any other button..? Erm.. There is one button on my phone which i am certain does absolutely nothing.

Sorry, but I can't top that. The blink but was without a doubt the most annoying button in any game I have ever played.

Do you need to keep pressing that all through the game?
No. Thank God, no. Mainly in the beginning of the game when you're in First Person Mode and your character is a bit sleepy (to clear your eyes from getting blurry). After that, it's pretty useless for the remainder of the game.

Why do I suddenly think about Abe's Odyssee? He had a fart button as well that did nothing special.

And oh yeah, those crosshair zoom buttons that just zoom in that tiny bit, without giving you the full crosshairs. If you want to give the gamers a zoom button to shoot more accurately, then give us the full crosshairs instead of teasing us with a zoom that's not even more accurate than when we zoom out.
