my one was Threads. It made me wonder if it would be really worth it to survive a blastwave. (NOTE,doesn't have to be about a movie, manga or book. Can be anything else.)

I could make a cheap shot at Twilight, but I'll be mature about this...

Pendragon, cause it reminded me how much the masses are fucking morons

The manga Monster. It taught me to be cautious of who I help.
Death Note made me realize the scum that's out there.
Scott Pilgrim has (so far up to Vol. 5 [the last volumes not out yet]) taught me that nothing is as good as you think and that everything will eventually fall apart in the end, and only the best people/things in life will be there in the end, and even then it is doubtful that even they will be there forever.
Scott Pilgrim also taught me that sometimes you need to enjoy the simpler things in life because
Scott was in a nice little relationship with Knives Chau, then Ramona came in and Scott fell for her, dumping Knives. Then Scott had to fight 6 evil exes, alienating most of his friends and having Ramona run away on him in the process. And he still has to defeat the 7th evil ex, Gideon

The high octane nightmare fuel pages on TV Tropes. I'm afraid of the notion of fear itself now, despite that a lot of the examples don't really get to me.

No, I meant that it made me realize that while Light was evil and went and fucked it up by killing innocents, he may have had the right idea and maybe killing scum is better than giving them a trial.
I LOVE death note though, so don't worry, I would NEVER say something bad about it.

The Adventures of Fanboy and GothGirl

I can't really explain it, but I started thinking differently after I read it.

i'd have to say fahrenheit 451, just because it manages to hit so close to home
heart of darkness because it made me realize a lot about "truth" and its impact on our lives

and yeah, i'd have to say death note. it's just an amazing manga for how it manages to portray our world and our sense of justice

Midono, something made out of chocolate and paper.... and says it has cake but really doesn't. What I am getting at here is that weirdly, no movie or book or anything has really made me want to hate the world to be honest.

Toradora!

Light romance novel, very pretty, very... Orchestrated and precise, very happy ending, made reality a depressing place for a while.

Holy shit yes. Especially the ones categorized under "Real Life". Lost me a night of sleep, and I still get shivers when I think of them.
Also, 1984. It was absolutely horrible to think that a society like that could even exist, where the average human has absolutely no rights and it's quite impossible to pose any sort of resistance. The only consolation is that I think it would be pretty much impossible for such a civilization to appear. People would realize what was happening, right? Right?

After Deathnote I couldn't stop watching other programs and thinking about who Kira is, why nobody is using a pseudonym, and who was going to have a heart attack.

The Stand, by Stephen King because it reminds me that even if the world goes crazy and 99% of the people in it die--those left will not all be trying to survive. There will be those who still try to harm and control others but now they can get away with whatever they want.

In a bad way? Nothing that I can really remember, I appreciate most if anything of the things that have changed my outlook on the world. They may however have changed my veiw to a more pessimistic one if that's what you mean.

just a really funny story about death note this was a few months after death note ended. there's this odd girl in my graduating class named Leah who always carries around this black notebook. when ever we did something to her she would always take out this notebook and write something so a few months later I watched the series and was scared shitless.
