When you say 'nearest', do you mean the thing whose centre of mass is closest to my head, or the object which it would take the least time to come into contact with when travelling directly from my head, assuming a constant velocity throughout?
The first one would have to be my trousers, and the second would be my chair.

The nearest item is guitar picks. I could eat them, and I hold one in my mouth alot if I need my hands free, but I wouldn't really suggest trying to ingest them.
Can I eat my hair/glasses/glasses case/ covers/clothes/ or own body parts? Yes. I don't necessarily get it because anything touching me is obviously tied for closest.
My glasses case, and probably not. Eating my glasses case would itself be a reason for going to SpecSavers.
