The first episode of Doctor Who, with the new Doctor just finished.
How do you all think it was?

Personally I think he was alright, but will take some time getting used too, I do rather like the new assistant though.

Its different I'll give it that but I'm still not sure if I like the new doctor.

Do like the fact the doctors new companion is a stripper though.

Indeed, try to keep this spoiler free, or use spoiler tags.

Well I just have to say: Matt Smith did a great job. I still have to get used to his face, but I really liked the style of his character.

Sadly, some of the dialogue was a bit hard to follow. He talks even faster than Tennant at times, and certainly mumbles more. I think I'll use the BBC Ceefax (or whatever it's called ) subs next time.

Very pleased with the new interior of the TARDIS, not so pleased with the screwdriver. The latter just goes against tradition.

O and the trailer right áfter the episode was even more awesome. I mean, Spitfires with lasers...in space?! What's thát all about?! I'm more curious than EVER about the new season

*cough*

'scuse me?
O come oooon. Sometimes she's a nurse, sometimes she's a nun, she 'goes to parties' and they 'have a laugh' as she puts it. Doesn't get any more obvious than that eh?

Even better than the fact that she's a stripper, is the fact that she's gorgeous. Red hair, Scottish accent, górgeous eyes, nice legs. Yup, forgotten about Rose already.

Awesome. Very awesome. New TARDIS and sonic screwdriver will take some getting used to though.
Also on a completely unrelated note Amy Pond is well fit.
Can't wait for next week's episode, sounds like it'll be more traditional Moffat fare.

I loved it. I've always watched Doctor Who because it's a family tradition almost, and I've kind of liked it up until now, but I can tell I'm now going to love it! It feels so much better.

I loved the fact it's trying to appeal to adults as much as children now too, with the promise of scarier episodes, and I loved the joke about the internet history. Plus I'm looking forward to the new weeping angels episode, because that was the only previous Doctor Who episode I loved!

I was so confused when anyone continued caring about the show after Christopher Eccleston left.

Current doctor who is nothing but fanwank.
I disagree. Eccleston was awesome, but I think Tennant beat him in his last series. I'm eager to see what Matt Smith brings to the table, because he's kind of like Eccleston and Pertwee. An actiony Doctor.

Because Tennant is 'teh sechs'?

Current doctor who is nothing but fanwank.
Actually no. Most people were (maybe still are) very doubtful about Smith. I think he's holding up very well though, but we'll have to wait and see for more. Can't wait until next week.

My fears have been assuaged, Matt Smith did a very good job and i'm confidently looking forward to the rest of the series now. Also, all the little references to previous series were a very nice touch.

I'm in a good mood, so I'll forget I heard that.
