I was never the total nut about it, but I remember I got addicted to Red the first time I played it. I had no clue what I was doing, but my lv 40 Charizard FINALLY beat Misty.... and still was obeying for some dumb reason haha.

but yeah, I was a R/B/Y guy. Tried getting into G/S/C but was kinda fail on that, may make second attempt cuz I'm playing them with my decade younger brothers for kicks and giggles.

I stopped at Emerald. Was a good game.

However, I would love a remake of Gold and Silver, they were just so big and good. Two worlds are better than 1!

The biggest problem with the new pokemon is that it makes it far too difficult to actually "catch em' all." Eventually they're going to have 5000 pokemon, and an 8 year old will lose his life, just as WoW addicts lose their lives, trying to "catch em' all."

For the most part, I am not fond of the new pokemon. It seems like they are running out of ideas and so the newer ones, by and large, are similar to or evolutions/precursors of older pokemon. However, the newer pokemon are saved by one simple thing....

Chimchar uses Throw Flaming Poo....battle ends in awesomeness.

The original 150ish pokemon were defiantly the best, as each new monster was a fresh idea. While I have stopped playing for many years the new pokemon seem to lack originality and are only slight variations of the originals.
