You all don't get it do you?

Just like Mass Effect 3 turned me gay, The Last of Us made me hate women!!!

It's a conspiracy! Those guys set me up!

Wow. The amount of sexism and internalized misogyny in the comments alone is enough to make you gag. Once again, a legitimate criticism is being brushed aside as "over sensitive" or "not applicable to the game's message" or whatever you misogynists can dredge up from your gross fedora insides. Yeah, it's a good game, but if you had taken the time to even read this article or understand what it was saying, you would understand that it is a long winded, frustrated sigh from a person who understands the inherent sexism of the video game industry and how The Last of Us is another game to lump into its male dominated black hole. Also, in regard to the comment made about the rape joke and how the author should "get over it"... go fuck yourself you disgusting piece of shit.
Wait wait wait, " Legitimate criticism "? I'm sorry when is it wrong or a problem to make a game with a male character? I'm sorry but this is as Legitimate as someone bashing the bible for making Jesus a man instead of woman.

Because while were at it I can literately criticize every game for not making male characters female and female characters male and dogs not being cats and cats not being mice and mice not being chickens and so on and so on.

Oh imagine if Joel was a woman, that'd be fun!

I think big sister-little sister relationships haven't been exploited much by Western video games yet. I can only think of Heavenly sword.
Some of that shows up in Beyond Good & Evil but it's mostly about big sister-little brothers/sisters.
