Stargate because Sg-1 is my favourite TV series ever and Atlantis and universe are amazing too.
I'm with you, but especially SG-1. Probably because I am a HUGE MacGyver fangirl too. Dammit, RDA is so awesome... ;-)

Forgotten Realms. God, I just love that setting. I am going to DM a session soon, I just have to spend another $100 or so on books.

SILENT HILL IS MY GOD. I AM A SLOBBERING FANBOY FOR WHOM THERE IS NO HOPE.
This. I'm tired, very long week, so this sums up my feelings for that franchise. I get all girly and excited if I even see that title even mentioned anywhere in a gaming article.
I'm pretty sure I audibly squeal when I see Silent Hill mentioned. I may also jump up and down smacking my hands together like a possessed circus seal.
"IT'S LIKE THEY 'GET' ME, YOU KNOW?"

I probably need therapy. I have the same reaction about Radiohead. I am a gentle, squishy teddybear of a man, but if someone insults Radiohead, my soul is filled with smoldering, righteous fury...
I know I get giddy and I feel bad for anyone that's around me when I see any news about Silent Hill, so I can relate.

No you don't, Radiohead is just that awesome. Anyone that says they suck should be punched in the face and deserve such actions for their blasphemy. Karma Police and Paranoid Android are my personal favorites.

DC and Vertigo comics, Classic Films and right now I think I'd call myself a (reasonable) Mass Effect fanboy. Won't froth at the mouth and yell at you if you don't like ME and I know its flaws but I have to admit the universe sucked me in.

Well when it comes to games it would have to be Final Fantasy XI (purely because i was on it for 3-4 years and i was a mentor from lvl 30 to lvl 75 which was the max before i left) and i'm starting to get into XIV so hopefully i'll be just as good as that.

When it comes to me computer hardware though i have to say i'm an OCZ and NVIDIA Fanboy (but i have been known to go over to ATI sometimes), i also guess you could say i'm an Intel fanboy too having only had Intel Processors (Pentium 3 Yeah i'm sound old now lol (im 20 xD), Pentium 4, Celeron, C2D, and my baby at the min is a Q6600 OC'd to 3.6GHz), but i am thinking about an x6 end of this year (or x8 if they come out by then lol).

OK actually, I just got into this newfangled "try new things" fad. For the past decade or so, I've been with my PC and Half-Life 1, and thereby have only just now been exposed to games that don't look like amalgamations of squares.

OT:
VALVe and a half-formed fanboyism of MGS, Fallout, and D&D.

VALVe because of HL1's awesome narrative, gameplay, and how well it works on crap computers.
also Half-Life 2 was awesome because of "................."............................................."

Metal Gear Solid (not Metal Gear, god no) because of its good gameplay and PC port.

Fallout because of gameplay, story, and similarity to D&D when the party isn't there.

Dungeons and Dragons because of flexibility.

So, if we go around destroying those who insult Radiohead, does that make us the Karma Police?

Goodness, that's an amazing fan club name...

Halo. I am the biggest Halo nut you may ever see. I've played every game, read almost every book, seen the anime dozens of times, have many toys, and I've read Halopedia. Yes. The whole thing. Ask me any question and more then likely I'll know the answer and I'll even go into the background of it.

Why you ask? It's one of the first games I ever got seriously into. No other game has captured me the way Halo did. I played some games before that, but Halo was my turning point into gaming. It will always be my favorite series, even when I'm old and withered.

Let's see. I own an N7 hoodie. I have multiple Mass Effect Wallpapers, some of which I designed myself. I'm currently using a Mass Effect Firefox persona that I designed myself. I own a framed Tali mini-lithograph (the frame was my wife's idea). I also write Mass Effect Fan Fiction.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I like Mass Effect. *Considers his Avatar* And BioWare in general.

Edit: As for why? I was a huge Star Trek fanboy (until Enterprise & Nemesis) and I love RPGs. Mass Effect is like what every Star Trek game should have been. Seriously, Paramount needs to contract BioWare to make them a game.

Futurama probably. I was massively excited for the films to come out because I was certain the sales meant the show would be renewed. Lo and behold, it was.

Not that I collect swag or anything. I just really like the show. The only thing I have that counts is a mechanical, windup Bender. It cost me something like forty bucks. Swag is too expensive for me!

Also, Luigi is massively underrated.

I guess that would, and that would be awesome.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've completely memorized almost every episode, I know obscure facts like Buffy's street address(that was only spoken out loud once), I know the names and details of more Buffy-verse demons than most of the Scooby gang, and... yeah. I'm obsessed with it. My friends and I have made a drinking game for the musical episode. We've all seen it so much that it's become our Rocky Horror.

My friends also often challenge me to the Buffy game that they made up to try and stump me. They name a word, any word, as long as it's not a proper noun, a kind of species, or a name of a technology that was invented after Buffy aired, and I have to turn it into a Buffy reference.

I have never lost.

I have a problem. D:
YES! I am so right there with you. That show got me through puberty with the sense and strength to take all the crap and drama not seriously.

My final tattoo I got was of a Kladgah on my shoulder blades as a semi less obvious reference to the best of shows.

I also should add any game of Bioware (yes even DA 2 because while for them it sucked I have played through twice already) and any TV series Joss Whedon has made. My husband can tell when I've watched it because I fall into Buffy speak a bit. :)

Street Fighter as a series first and foremost, Street fighter 2 is what got me hooked on games period.
Specifically Ryu as a character, from before I knew that that game had a story to after i have watched just about even Street fighter movie/tv show (expect that legend of chun li bull shit Im not that blinded) He has always just been the perfect martial artist BADASS

And Im always a sucker for a square RPG still trying to play every FF (Beaten 4,7,10,12 currently play 8)

also Big Marvel Fanboy, Even Bigger X-men fanboy, I watched all the TV shows/movies and collected the comics for about 5 straight years, haven't had the money lately :(

Also a Hip Hop head mostly undergrounds rappers, but Lupe Fiasco All Day!

And Battlestar Galactica is the best TV Series ever. No question

TES, Morrowind anyways, is essentially the perfect game to me. I love the world, I love the freedom, the character creation, the leveling method.
Uh, yeah, that. My Little Pony, too.

Touhou! I hope I go to hell when I die. If you know Touhou, you know what kind of hell I mean.

I've never seen a more dedicated and batshit insane fanbase ever.

I wouldn't say 'biggest fan' of but I'll be damned if I don't fucking love Starship Troopers. I remain adamant that it's responsible for a great portion of military science fiction and always will.

I'm a HUGE fan of Batman, and I have always been. He has been my favourite hero since I was a kid, and he still is to this day.

As to why I'm a fan of him? Well it's really a bunch of things: I love his rogues gallery, I think that Batman has the best villains of any hero, superhero or not. I love the fact that most of his villains are (Like the Bat himself) human, and that alot of the villains are actually relate able without having to set your mind to World War 2 mindset or Cold-War mindset for that matter. They are, as the Bat, timeless. I am well aware that he also has his share of silly villains who don't really translate well to the modern day Iron Age of comics, but generally speaking he has the best catalogue of villains out there.

I also love the character himself, the stoic loner who prefers to work alone, even if he has his little crew of bat-helpers (Robin, Alfred, Oracle etc.) he only works with them because he "saves them" (well he does the Robins, not Alfred or Oracle) and he has a sense of duty to them. But the stoic loner isn't all that is to him, he really does care for the aforementioned people as he cares for Gotham. I also love how he has the same madness in him that his villains have.

I could literally go on for pages and pages with why I love Batman, but I think this will have to do for now :)
