I pretty much agree with this list entirely.

I loved BioShock- dont really understand the hate for it. GLAD to see SSX3! I probably would have replaced it with Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3, but Im glad to see those arcade-style sports games I love.

though I think I would change Ninja Gaiden out for Shadow of the Colossus though.

Otherwise, a really good list- one that I actually agree with

I like what the list was trying to do, but some great games have been missed off.

Halo 3, controversial but the halo franchise is essentially what made people buy original xboxes. It is a fun game to play single player, online or with 8 people squeezed into my living room in front of a couple of tvs.

CS has been missed off, which spawned the multiplayer success of COD, which I personally Love.

I thought Oblivion would be there over Fallout since it was so much deeper, which is what I look for in an RPG.

I like the inclusion of WOW & the Sims since they are two of the most successful titles of the decade.

Great games have flaws, nothing is perfect but in my opinion a great game should offer endless replay-ability and enjoyment, isn't that what games are about? Also Bioshock was good but no.1 game of the decade!

Oh man I forgot about SSX 3, I had so much fun with that game, why did I ever sell it again? Oh yeah, cause I thought I was done and the 360 was expensive. Boy did I mess that one up, oh well, if I had bought a PS3 then I'd have a tiny hard drive and wouldn't have been able to play SSX 3 on it either. Good to see Katamari up there too.

One question, possibly stupid, it this list serious then? Only I know the Onion does parody but I don't visit the site much, and they might be using some sort of incredibly clever and subtle comedy I can't detect. It's very possible, I'm aware.

CS:S? The source engine? Come on. That has been my favorite game over the past decade and spawned many of my personal favorites.

Bioshock as 1 is hogwash. Rockband is good, but I think that it shouldn't be that high. The fact that it took Guitar Hero's guitar concept and added to it the voice and drums. Well done. ADVANCE WARS!!! YES!!! Haha that is one of my favorite games that I've ever played. It's just fun!

Some games I haven't even heard of but I'm glad Bioshock was #1, I've been teetering on whether to give it a rent/buy.

I had a quick scan down that list and as an avid gamer I was shocked that there were 3 games I had never heard of, and I don't want to sound big headed but if I haven't heard about them, they're hardly going to be considered the best games around since I know most games that come out.

Halo, COD and Half Life all failed to feature so that list is pretty useless and I realise some of you most likely hate Halo or COD or whatever, but they all changed gaming, mostly for the better so in that sense they are probably the best games out. When you have sports games on a list as a best game but nothing really popular and main stream except Bioshock, than you're off. Also, Bioshock is not the best game. Sorry to all you fans but it just isn't. Was a great play, don't get me wrong but it shouldn't have gotten the top spot, not sure what should have but it shouldn't. Heck, in my opinion of 'good games' only 2 of the games on that list should have made it.

Just my opinion.

The only entry I really agree with is Ninja Gaiden, but then again, that's a very special game for me.

Wow I hate most of those games so much.
Most of them seem stupid, but I agree with Portal, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, World of Warcraft (I personally don't like WoW, but if it has 10mil+ users it must be doing something right), and Bioshock

ROCK BAND ?? #4?? *leaves*
This was pretty much my reaction too. I mean seriously, if you're going to include a music game like that, you've gotta go with the first Guitar Hero. The same people made RB, so you could probably squeeze in a mention of that too. I guess RB was the first to do the whole band thing though, which appeals to a broader audience or something.

The original CS came out in 1999, though 1.6 did not come until 2003, but I don't really know their rules.

I am surprised that Advance Wars was the only strategy game up there. Company of Heroes? Civilization 4? And I am surprised that the Valve games they chose were Left 4 Dead and Portal instead of Half-Life 2.
And no Baldur's Gate II?
