When coming up with names for things I spend about an hour fiddling with letters until finally something sounds cool. Thus, Xeros. Later I found out it wasn't that original as I've seen plenty of "Xeeros'", "Xearos'", and "Xaeros'", but I don't care. Most everywhere I go "Xeros" isn't taken yet. It's mine I tell you! MINE!

I used Riobux for some random things, Rio came from the song Rio by Duran Duran and the "bux" part was just something that I thought would work.

My X-Box gamer tag just came from the good old method of "think of a colour, think of an item that would work with it, combine".
A time-tested method :) good job

Mine comes from a few places. One was a statement I randomly said when a roommate of mine came to bug me in the middle of a game I was playing, to which I replied:

"Can't talk... saving princess."

... and the other was from a discusson I had with a friend about whether or not World of Warcraft was a good game (which I won't get into here) and he asked me, "Well what would YOU rather be doing in an Online RPG?" To which I answered:

"I'd rather be... I don't know... saving the princess or something."

Then after another deep emotional conversation about romance and relationships with a female friend of mine, she called me "One of those knight in shining armor types, always out trying to save the princess."

Soo... once I acknowledged how ingrained the concept of "Princess Saving" was in my psyche, I just kind of mashed it all together.

I'd always been a Mario fan and "The Princess" (i.e. Toadstool, err Peach, whatever) has always been one of my favorite characters, so I have (cheaply) ripped off various incarnations of Mario as my avatar.

After that, I noticed how much "I'd rather be Saving the Princess" sounded so much like those license plate covers (I'd rather be fishing, golfing, etc.) I ordered a custom license plate cover that says "I'd rather be Saving the Princess." People love it.

I was playing super smash brothers emulator one day due to boredness and I was playing kirby, my friends said that I was like kirby(full of hot air). Then we played another game then there was a myrimidon, he was an offensive warrior. Then one of my friends said hey we can put them together, so it became kirbydon(full of offensive hot air).

I don't know how I came up with Artimage. Playing D&D one day, my manly, pious, Paladin character. It just kinda came along. Then, after using it on chats and stuff online when I first started net hopping, I found some people had also come up with it on certain sites. But nowhere does anyone else seem to be attaching my birth year(84) to it, so that's my back up.
Artimage or Artimage84 with a circular dragon emblem as the avatar, that's me!

Ranorak, I mistyped Ragnarok, badly, but I liked it.
The names that are misspelled but still sound good are the most original

The name i usually have in forums and stuff is neoswed which came from my brother who had deyoswed, so i just changed it the d to an n (which is the first letter in my name) but it just sounded the the same as neoswed so i removed the y. I also happen to like The Matrix and I'm Swedish.
My other tag is Arzul. I got that one because I needed a name for my character and I was really into Diablo 2 at the time. So I started to mess around with the name Izual and eventually came upon Arzul which I have used for everything ever since.

My gamertag is Chocolates. Death by chocolate.

Maquette is a French word which means scale model and therefore has artistic nuances. I also think the word itself looks nice. 8D

my steam user name that I use most of the time is LOTHAR OF THE HILLPEOPLE.
I took it from Mike Meyers Saturday night live skit.
This one however I got from mixing a word I used to use to confuse the shit out of people

Lord_Joe comes from Suikoden II (silent protagonist I named Joe - soldiers refer to him as Lord Joe - I enjoyed it) and the 23 is my football number. My Xbox gamertag is what my team calls me. Easy!

I have 2 online identities i frequently use...

metalmmaniac - I got this when i was really into heavy metal stuff, still am, but listen to more variety than just metal now. I added the extra 'm' for good measure so it was more likely it wouldn't be taken.

dumbis4life - 'dumbis' came about from me and my brother wanting to curse but obviously my parents didn't like that. so, instead of dumb-ass, we resorted to dumbis. and dumb is 4 life, always made me chuckle as well

yes, both of these are from about 10 years ago, and i still use them. haha

Rebel748... I dunno, it's just my thing. A random number generator together with the fact that I'm from Cork made that one my almost permanent handle.

Killer-Corkonian... Again, from Cork. The Killer thing just had a ring when put before it to me. Besides, couldn't really call myself "Corkonian".

Rebelisgood... My first WoW character name after the point in time I realised that giving my characters ridiculous names outside of an RP server was pointless, perhaps taking a cue from Mike Krahulik, or "Gabe", if you will, who chose the name "dudefella".

Xarion... I needed a handle for stuff that didn't like numbers eventually, and even though I haven't used it on anything yet, I like the sound of it. The origin: I stole it from some dude who's a friend of Jerry Holkins, or "Tycho". I saw it in a news post put in one of the Dark Horse compilation books.

Spartan Z52... My randomly generated UNSC service tag from Halo 3, I really like the way this sounds for one reason or another.

Teachers all the way through primary school called me lazy. Mine is just an altered spelling version of it. Also when said wrongly it is "laze" which still has a similar meaning which I like. Also Snaydog is part of my last name and dog, which is the name a couple of friends gave me. And occasionally "redbeard" cos people find it weird I have dark brownish hair but a red beard.

I have two that I use variations of if I have to - coldalarm and onlyshallow.
coldalarm - originates from a song called "The Oscillator's Hum" by Frog Eyes
onlyshallow - Contraction of "Only Shallow", the first track on My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" album.
Riltia/Litrildia - WoW Characters, of course.

I'm less and less musically inclined, however, so I'm not sure what my next will be (if I need one).
