I like number 92, Uranium [http://www.chemicool.com/elements/uranium.html] , and especially the isotope Uranium-235. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranium-235]

I think Francium or one of the other alkaline metals because they can cause massive explosions when dropped in water. I think that Bigitonium is funny, it's an artificially created element that has is so big it can be seen with something less powerful then an electron microscope. When the scientists were asked why they made it they said it was because they just felt like it.
lol, i have never heard of bigitonium before so i googled it and the ONLY result was this thread xD you made a funny new word!!

Edit: OT my fave has to be hydrogen. Love me some nuclear fusion!!

Strontium. Because it's got a funny name!

Well, I like a lot of them... But potassium is cool:

1) I looks like an eraser after it's exposed to air.
2) It's critical for the functioning of cells.
3) It catches "fire" when dropped on water.

I'm a fan of bismuth, mainly because it looks AWESOME. Seriously, go to the Wikipedia page. A pure enough crystal is rainbow.

Also, osmium and iridium are pretty cool, because they're both extremely dense. I've never handled a piece, but I bet they would make great gags.

"Here, catch!"
"OW! What the heck was that?"
"Iridium."

All for Nitrogen. And here's why:

NO2. Makes cars go fast while burning more air and asking for less fuel.

Even the slightest increase in the atmosphere's concentration in N will cause your fucking lungs to freeze.

It creates cryogenic burns. Talk about antithesis.
That's N2O, otherwise known as laughing gas. NO2 is a pollutant that is responsible for acidic rain.

Back on topic, that's one of those questions that us chemistry majors love to answer. Well, for me it's Hydrogen, because atomic H is the only system that can be solved exactly using quantum mechanics.
That's not to say I don't like the others, but nothing else is quite as perfect

Fr Francium
I love it cause it's SOOOOO reactive that it would explode if exposed to natural air. Guess that's why it's never found by itself. It also made it to the number 5(ish) slot when a friend and I were listing strangest/most awful ways to die (i.e. having some put Fr in you)

Hydrogen. After all it is 75% of the baryonic matter in the universe (Helium is around 24% and the last ~1% is everything heavier than that with Oxygen being ~0.6% if I remember correctly)

Of course the non-baryonic dark matter is interesting as well after all it is responsible for ~80% of the entire mass of the universe.

i have 2:
Sodium (Na) and Chlorine(Cl)
i like sodium because it blows up, and chlorine because it's poisonous.
the best thing however is that when combined, NaCl makes a wonderful seasoning for your plate of chips!

yes, that's right, 2 elements that would kill you if injested make Table salt!
WTF?

Dilithium because it makes warp drive possible (at least in the mind of Gene Roddenberry and millions of Trekkies!)
Or the Beryllium Sphere used to power the NSEA Protector in Galaxy Quest (when in fact, Beryllium is a neutron reflector rather than a nuclear power source)

Vanadium because it can be a whole bunch of different colors depending on oxidation state.
Sodium because it explodes in water.
And copper because it burns a pretty green.

I'd say Potassium (K) because it burns lilac (well, purple, but counted as lilac) in fire.

My favourite compound, however would be Sodium Dichromate (Na2Cr2O7). I dunno why, it's just awesome.

I'd say Hydrogen. It's obviously the best cause that's what most of the universe is made of. At least in terms of normal matter. Lets not talk about dark matter or the totally unrelated dark energy.

Plus, so much energy from fusion! Lots of radiation, too! He3 is better if you don't want radiation!
