I'm sorry Fondant, but the specs on these planes pale in comparison to the F22. Its faster and has better weapons systems, more advanced targeting systems, its more durable and its also far sexier looking than the eurofighter and SU . The only reason we could beat it is because we have the better pilots.

Because if you want peace, you need to prepare for war. It's an endless paradox.

At the end of the day, somebody is going to want somebody else dead, whether it be over a dispute, or the fact that they just don't trust them.
I fear that there can never be World Peace, because Humans, by our very nature, are animals. We're savage, violent, and yet we have the power to make a difference. We can rationalize, and think things through. But we're still animals.
Actually the only "animals" that deibirately kill their own kind are... Humans.
Haha, who on earth told you that? It isn't true, many animals kill each other deliberately, some are even cannibals -- I'd recommend you check out a nature documentary now and then, they're great!

BTW, about this whole plane thing. They should just take all the money and invest it into developing the unmanned drones the CIA are using in Pakistan, they're the future of warfare.

World Peace is a good idea in theory, but as long as we have bat-sh*t crazy dictators ruling their countries through Either Religion or Military Force, it will never come to fruition

Yeah! Sharks! When they go into a feeding frenzy they don't care who they're eating (and I hear they are stockpiling nuclear weapons as well)

It is almost certain that we wont be going to war with any nations with a decent air force for out entire life time.
Let's hope so. I've had a bad feeling about China for a while now. If their J-XX program ever bore any fruit, god help our pilots. And still, you should prepare to fight the war you're least prepared for.
We will never fight china and vice versa. We have too much money in each other to risk that. World powers will probably never fight each other again head on, proxy wars may become common place, as for full on confrontations it might never happen. Money and economics now speak louder than weapons between those nations.
All it takes is North Korea deciding they don't like that nation to the south of them being free, or Russia deciding they don't like Ukraine being a NATO country. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but with all the hardliners in power across the globe, it's hard not to be.

We cant spend 100 million dollars on THE MOST ADVANCED FIGHTER JET EVER MADE, but we can go right the fuck ahead and spend trillions of dollars trying to "fix" the economy not to mention that 1 B-2 bomber costs something like 1.2-1.3 BILLION dollars to make and we have many many more B-2's than we have F-22s

Umm...just throwing this out there; We only have 19 B-2s...
Did you really just call north Korea a "super power". I lol'd.
Actually no he didn't, he was alluding to the fact that China and North Korea have been allies since say...the Korean War? And if North Korea went, to Quote Madness, "One Step Beyond" Then Both China and the United States would be drawn into the Korean War part Two...the Sequel!

I nearly cried when I heard the F-22 had been canceled, because it is simply the coolest plane i have ever laid eyes on.

That title is misleading the F22s not canceled it's just been cut by seven planes. We don't need anymore F22s right now anyway. That's not to say we won't build anymore in the future. Those F15 we use for Air superiority are going to have to be replaced eventually and the F35 can't do everything. The F22's technology probably isn't going to be matched for a while yet so if for some reason we need to build more F22s we can

1) America doenst have the money to play Empire anymore - I dont care whether you are right or left, your broke, and your military empire with hundeds of bases all over the world and retarded idea of full spectrum dominance is responsible for more than half your debt and deficit. The American Empire is finished, and we will likely be heading into a more multipolar world.

2) America has lost the war on terror. What good is a radar-invisible plane when your biggest threat (Terrorists) dont know what radar is?! America has city-vaporizing bombs, but their enemies live in caves. America spends trillions on the latest in technological weapons, but they cant defeat an enemy that uses old AKs, rocks, and little girls that strap bombs to their chests and run on crowded buses. Yes, terrorists dont fight fair, but when America has helicopters and nukes, you cant exactly expect them to line up with their muskets, now can you?

3) This trillion dollar oil raid into Iraq had fiasco written over it from the start (and, yes, we told you so), and now that it has alienated America's closest allies, made it hated around the world, resulted in disaster, ballooned the debt, killed thousands of innocent lives, and otherwise pulverized a developing nation. Most of all, it has been a terrorists wet dream - America has given terrorists more recruits than ever before, with extra motivation, while all your resources are bogged down in an unwinnable quagmire.

4) If war ever broke with Russia or China, the F-22 aint gonna make the difference, because you will be blasting one another with so many nukes that fighter jets will be irrelevant.

In short, America's military is obsolete, bloated, and useless in the age of nukes and terror.
Your post is so full of bloat I bet it would float if I threw it in a river.

No point in arguing the validly of what you said. You have no idea if what you said was true or not, you just repeated your favorite anti-America slogans you have been hearing.
Everything I said was true:
1) American military budget: a bloated runaway that is responsible for 50% of your debt and larger than any 15 other countries combined; with expensive military bases all over the world.
http://www.truemajority.org/images/Pie2.jpg
http://www.truemajority.org/csba/chan_r2.pdf

http://allisonkilkenny.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/800px-us_military_bases_in_the_world_2007.png
And if you dont think that your in debt, you must be on Mars.

2) You failed to catch Osama Bin Laden. You've killed many terrorists, but have created far more than you have killed. Iraq is an unwinnable war. Afganistan is a rugged wasteland that has been at constant war for 1000 years, and somehow you think you can bring about peace with more guns.

3) Iraq: No Al-Queda ties (Lie #1), no WMDs (Lie #2), not a threat (Lie #3), no yellowcake (Lie #4)... I could go on. America lost the moral high ground by launching an evil and unnecesary war; and it the words of H.L. Mecken, honor is something you lose exactly once. I really want to be cheering on America, but for those of us in the rest of the world, its getting harder and harder to find the things that seperate you from the bad guys. I mean your democracy is clearly bought and paid for, and have had at least one fraudulent election in the recent past. America isn't the freest country, you wiretap your own citizens without warrant, put more of your own people in jail than any other country (per capita, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarceration_in_the_United_States ) - mostly the poor for trivial 'crimes' like drug possession, you torture (seriously), and the country is ignorant (1 in 4 dont realize that the Eart revolves around the sun http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/10D2398F-CE57-457A-B53A-E45CB3BB72FF/ , half of Americans dont beleive in Evolution http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/12127 ). Oh, and Iraqi civilian casualties: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War
I maintain that the American people are good people and the crimes are those of your government, corporations, and military industrial complex. But when nearly half of Americans seem to be in full support of the very people that started the Iraq war (and ready to elect a creationist evangelical Alaskan crusader with the IQ of a turnip) its hard to get aboard the America bandwagon.

4) And, yes, I maintain that an F-22 wont be of much help when nations are lobbing ICBMs at one another.

Like I said mostly quoting anti-American slogans you have heard. A lot of that stuff is misleading or false. There is a grain of truth there, but what you are spouting not so correct.

That is as much of an argument as you are going to get from me. You seem very intent on this issue and it is not something that can be argued in a forum especially one about the F-22.

Besides is seems arguing with you would be about as effective as arguing with a brick, well a brick that easily becomes hostile. Yeah I read a few of your posts, you hostile with a lot of topics.

Okay, EMF, I'm looking at the two. They have an equivalent ceiling, and while the Raptor's engines produce considerably more thrust, the Typhoon's weight is nearly half that of the Raptor. The Typhoon has the edge in range and fuel capacity (being the lighter aircraft), and, most likely, maneuverability, due to it having a higher thrust/weight ratio.

The Raptor's supercruise is faster.

Now, onto combat. Both Aircraft are able to destroy last-generation airframes with what seems to be contemptuous ease in mock dogfights. In a straight-up vs. fight, I think it would really come down to pilot and avionics superiority.

However, the Eurofighter is infinitely more sexy in flight.

i imagne that you would be safer from the "terrorists" if you used the money to pay for more less advanced planes that could therefore carry more bombs, as i doubt that the "terrorists" have advanced air to air fighters.

You can keep blaming Bush all you want but in the end, Obama has spent more than any president in history. Maybe we should use more than 7% of the stimulus first.
It's basically a matter of switching gears. Obama inherited a federal government set into massive deficit mode by Bush II. Even Clinton took 8 years to fully reverse the spending trends set in place by Bush I. His first year in office looked a lot like Bush I.

Here, check out this chart [http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_BrNJocQYWtw/R1RGTtWTP1I/AAAAAAAAAAY/l8IcY8aOU4s/s1600-R/national+debt+chart.gif].

The reason why this happened is great mistake [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=neocon&defid=1823810] because of how little the former mattered and how disinterested/ineffective they were at handling the later.

Well, there's not much to do now but suffer with the rest of us. We were conned, straight and simple. Obama might seem in such a hurry to spend right now, but that's only because we're currently set to "hell in a handbasket" mode and you can't change course without exerting force in another direction. I wish I could say we weren't going to repeat this cycle in another 3 or 7 years, but as long as people remain stupid, Democracy remains a breeding ground for the easily fooled [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_protests].

You dont spend money on world peace, money is basically useless or atleast will be.Before we can have world peace we have to fix our own problems especially the USA which is majorly run by the banks not the president(which btw is unnesessary).To achieve some world peace we must rely on technology, better technology.
work = slavery
profit = evil
Technology = freedom(and less pollution)
money = dept
dept = money
.....if everyone payed off all their depts including the government their would be no money ,then how will you pay back the interest the monetary system is set up to fail you will always be in dept.
What the hell is a "dept"?
