There is a strong urge within me to shout "pussy" at any man I see carrying a handbag or wearing really feminine clothing (unless they're a transvestite), but then I remember that I have this strange urge to wear a skirt for some reason.

I have nothing against feminine men really, but there's something primal within me that dislikes them.
Which I guess is the reason why I don't wear skirts.

1. To answer your question, I don't enjoy wearing anything, I just wear the clothes I have.

2. Wearing a silly looking jacket and scarf does not make you feminine.

His fashion sense could be worse.

He COULD dress up in a fatsuit, put on a wig and a maternity dress and then star in yet another shitty tyler perry movie.

All in all, he doesn't look that bad to me. He kind of gives off something like a french college student look, or maybe the look that he often goes to poetry slams and jazz fests. The sad truth is that this outfit is barely feminine, it's just shiny.

From the back, OP's guy's awesome. From the front, he isn't awesome. But hey, that's just my opinion.

You see, men who dress with clothing typically worn by women end up generating a similar effect that women who wear those do.

In general (yes I know there are deviations), Men tend to dress to be cool, to be admirable by other men.

Women dress to be "beautiful", cute, desirable by other women.

So, when a guy wear's a woman-style clothing, it produces the effect that the man seems to want to look "cute", or "beautiful", rather than cool.

Also, people tend to dislike people who don't conform to these styles. Guys don't like guys that try to look beautiful/cute, and (from what I can tell), Girls don't like girls that try to dress like Guys.

Weren't the fashion rags calling that look "metrosexual" a few years ago? Uh, oh, looks like the backlash train is pulling into the station. Toot Toot! ;)

Seriously, though, wear whatever the hell you like. It's none of my business anyway.
Yes but then the crab people were defeated and things went back to normal.

Seriously though, it really doesn't bother me as long as they don't criticize my choices I won't criticize theirs.

It can't be that bad. *Looks at image*. Wow. Ok everyone around him now has license to make fun of this man for the way he dresses. I think this is worse than just straight up drag.
Go fuck yourself.

The hell is wrong with a man getting in touch with his feminine side?
Nothing, but that outfit is just so damn bad. It's basically saying "I'm feminine but I want to express that without everyone knowing" but it's so fucking obvious you can see it from space. It's a joke.
There's something deliciously ironic about you making a statement about an object of fashion on a topic you're ostensibly on the 'opposing side' of. x)
What side do you think I'm on?

I got an enormous rant from a guy who didn't bother to read my entire post to find out that I don't mind if men act feminine.

I think it's ironic though because personally I find people who do nothing but judge celebrities or random people due to their outfits to be lowlife scum.

Although since he is a model I can't really judge him for what he's wearing.
No I read your whole post.

Your second paragraph of tolerance, understanding and compassion just didn't make up for your first, extremely insulting paragraph that was in no way indicative of being a joke.

Oh wow, I've never heard someone complain about gender roles and traits people have. Seriously though, maculinity is a ritual. I tend to ignore rituals that don't involve me showing and getting dressed or having a good cup of coffee in the morning. By the same token, feminity is a friggin' ritual. I'm just however I am, I'm not trying to be.

Soo... waering a scarf and a bag makes you feminine?

Silly me. I should just freeze like a man and carry my groceries infront of my chest, like a school girl, the incons of manlyness.

You know what? Real masculinity means that you do not need constant reassurenace of your masculinity and is best reflect and wasting not a single thought on it.
Ah, the 'I don't need your approval' arguement. I have heard it many times, and while it does have some truth to it, it tends to be cited by people who are insecure in themselves (thus defeating the entire point behind it).

No man law dictates that you aren't allowed to wear a coat and can't use bags to carry stuff like groceries and other items but there is a line between the masculine 'pragmatic' use of these items (I use this bag because it's durable and has lots of pockets) and the 'fashionable' use of them (Well I got it in a sale and wouldn't you just look at that interior! On top of that, it is a perfect match with my shoes and my hair).

So wearing a scarf and carrying a bag in itself doesn't make you feminine, but doing so like the guy in the OP does definately does.
this, the person you quoted heavily generalize it, if you look at the picture and all you see is a "scarf" and a "bag, then you are looking at it...well not wrong, but just in the way that is considered "man-*****"

there is a fine line to wearing stuff that is logical and comfortable, to wearing something that is "O-M-G DID YOU SEE THAT SALE AT *STORE* LAST FRIDAY? I TOTALLY WENT IN AND GOT LIKE, LIKE, LIKE 3 OF THEIR FABIUCHIGUCHIUCHI BAGS, ONE OF EACH COLOR, LIKE O-M-G"

Man that sentence... Did you do that on purpose? You must have... There's no way you could have accidentally done that... That's too much...

I have a deep voice, I use the so-called "profanities" a lot, I'm vulgar, I'm in your face, I have no problem insulting people, all stereotypical traits of a "Masculine manly man," and yet guess what folks, I aint no man.

There is a old English word for this, Ponce.

They are indeed ponce's. they are also male models, ponce hood is mandatory.
Hahahaha, my thoughts exactly.

OT; I don't really think there's anymore people like this around than there was 10 years ago, although they may be more prominent in popular media than before.

It wasn't a joke but what the hell's wrong with hating on an outfit. I wouldn't call him a man-***** though.

Example-
"Man, fuck that tranny *****. I may be okay with guys wearing womens clothing but that fag is just ugly as hell, I hope people harass him and make fun of him, so fuck him."

Do you see how insincere it is to pretend to be open minded by throwing in an insult directly contradicting what you say?

This is what you did. Your first paragraph was a slam against this guy and the idea of being effeminate because you didn't like his outfit, but then you make up for it by saying "Well I am okay with it."

It doesn't absolve you of your first statement, it doesn't make it okay.

You can seperate people into two groups - Male and Female.
Then you can have another criteria, which is either Masculine or Feminine.
Therefore you can have one of the following : Masculine Male, Masculine Female, Feminine Male and Femenine Female.
Here, do you understand now? It makes no difference what you are, so long as you are sure of yourself and aren't a dick to other people.
The point was to ask what you thought of feminine men. There's no need to be condescending.
You didn't understand me properly.
It makes no difference to me what you are, as long as you don't 'be a dick'.

Are you doing like a renegade playthrough of this thread? You've got to have earned like a ton of dark-side points by now.

Insulting? Check.
Hypocritical? Check.
Unrepentant? Check.

What's next? Going for the 100% achievement?
