The Saddest Moment In A Game

..Grandia 2. You have a full barrage of "True justice comes from the heart!", medallions given away from comically dying parents, and the fifteenth character launches into a "Live on! Leave me! ..Just let me speak for three more minutes so I can impart a lifetime of experience to... the people who unfortunately couldn't care less"- tirade - and so on.

And then the Melfice backstory actually turns out to be the saddest thing I've ever seen. Took me completely by surprise.
