I am a polite man. I hold doors open for people, always say please and thank you and am respectful in conversation. However, a lot of people now seem to have forgotten what manners are. Why, dear escapist?
I'm a pretty big party goer, I'm only 3 years older than you. I also have manners, and now I'm hurtStormShaun said:I think it's these douche bag party freaks in my age bracket. They are so annoying and RUDE. While I like to keep my manners instead of giving then up to look like a tool.

Sorry about that. What can I do to help?Froggy Slayer said:I am a polite man. I hold doors open for people, always say please and thank you and am respectful in conversation. However, a lot of people now seem to have forgotten what manners are. Why, dear escapist?
Froggy, if I might say...your statement here is rather vague. The diffusion of politeness across the spectrum of human beings is largely unchanged for a long while now. What you're accusing the general public of is like hitting a dartboard with a sledgehammer. You might hit a target, but damn if anyone knows what you're really aiming for. Suffice to say, I KNOW I've told people not simply base these things on the little gulp of humanity they've met and of the time they were under observation. There's not enough evidence to support the death of polite behavior. There's evidence that people do dumb things and often, but not that!Froggy Slayer said:I am a polite man.
