The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

"If we weren't here? Well to start, the plans for my suit wouldn't be in the hands of some evil bastard, there's a good chance that supers wouldn't exist which means no Union, and life would probably be just as shitty. Not better or worse, just different." Richard answered after contemplating a moment.

"They'd do it anyways, becuase thats there job"

Simon said, almost in unision with Richard and paused to let him finish before continouing his own point

"But when you have the chance for support that may advert the deaths of people under your command, wouldn't you take it?"

 

[Pm0n3y]

"Well yeah, that's practically the reason I joined the Society." Jason said to Simon, looking down at his clawed, armored hand, reminding himself of all the innocents that were killed by his so-called "brethren".

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie remained silent while the others spoke, waiting to find out when they would actually be doing something instead of sitting around talking. She noted that Jason's change into his armour had been fast, leaving her no time to grab her hood before they had gone inside. No matter; a hood of similar design could easily be produced from a plant when necessary.

Tommy was finished washing the last of the soot off his face and looked in the mirror, the swelling was going down rapidly thanks to his healing factor, but it looked like he might have to do without facial hair for the next few hours. After drying his face off he walked out and took a detour to the lounge to find Garrus and give him a note of thanks,

  Thanks for that Garrus, couldn't really see with the fire in my eyes. Also who keeps a working flame shooting gun-ray-thing in a public display!?

Sorry for the long delay in posts folks. Emergency work shift and a few other things shot my plans in the foot

Khrys glances at Aaron and shrugs. "Its a good place to relax. Since we don't have a track or anything."

"Um, okay...now who are we waiting for?" Jason whispered under his breath as he did a head count.

"Gar...Rich, Si, Tom, Kate...hey where's Aaron and Khrys?" Jason said before speaking into his communicator.

"Aar! Khrys! We're gonna beat up drug lords and help out the police force. Are you guys coming or not?" He asked enthusiastically.

Aaron looked up at the clock.

"Oh shit I didn't now it was that late," Aaron said getting off the treadmill and changing clothes.

"Hey Khrys you coming or what?"

 

[oathblade]

Khrys was already moving scooping up her clothes she jogged out of the gym at a fast clip redressing as she moved. She called Jason back "Don't get your panties all bunched up. I'm on my way." She haddn't even had time to work up a bit of a sweat or anything, oh well.

"I'm going to go. We're meeting at the police HQ in central to be briefed before we head out to the meeting in Westford. I'll meet you all there." Richard said before flying off in the direction of the police HQ and arriving less than a minute afterward. He walked into the building and entered the briefing room before taking a seat and removing his helmet.

"Hello gentlemen, chief, my teammates should be here in a matter of minutes." He said after he took the helmet off.

"It was no problem Tommy. Normally the gun is safely underneath a barrier, but I guess that was broken in the quake," he explained before listening to Rich. He sighed, getting back up as everyone started to make their way out so they could get over to the Police HQ.

"Well, looks like someone was in a hurry..." Jason said as Richard flew away.

"So Katie, are we taking my car or yours?" He asked, turning to her.

 

[CounterAttack]

"I'll drive, if you want," Katie answered. "You've been driving me around recently, it's only fair I do the same for you." They walked out to the gardens together, and she said, "One moment," before she turned to a nearby tree and wove a hood similar to her own out of its leaves. She picked the hood off the branch it was connected to, slipped it on over her head, then turned to Jason and said, "Right, I'm ready. Let's go."

Khrys finished sorting out her clothes and slid into her car seat. She looked at the mirror for a moment working up her courage. Lots of things could go wrong but she knew it would work out in the end, it had to. She cosed her eyes and relaxed making herself comfortable again the eyes looking back at the rin the mirror now feline.

Shaking her hair lose she drove into town trying to drive faster this time.

Aaron threw his costume in the back of his car before taking off down the high. As he sped down evading the traffic he noticed Khrys' car ahead of his. She was driving faster than she normally does though she wasn't swerving about.

He pulled up beside her and shouted out his window," I told you that you would get better."

 

[oathblade]

Khrys' ear twitches and she looks away from the road long enough to make a face at Aaron. She fiddles with her com and murrs "Of courrse Im going to get betterr Arron. I have you as a bad example." Not letting on how nervious she was in her teasinly confident tone adding "Rremember to drrive safe, werre goign to the lairr of the beast."

 

[Souldemon8]

"Yeah Yeah were going against some drug lords. If that's a beast then I don't want to go against the Union," Aaron replied.

Aaron slammed on the accelerator and hit a switch activating nitrous as he zoomed down the highway.

She watches him go and sighs with an open channel so he can hear her. "You have serrious issues..I meant the police. I don't think speeding up to the station is smarrt."

Jason watched as Katie slid on the makeshift leaf hoodie.

"The benefits of nature, ladies and gentlemen." He said before an idea sparked in his armored covered noggin.

"Hey Kate, you should have something like this more often, that way you'll always some type of plant life with you (even if it is only leaves), and you wouldn't have to worry about being defenseless in a fight if there isn't any other plants around!" Jason exclaimed as he opened the car door, letting her into the driver's sat for once.
