The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

"Woah." Jason said as the flowers flourished all around them.

As the flowers grew taller, Jason stepped closer to Katie.

"These flowers...they're beautiful, but something in this garden is more beautiful than any flower, at any given time..." He took her hands and moved closer.

"...You." And with that, he leaned in, kissing her longly on the lips.

As he began to embrace her in that garden, he held the kiss, hoping she would kiss back.

Katie kept her eyes closed as she let Jason kiss her. The touch of his lips on hers dulled her other senses, reducing the world around her to little more than herself, Jason and the ground on which they stood. She slowly brought one hand up to his face, resting it against his cheek. Katie kissed him back, placing her other arm around his waist to hold him close to her. She parted her lips slightly, allowing Jason to take the kiss further if he wanted.

Simon suddenly reappeared back in the lounge, a small file full of newspaper clippings and datasheets in his hand. Looking around, he could see no one was in the main areas of the Promenade so he made his way towards the museum, knowing Garrus was in there from before.

He was surprised to find Tommy and Richard fixing up the museum

"Hey everyone. Richard, here are some files you may find interesting"

He said, holding the file out to Richard

Richard looked at his watch after Simon appeared and noticed they had an hour left before the cops said they would need them. He looked at Garrus while he spoke to everyone in the room.

"Time for us to get ready, only have an hour left. Go round everyone else up, I'll get Katie and Jason on my way to my room to put my suit on." Richard took the file with a "Thanks." as he walked away and to the promenade's garden where he saw the two of them share a kiss. He waited a few moments before loudly clearing his throat.

"I'm sorry to break this up but we need to get ready to go. Though it is cute to see young love that is moving so quickly. One date and the two of you are already going towards first base." Richard said neutrally before walking back into the promenade to put his suit on.

Tommy picked up a gun that looks like it came out of a 50's space cartoon. On the side there was the lable "Flame Ray". Tommy turned it around in his hand thinking, This is so cool, this must be a replica of a villains weapon. He flipped it around in his hands for a few seconds like he was a cowboy, and ten began examining it a bit more, looking down the barrel of the gun to see if he could see any mechanisms. Inadvertantly he pushed the trigger and learned that the gun was not a replica, a line of fire shot out and consumed Tommy's head. Tommy panic and began running around the museum trying to whack out the fire on his head.

Jason jumped as the sound of Richard's voice, ending that one moment in time.

"Ok Rich, we'll be there in a few." He said as Richard walked back to the house. Then he turned his attention back to Katie.

"Wow, we,ve only had one date? It seemed like there was so much more. But hey, I guess time flies when you're in love." He says with a smile.

"...And um, sorry about about the kiss. I told myself i'd take it slow before getting intimate, but it's becoming harder and harder to do so each day. But for your sake, I'll slow down if you want me to." He said, rubbing his head a bit.

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie opened her eyes and looked at Jason, thinking hard. In love? Does that mean... he loves me? Not giving him an answer, she mentally stalled, briefly considering the implications. Oh, God, what should I do? What should I say? I have no idea... but the feeling when he kissed me... that was amazing...

She finally said, "Jason... I - I don't know how to answer you... I mean, sure, we're a couple, but... there's just so much I don't know yet. I don't want to lie to you."

"I know Katie, and I understand completely." Jason said, smiling.

"We'll talk about it later. But for now, duty calls." He said as they made their way towards the Promenade entrance.

"Love? are you sure about that?" Jason's conscience spoke out to him.

"I...I don't know, maybe it is, or maybe it was just the hormones talking. Only time will tell." Jason thought back.

Morning everyone. Sorry I wasn't on much yesterday, and today I have to clean all of the house for inspections. This next month will be a bit busy for me (moving), but I'll still be able to post and everything. Just letting you all know.

Garrus started to chew a piece of gum as he waited for everyone else to hurry it up. He was getting tired of waiting and started going around and telling people to head to the conference room. "Last saw Tommy in the museum, let's see if he's stil- dear god!" Garrus yelled looking over at Tommy running around, "Go to the bathroom and put water on it you fool!"

Richard went into his room and put his suit on before heading to the front of the promenade and waiting for the others.He checked the clock on the display of the helmet.

"God damn it, we're all going to be late at this rate." He said to himself.

"Calm yourself Rich, i'm sure they'll be ready soon." Jason said as they approached the Armor plated fellow.

Once Jason walked Katie inside, he quickly peeled away his clothes, showing that his armor (except for his mask) was already activated. As Jason approached Rich again, he just placing his communicator in his ear.

"Ok. I'm ready." Jason said simply as the tendrils that made his mask began to cover his face.

"...Wait, what we're we doing again?" He asked sheepishly.

"We are going to be helping the cops with a drug and arms deal. Shouldn't be too eventful, but apparently the cops want or need the extra help." Richard explained as he looked at the clock in the HUD again.

"Sounds like it'll be fun times for everyone"

Simon said cheerfully as he appeared next to the others, fully dressed in costume.

"Anything else we need to know about the mission?"

 

[blaze96]

"Nope not really, rather open and shut this time." Richard said as he checked the weapons systems and jets out of boredom.

 

[Quad08]

"Ahahaha...right we'll see how that goes"

Simon said with a slight laugh, thinking of all the other times he had heard people talk about 'open and shut' situations.

They never usually went that way

"Don't get me wrong, I'm sure something will go wrong. I just wish they wouldn't call us into it until what ever it is actually happens." He replied as he finished his checks.

"Well, I guess they'd rather be more safe than sorry." Jason chuckled at the Police Force's cowardice.

"Our Policemen are so pitiful! It's sad in so many ways, it becomes funny!" Jason said to no one in particular.

"I wouldn't call them cowards, there are still thousands of crimes every day they are stuck dealing with. We only take one crime a day when you think about it, they do far more than us. I just wish they didn't call us just because they expect something to happen. I preferred to be called in when something has already gone wrong." Richard explained.

Garrus was able to direct Tommy to a bathroom, staying there for a few minutes hoping Tommy was okay. He looked at his watch and quickly ran to the conference room so that he wouldn't be late, hearing Jason's comment and getting pissed.

"Do you have any idea just how low I think of you now for that comment!? Our police officers put their life on the line all the time and it's people like you that treat them like shit. You wanna know why they're asking us to be there? Maybe there might be a super or something and they want to be safe if that is the case. That's not cowardice, that's fucking smart so don't talk anymore shit or I'm leaving you off this mission," Garrus ranted at Jason before taking a seat.

"True, true." Jason said to Richard before he was verbally bombarded by Garrus.

"Christ Garrus, Calm down, I was just stating my opinion, and aren't we entitled to our own opinions?" Jason questioned with a nod.

"Even though, the sheer accumulation of our police force at times, can be pretty impressive and even a bit daunting. It would just be somewhat satifying to know that they wouldn't have to put so much reliance in us when it comes to dealing with our "own kind". I mean, what would happen if we weren't here?" Jason asked.
