The Society of Justice: A Super Hero Roleplay

Khrys flexed her claws pricking Simon's shoulders and stomach for just a heartbeat till she fought back the urge to use them grunting with the blows from his knee. Frustrated she reaches for his leg snarling and trying to sink her claws in to immobilize it.

Richard shrugged before taking a drink of his wine. He honestly couldn't care less about Leland at this point. His day had been shit and he was going to unwind since it was obvious there wasn't going to be another fight today.

His one shoulder now free from the claws, Simon pulled his arm back around, biting his lip to keep himself from crying out as the claws scratched against his injured leg, hoisting his body upright, face to face with Khrys, a smile suddenly spreading on his face

"Having fun yet?"

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie slipped her arm into Jason's to try and relax him; he appeared to be a little stressed. "You okay?" she asked as they walked towards her room. "Did my suggestion scare you? If you're thinking about one thing in particular, I don't blame you, but don't worry. There's no way I'm ready for that just yet." She opened the door to her room with a wave of her free hand, and walked inside with Jason.

Khrys digs in her grip on Simon's leg to try and imobalize it from hitting her, snarling in satisfaction. Simon's words were a shock and she blinked and looked at him releasing is leg in surprise stammering "Murr..w..what?"

Simon leaned back abit, all signs of hostility vanishing and his muscles relaxed. He continoued to smile, wiping a hand across his forehead

"You really seemed to be enjoying yourself there"

He cocked his head to the side a bit, his eyes studying her

"It is certainly interesting to watch you let loose..."

Jason sighed with little relief as she opened the door.

"What? Me? Scared? ...not really, it just came out of nowhere." He stated, looking around the room.

"But if you weren't thinking of that, then what was the surprise?" He asked in wonder.

khry's attention is on Simon's leg muring "id yourr leg alrright?" adding after a brief pause, "I like fighting..its as fun as rrrunning used to be."

 

[CounterAttack]

"Aha. I thought you'd ask that," Katie said as she closed the door behind them. She turned back to Jason with a warm smile on her face, and took a couple of steps closer to him, looking into his eyes. She stepped even closer to him, their bodies gently touching, then she lifted her hand and rested it on Jason's cheek for a few seconds.

Katie reached up on her toes and pressed her lips against his. The tingling feeling in her lips became stronger as she kissed him, and Katie savoured the mingling sensations of both her lips and her heart, which was beating a little faster.

"I'm fine. And its a nice change, you're so much more..."

Simon waved his hands in the air, unable to grap the words.

He was fairly certain he was fine however This kind of activity probably wasn't best for his leg though

"You know what? I'm out. I don't think I can take it anymore. Between that crazy chick, that ice guy breaking the just rebuilt ceiling, and whatever is happening between those two I'm just...screw it. There's still a cake on the table in case anyone wants it...rainbow cake. Mum said she'd be making it for my birthday, tell me if you think it's good brother. Time to head home and get some sleep, mission tomorrow. Don't worry nothing to do with you guys," Leland said before leaving, waving goodbye to the few who even cared as he left the Promenade so he could teleport home.

"Well, that was interesting," Garrus said to those in the lounge.

"Interesting isn't the exact word I would use to describe it." Richard said before taking another sip.

 

[Souldemon8]

The doctor that was now employed at the infirmary was sitting at a nearby desk monitoring Aaron's vitals. All of a sudden a large beeping startled the doctor. He turned to a screen which was monitoring Aaron's body temperature.

"80 degrees Fahrenheit, 60 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 degrees Fahrenheit," the doctor read off looking over Aaron's files. He noticed Aaron's powers on his medical records and ignored the temperature drop. The doctor went back to writing down some notes.

A sudden chill filled the room. The doctor got up to see if he could find a thermostat. As he made his way around the room looking for a way to turn up the heat the room's temperature started to plunge. Ice started to from on the walls and the floor became almost impossible to walk on without sliding.

The doctor turned to Aaron's unconscious body and noticed ice started to from on his body. Every single computer that was hooked up to Aaron started to blurt out wild numbers. The doctor turned to the door though he soon found a wall of ice blocking his path.

As the doctor turned he met something that could only be seen in nightmares.

A large yell rang throughout the Promenade.

Richard immediately set his glass down.

"That sounded like it came from the infirmary, something tells me today just got a whole lot worse. You guys check it out and I'll be right back." Richard said before running to get his suit on. He made it back to his room and immediately got said suit on before leaving his room to rejoin the others.

As much as Jason was enjoying the session between him and Katie, things just didn't seem right to him.

"This is going way too fast." He thought.

"As much as I want this to happen, I didn't want it to happen this quickly. But if she wants this..."

Before things could get any deeper, a loud scream broke their concentration.

"What was that? It sounded like it came from the Promenade." Jason quickly said, instantly becoming alert.

 

[tsatoma]

"Fuck just when I was about to have some cake," Garrus cursed as he heard the yell and got up and headed towards the infirmary. The temperature quickly started to drop as he neared it, and he stopped as he saw the icy door.

"Er guys," he said into his comm, "I think we have a big problem. I want everyone down to the infirmary stat."

"I'm on my way." Richard said in full suit as he ran before reaching the door and seeing Garrus standing there with it iced over..

"I hope this isn't what I think it is." Richard said before getting on the comm himself.

"Put a rush on that people. I don't care who you are or what you're doing, get to the infirmary now." He said as calmly as possible, his voice betraying nothing of the situation. He got off the comm.

"If there was ever a time to be glad your power comes from an external suit with you kept in a controlled environment. I would think it would be now." He mused blandly as he looked at the door.

 

[CounterAttack]

"Dammit, we can't get a break to ourselves, can we?" Katie said after Richard spoke in her ear, immediately stepping away from Jason towards the door. It opened at her touch and the two heroes began running through the Promenade. "I haven't been to the infirmary before. Which way do we go?" Katie asked through her comm as she ran.

"Go up the stairs and follow the cold. When you see us in front of a door covered in frost, that's the infirmary." Richard replied neutrally.
